Im sorry for asking this but... how do i get the free 73 pulls? I already started playing a week ago and already got matilda in mail, does that count or do i have to do something different?
I love how wacky the characters are in this game, like theres just straight up a regular dog named pickles, a knight is funny, theres a donkey dude, theres a ufo kidnapping a cow, a sentient raido and apple, and more its just so funny seeing more than just hot or cute people.
It's a really ballsy risk they're taking too because it means we'll most likely get 6* inanimate objects that aren't waifu enough. Despite this though there's no doubt this game will live as long as it will.

Reverse: 1999 is such a pleasant surprise to me when it comes to mobile games this year. I feel like while the wave of new Open-world games rushing in thanks to Genshin setting a higher standard, Reverse: 1999 has done the impossible for Turn-based games: being f2p while having an interesting story, engaging gameplay, fantastic music with gorgeous art... all in one! I really hope this game continues to grow strong and I'm so excited to see more guides and tips or lore analysis for this game!

Kinda sad in my eyes, it literally has a apple as a Main character and other weird ass characters. I don't like the Moral part of this game it gives weird vibes as well, i know it's supposed to be dark-oh boi. But yea absolutly.. the music Is such a banger as well. The Gameplay-Loipe is dogshit though, it's way to oversimplified and i can see it's not a lot of work put in. It's all on the Story, the Music, the Athmospehre. While yes, is very important but can also make it boring long term.
@@kjude2673 Well, im not even sure If it's more of a joke, but it's packed into such a heavy dark vibe so i think they trying some messages. It's even kinda "political". Its very obvious. They talking all the time about this anti-church thing/Mentality and Hard R Word and how bad these guys and aristocrats are and all this. I don't wanna spoil to much. Or for example they talking about "old white men aren't allowed here" in this one scene pretty early one, feels kinda weird? I mean the whole cast/characters are mostly women (for the Main Story 100% correct me If im wrong and almost all 5/6Star), reminds me of Nikke and Honkai Impact a lot. I don't like these games to much. And they make a bit later one some scene about *ehem two female characters blushing. Maybe it's just normal these days, but this game does it in an almost forced way its weird. Next patch apparently there is a whole horse waifu summonable and some weirdo "fairy" who eats birds (?) as a character so uh... I don't know what i should tell you. When i think im not normal often and then this stuff proves me wrong. 🤣🤣 Anyway hopefully i could answer you in some way i tried to put it in works for you. It gives a whole even depressing vibe from it. Dark and Deep is one thing, but that's a bit to crazy.
The Knight single handedly made me want to play the game since i saw the trailer, and dear god like that was one of the best choice of my life. Really like his gameplay, personality, and design. This game just have soo many lovable characters man.
reverse:1999 gave me what NIKKE and other hyped turn-based mobile games couldn't. A story that is easy to progress and dont persuade you to spend just to progress the story forward, great aesthetic, great story as its' main focus, and characters that doesn't just feels to fit certain mainstream tropes.
@@spymadmax584 I dont know why but NIKKE story wasn't very impressive for me. Arknight very first story, couple hours from the beginning, also wasn't very impressive either. Reverse 1999 igot me invested in chapter 3.
Nikke gave us what other cookie cutter gacha games like R1999 and Genshin couldn’t. PLOT that’s easy to enjoy and events worth progressing through. Nikke has a great aesthetics, great assets, and characters that don’t feel like a 5 yo made them up like a floating Apple.
@@standardobjectives dude are you angry or just being ironic with that "assets" and "PLOT" lmao? Its just my experience with NIKKE wasn't really that great with constantly getting stuck in between every chapters when I just wanted to finish my story. Everytimes I reach lvl milestone and after finishing any chapters they are always shoving me with promo bundle pop ups trying to make me spend money, so of course I swiped. But any gacha that doesn't do that, I appreciate them even more.
@@wandersonmorais2819 i get it. but HSR takes 5-10 mins of your day once you catch up on all the content. that's why a game like r1999 is a nice addition. i know it's not for everyone, though!
@@yubalt the problem with HSR its some contents takes time to be done, like latest Infinity Planar. As I have little time... HSR always takes my free time to play. But yeah, I totally understand
I liked playing this game and its f2p friendly so i don't have to gacha just to get 6* psychubes of my characters, although the only issue i find it hard to get is the enlightens that i can use to level up my psychubes. It's sad there's no other way to get enlightens other than pneuma analysis, daily activeness and weekly activiness, i can only upgrade my psychubes 2-3 levels everyday 😭
A tips from me is don't be a tryhard, u can progress in this game easily by only log in once or three times a day, but be productive, collect as many variables materials as you can and only use when u interested in a character or u get a new 6 stars, that's how i can maxed out every new character i got and got the resonate at least to 15
After 3 long years I finally quit genshin a few weeks ago. Not exactly thrilled anymore but I do love genshin. Finding out about this exactly on its global launch made me so happy. I was hesitant to play it at first cuz I saw some posts online saying it's not f2p friendly, but to my surprise it is f2p friendly. Gonna take my time with it this time. Not to mention, the aesthetic of the game too!
Skins, Battlepass, Welkin. They've announced a skin for Regulus, aPPLe, and 1 more that I forgot for next update. Gacha is NOT the only way to get income. Which I'm glad they're fully aware about.
Really hoping to get more end game content. This abyss-like game mode is cool and all but I feel like we need something else. Regardless of that, I think the game is fantastic and I really want them to succeed.
Same, haven't finished it yet, but I'm expecting it'll be like how I handle Spiral Abyss nowadays, they just become a chore and repeatative when you could easily breeze through it.

