Legit 8:59 seconds onward from the characters selection screen in direct point of view really took me right back to mobile RPG Alchemy Stars I played a while back. From hair to skins, I feel like that game had to have been some sort of inspo-taking from there! I loved the reminiscent physics and interaction when I thought of Alchemy Stars (separate game developer)-a turn-based warfare type game outdone with its similar beautiful visuals illuminating parallel character art styles as we see in Reverse 1999, in contrast to Alchemy Stars' gameplay’s strategic roleplaying by means of tile-based grids as the combat’s mechanics. A lot of the terrain motion in the original trailer video for Reverse 1999 had me flashback to cutscene dialogues in Alchemy Stars when taking a look at the art, but in that trailer it shows more story dimension, cinema and detailed settings surrounding the characters in scenes. In this video, the voiceovers during which each character turn’s card is drawn up had me reminded of Hearthstone’s gameplay voiceovers for some reason (it’s probably the domelike shaped cards that gets to me)! The Reverse 1999’s motions in the character’s abilities in combat perspective of the preview here feel way less parallax-y than those that seem kind of monotone and confined in Alchemy Stars due to a lot of tiles in focus of combat, which its game gives fewer dimensions in the character actively moving tile to tile than is explicitly shown when the character attacks by turn. Here, in this game’s mechanics, there is brilliant capture, more simulation in the combat and simulation in roleplay. The feel from eyes to color and outline of these characters are like Alchemy Stars’ but with greater increments and anticipatable medium than Alchemy Stars style (still a great game overall!).

And that his preferred pronouns are drugs. 😂 Specifically pregabalin (medicine for anxiety treatment) and rofecoxib (nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory treatment for rheumatoid arthritis). So I guess in the truest sense he's non-binary cuz he's not human. Hopefully we get a real husbando. It's not a fanservice type of game. But the waifus are definitely there and some of em are fanservice oriented. I understand they need to make their sales in the first few months with waifus. But I really hope Reverse 1999 considers their female audience. Despite problems that Hoyoverse might have, at least they do right by their female fanbase.

Nah. Girls aren't heavily sexualized, and there's also male + non-humanoid characters in the mix. Still unfortunate it's a gacha though. Might still play it if the story's good
considering this game got released in china early and we all know what the otaku fanbase in china is extremely toxic, reverse1999 is at a phase where theyre scared of releasing male characters, but it looks like theyll eventually make more, i highly doubt the flooding of female characters would last once it gets released globally and it starts to gain more attraction from the female/lgbt side so far the most popular character in the global fandom is medicine pocket and X so its likely theyll make more men in the future after global release

considering this game got released in china early and we all know what the otaku fanbase in china is extremely toxic, reverse1999 is at a phase where theyre scared of releasing male characters, but it looks like theyll eventually make more, i highly doubt the flooding of female characters would last once it gets released globally and it starts to gain more attraction from the female/lgbt side
so far the most popular character in the global fandom is medicine pocket and X so its likely theyll make more men in the future after global release