PSA for single wishers like me, on the special guaranteed 6 star banner try to do 10 wishes at a time because you can get extremely lucky and get all 3. Normally on that banner it goes away as soon as you get one of Eternity, Lilia or Regulus. Also A Knight wow so flashy. So many characters. I wish they keep being generous with currency. That and that my luck holds up.
Yeah, in a lot of these games the dialogues get a bit too "poetic" and start beating around the bush instead of clearly getting to the point. R1999 does this sometimes but it's not that bad.
The only thing that was bugging me was how much information you need to take in. Like the game mechanics are overwhelming for me which takes time to adjust. As well as most of the skill descriptions are complicated to understand. Overall, I give this game an 8/10. I feel like something is missing and that "something" would be great for me.
What I really love is that all of the characters are going to be to the standart after a while, AND they are still getting a rate-up banner if you want them (Totally going for Regulus, I also got Eternity and Knight, which is funny, because I got Knight not even on his banner, so I now have a guaranteed as well)
I'd like to request you to make more content for this game pls, I need more detailed tips for character usage, attack type, etc. (Aside from the tutorial given by the game) I really love this game, mainly because of the setting of the game, and "SOME" of the EN VA there. Like bruh.., EN VA for Vertin and that one mysterious old man who sounds like Morgan Freeman is just. Uhhhhhhhhhhh I'm usually not into a Time travel/wrap theme. But this one is really something else...
Had to mention a lot of people playing this because of how good the EN dub are It's basically has Fgo gameplay with improved arknight mechanic and star rail type of endgame
The story is great. There's a certain poetry to the writing style. Maybe it's that chinese literary tradition that influences korean literature too. That lead to some translation choices that some felt offputting. But it is unique. As for the plot, there's also something different from most games; it has a certain mistique. It's a bit disorienting, there's a mystery going on in the setting that is not revealed until the second half. Reminds me of the experience of watching Lost or Twin Peaks, you don't quite know everything. And that's why it grabs your attention and you don't try to guess what will happen next.
The moment I saw the trailer for this game, I new I was gonna become obsessed with it. And sure enough, I did. The style is something so dam unique for a gacha game, and I ADORE it. I'm a sucker for anything steampunk or cyberpunk styled, and this scratched that itch so well. Initially, the game didn't really seem like it'd be F2P friendly with how expensive the pulls were. It's not until you realize how good the rates are that you see just how F2P friendly it is. I mean, I got 3 5* and a 6* in 1 10 pull, and I don't even think that was insane luck. Not to mention the combat which is also so unique! Like, the fact that they put the main RNG aspect in the combat, and still made it seem fair?? Actually insane to me. Then there's the STORY. I'll be honest, I'm a spacebar warrior with games. It generally doesn't matter how good the story is, I will always skip it, cause that's just not really why I play these games. But I find myself actually stopping and paying attention to this one. It's just that dam good. I had high expectations for this game when I saw the trailer, and it still somehow surpassed them.
I've really enjoyed the game so far, the art style is great, but I've hit that "wall" where I'm having a hard time with the fights and I'll need to start grinding. Definitely a side game to log into just from time to time.
Was having the ‘relic farming pisses me off so i ain’t opening this damn game’ moment in star rail and the usual genshin drought. Decided to download this game out of curiosity and well the ads and all that. I am very very pleasantly surprised. Yeah it’s very f2p friendly. I also like that if you’re just into it for the farming or gacha you can skip the stories and come back to them anytime. The characters are funny as heck to and damn they did not hold back with that age restriction. Can’t wait to see more from it cause so far it’s pretty great!
Honestly, my favorite part is that when the characters talk, they move somewhat realistically. Most games that are similar just have pngs with the occasional mouth and expression change.
I'm kind of split on this game. Yes, it's extremely casual and f2p-friendly - and very pretty - but I do wonder what the longevity of it will be. I was struggling toward the later parts of Story Chapter 3, so used some of the time-limited energy refreshes everyone gets for free to just spam Dust and Sharpodonty stages over and over. I now have Charlie and Tennant at Insight II level ~20 or so and a few others (due to the Beginner Event) at Insight I level 10-40. Thanks to this, I'm halfway through Story Chapter 4 and am breezing through most fights with Charlie, Tennant, An-An Lee and Sonetto. It's also funny that I got Regulus on the Beginner Banner and have basically not used her due to her feeling underwhelming compared to Charlie. Just been dumping all my pulls into Sotheby banner and have Charlie at P2 and Sotheby at P1 right now. I just hope that the update schedule is fairly fast-paced, or it's going to quickly become another Honkai: Star Rail for me, where I just get bored of repeating the same fights ad nauseum. (Star Rail has other issues too, like I just cannot be bothered with the Simulated Universe being a necessity to clear).
It's because Regulus shines once she reaches Insight 2 and higher. While Charlie is good from the get go, and even to some degree be one of the best DPS once you have 3 copies of her.

@@StarryxBu77erfly HSR just started to bore me. The 6-week patch schedule is fine, if they actually include content that isn't the 30th rehash of Simulated Universe. Xianzhou Loufu is being massively dragged out with tiny story quests that take 20 minutes to complete and then it's another 6 weeks of waiting.
@4:42 I managed to further reduce Eternity’s health sacrifice by giving her “his bounden duty” psychube and just making sure I get last hit with her, that psychube regenerates health with every kill 👍
I really wish the cards were easier to read on a mobile screen. But overall, I really like the game and the voice acting is top shelf I haven't fully gotten into it since I was able to roll and didn't get the characters I wanted but I'll give it another go soon
I just started playing this game again. I love it the graphics and story plot are beautiful. It’s a really unique kind of game. It’s different. I’m also on level or was level 31 and every day there’s always something to do. I am not going to lie when I first started playing the game around October I did get scared with some of the animation but yet it was beautiful but scary. But all hands down this is the most beautiful design and art work in an animation game story plot. I am obsessed.
I got into the game because I love X's design and I finally got him yesterday. I love the music and the battle mechanics but the story is a little confusing for me at the moment, but I still haven't completed it yet.
Game has been my second favorite gacha JRPG after Star Rail.. loving it and the updates we know are coming (because China right now is about 5 months ahead) are brilliant!!

I love it because its like a brilliant new era sprite character game. Like Xenogears or Chrono Cross. Beautiful animations. Great VAs. Its definitely worth pulling away from Hoyo for a bit to check this title out. It deserves the attention.
The story itself is really interesting, I really enjoy. Unfortunately I find the combat really boring and the grind to leveling up is horrendous. Yes theres no artifact or relic but the item you need to grind is quite a lot. There's no AI autoplay so we have to manually do the combat first before we can use replay function, this most of the time feel tedious. The UI also little bit confusing, I am still at loss when I want to read the character skill and stat (theres resonate+its load, potray, the caharacter card, psycube) because its cluttered in different page. Good thing is after you grind specific material you can always go back directly to the page where you navigate the item. Its also unfortunate that theres no default character trial (already leveled up, ready to use) to do only the story. In conclusion, side game with good story. Will continue play only for the story
I agree. The combat is pretty frustrating for me since it's hard to read the info of the cards from the main screen on a mobile and it's so RNG that it's hard to strategise If there was an auto function, I'd really appreciate it
I only play one gacha at a time (used to play Love Live School Idol Festival in high school, but stopped playing that for F/GO. Also RIP LLSIF, you will be missed dearly), but I saw an ad for this on UA-cam and I watched the whole thing because it looked crazy and I liked the voice acting. Now I'm 20 seconds in this video and I'm glad I didn't give it any further consideration because it looks like just another "3 guys standing in a row" gacha RPG where you NEED to login and play every day or else you miss out on FOMO shit. I only have the time of day for one of those types of games and I'm already 5 years deep in F/GO. Same reason why I didn't get into Honkai Impact/Star Rail, or Blue Archive. Admittedly though, I've been very curious about Blue Archive recently, but any reason for me to download the game is immediately stopped by the whole FOMO thing again where I just know I've already missed out on so much stuff. It's a shame because Honkai, Blue Archive, and Reverse:1999 all look like they probably have fantastic characters and worldbuilding but I'll never know because the live-service timed-event gacha game formula is a plague on the video game industry.

i got Centurion, and Sotheby in a 10 pull, and a duplicate of Regulus. Man I'm so damn happy lmao. Gacha aside, gameplay is satisfying as hell, story? SO DAMN GOOD. And yeah, this game is super f2p. I reall can't wait for another story chapter, im craving for more.
I'm glad to have Reverse 1999 as my daily 7th game \^o^/ The animation/artstyle and the time period it is set on really tickled my fancy~ I just wish there're variety of typing (Spirit and Intelligence seemed to get the least :')) and everywhere I look is Star and Plant...But it's fine, X is my fav and I'm happy to use him xD I wouldn't call it the best just yet (gonna take a while to see where it can bring me, especially Events wise) but it's definitely something that I can't stop playing for now :)
The Lore is so Good so Far, its very Investing. and I haven't even finished it yet, But there are new contents and characters around Nov. 8 damn. Best Character John Titor and APPLe hands down XD XD. Its the first gacha game that i dint changed to Japanese since the day I played it because I love the voice acting efforts with the English.
I definitely see how it will be a grindfest but look forward to it still. I do love how the VN style is basically all done in a L2D format. My EX- luck has carried over out of the 10 6 stars I have gotten 5 have been dupes, P1 Eternity, P1 Sotherby, P1 druvis, P2 Knight and Medicine Pocket over about 360 total summons. Yes a bit of a whale.
I love this game already the aesthetic is cool, though I skipped the whole story (sorry, more of a gameplay loop player) I'm having a blast. It feels Slay the Spirey with the cards and it's one of my favorite games oat, malding when i missclick an attack or I didn't have the right order as the boss proceeds to wipe my team feels home. 10/10 would recommend.
As a gacha game enthusiast, I really love the game. I spent almost 7 years on a game that I cant progress because it was headed to PVP and Guild battle after it's 4th year. And this game breath out a new kind of game that depend on your strategy and unlocking stories. I hope they can stay strong. From my experience, when people reached end game, they want PVP and it's not pretty for most of the game that I played.
@@LeagleDed AHAHAHAHHA, im a 8 year gamer on that game. Played it since I was 8! I still have a love for it by coming back to it and playing it, but I also have made next to no progression lmao. But I don’t take it to heart. 8 years and no LD5 is what hurts most
@@Mizu-Takasuuu first 5 years. I farm the game for like 13 14 hours a day. Then I see no improvement in my pvp and rta teams. Guild Siege becomes repetitive with the same defence and certain composition to counter. I reached everything at the end and only RTA is there to achieve. I still love the game and if I go back and play I can still enjoy it. But like you said, no improvement and every new dungeon they introduced, there will always be a certain old player who can crack it under a minute run.

My biggest issue is the translation. I started playing to listen to accents, but man, they need somebody to help them proofread the lines. I can easily tell they translated the text from Chinese from the syntax, and though I understand both fluently (I play Genshin and HSR completely in Chinese) I specifically wanted to experience the game in English. Welp, I've complained about it to the devs respectfully, and I think they know about it. The recent survey tells me enough. Hopefully Reverse: 1999 improves over time. I have high hopes for the game, after all.
It's ridiculous that the voice actors were hired to do the voice and they literally only care about that thing, speak whatever they saw on the script and didnt even bother suggesting modification in wording.
to be honest I love HSR , it actually took my attention away from genshin because I'm challenged and it goes back to turned based RPG'S which are nostalgic to me. The only thing that has disappointed me was the toxic "main" audience , I had someone call be a toxic IL main when I was explaining the difference between him an JL - the most toxic naysayers have been from the genshin/HSR/TOF audience and it gets old and I have seen it surfacing (slightly) with this game i.e. eternity mains I have already seen posts about. That shit is cringe and it can lead to the same bs wars about who is the best character and insufferable debates that really are pointless and discourage people from authentically enjoying the game for what is is that being said I have really , really really enjoyed the care they have put into the game, the voice acting , the personalities / I laugh every time I hear lilyas cattiness " don't be in and out you're bugging me.." Im really really really hoping they continue putting the love into this game .
The most enjoyable turn-based gachanime game so far, i've enjoyed it far more than the likes of HSR, FGO, or E7... It will be my main gacha along with AK and the good thing is, the progression system is also very similiar...
1:35 imagine that gachas have gotten so greedy that people are excited because you can actually earn BiS weapons in-game instead of having to buy them outright 😩 What era are we living in
I wish I liked this game more.. The story is intriguing enough (if very confusing and 'rushed' at the start) and the art is gorgeous, but the gameplay is just very not my speed. Glad to hear Gacha Gamer and others are enjoying it, though!
@@chaosinfernoid9008 For me it's mainly the gameplay, I just don't really like turn-based gacha combat. I enjoy HSR despite its combat, and the presentation in Reverse: 1999, with the chibi-fication of the characters in combat (among other things), just doesn't engage me. Totally a me thing and that's fine! Seems plenty of others like it, and that's great!
@@chaosinfernoid9008 I'm not implying that he force himself to enjoy it. I didn't want to be bothered with the gameplay, so I almost dropped it at the tutorial. Decided to push through and I found I like the characters, story, the island, etc. Now, I've completed the story and most of the hard mode stages. While I'm still not a huge fan of the gameplay, I don't think it's as bad as my initial impression.
Personally I rolled for Sotheby because I plan to go for Changeling in 1.2. Sadly I lost the 50/50 but it was a half sadness because I got Medicine Pocket who is a beast, and on my way for the fix pity I got Bkorn aswell. From the beginner banner I got Regulus but Sonetto most of the times out damage her. I was also lucky enough to raise Baby Blue P4 and she’s my next target for grinding. I like this game as a daily side stuff and I will be honest with you. The 4 picture line in the gallery which was inspired by da Vinci’s last supper hit me so freaking hard…
Later on when the raid was added, I DO really need i3 characters and really GOOD teams to reach SSS rank. It's truly the hardest moment in the game, because 6* is hard to get normally.
Regulus is awesome. She makes you evade the next round after ult. You have to play here every other round so the leaf healer and the main chick is my team with dikke in the back since I got her 3/5
I wish there was more end game content because after the story ends there isn't much to do. However, the style of the game makes it so that the story carries the game hard on t terms of enjoyability
I'm so torn with this one, because the reason I played is literally the accents. So I'm really in love with Vertin's British accent but the fact that Sonetto's VA can't decide what accent to use is screwing with my head. lol Not to mention the voice acting feels absolutely amateur. Hopefully they get better soon because the premise is interesting enough to keep me playing but man even the story telling is kinda falling flat. 5/10 will keep playing. Also, I NEED SCHNEIDER, I NEED HER.

Well, im not even sure If it's more of a joke, but it's packed into such a heavy dark vibe so i think they trying some messages. It's even kinda "political". Its very obvious. They talking all the time about this anti-church thing/Mentality and Hard R Word and how bad these guys and aristocrats are and all this. I don't wanna spoil to much. Or for example they talking about "old white men aren't allowed here" in this one scene pretty early one, feels kinda weird? I mean the whole cast/characters are mostly women (for the Main Story 100% correct me If im wrong and almost all 5/6Star), reminds me of Nikke and Honkai Impact a lot. I don't like these games to much. And they make a bit later one some scene about *ehem two female characters blushing. Maybe it's just normal these days, but this game does it in an almost forced way its weird. Next patch apparently there is a whole horse waifu summonable and some weirdo "fairy" who eats birds (?) as a character so uh... I don't know what i should tell you. When i think im not normal often and then this stuff proves me wrong. 🤣🤣 Anyway hopefully i could answer you in some way i tried to put it in works for you. It gives a whole even depressing vibe from it. Dark and Deep is one thing, but that's a bit to crazy.

The Knight single handedly made me want to play the game since i saw the trailer, and dear god like that was one of the best choice of my life.

reverse:1999 gave me what NIKKE and other hyped turn-based mobile games couldn't. A story that is easy to progress and dont persuade you to spend just to progress the story forward, great aesthetic, great story as its' main focus, and characters that doesn't just feels to fit certain mainstream tropes.
Nikke story was good, but just like ark nights you'll be stuck somewhere and that's where I drop it usually

Nikke gave us what other cookie cutter gacha games like R1999 and Genshin couldn’t. PLOT that’s easy to enjoy and events worth progressing through. Nikke has a great aesthetics, great assets, and characters that don’t feel like a 5 yo made them up like a floating Apple.

Its just my experience with NIKKE wasn't really that great with constantly getting stuck in between every chapters when I just wanted to finish my story. Everytimes I reach lvl milestone and after finishing any chapters they are always shoving me with promo bundle pop ups trying to make me spend money, so of course I swiped. But any gacha that doesn't do that, I appreciate them even more.

I liked playing this game and its f2p friendly so i don't have to gacha just to get 6* psychubes of my characters, although the only issue i find it hard to get is the enlightens that i can use to level up my psychubes. It's sad there's no other way to get enlightens other than pneuma analysis, daily activeness and weekly activiness, i can only upgrade my psychubes 2-3 levels everyday 😭
You can redeem them in the shop as well

A tips from me is don't be a tryhard, u can progress in this game easily by only log in once or three times a day, but be productive, collect as many variables materials as you can and only use when u interested in a character or u get a new 6 stars, that's how i can maxed out every new character i got and got the resonate at least to 15
After 3 long years I finally quit genshin a few weeks ago. Not exactly thrilled anymore but I do love genshin. Finding out about this exactly on its global launch made me so happy. I was hesitant to play it at first cuz I saw some posts online saying it's not f2p friendly, but to my surprise it is f2p friendly. Gonna take my time with it this time. Not to mention, the aesthetic of the game too!

PSA for single wishers like me, on the special guaranteed 6 star banner try to do 10 wishes at a time because you can get extremely lucky and get all 3. Normally on that banner it goes away as soon as you get one of Eternity, Lilia or Regulus. Also A Knight wow so flashy. So many characters. I wish they keep being generous with currency. That and that my luck holds up.
My gripe with this game is that the story feels like having an aneurysm because of how little sense you get out of what's happening.

Yeah, in a lot of these games the dialogues get a bit too "poetic" and start beating around the bush instead of clearly getting to the point. R1999 does this sometimes but it's not that bad.

The only thing that was bugging me was how much information you need to take in. Like the game mechanics are overwhelming for me which takes time to adjust. As well as most of the skill descriptions are complicated to understand. Overall, I give this game an 8/10. I feel like something is missing and that "something" would be great for me.

What I really love is that all of the characters are going to be to the standart after a while, AND they are still getting a rate-up banner if you want them (Totally going for Regulus, I also got Eternity and Knight, which is funny, because I got Knight not even on his banner, so I now have a guaranteed as well)

I really love this game, mainly because of the setting of the game, and "SOME" of the EN VA there. Like bruh.., EN VA for Vertin and that one mysterious old man who sounds like Morgan Freeman is just. Uhhhhhhhhhhh

The story is great. There's a certain poetry to the writing style. Maybe it's that chinese literary tradition that influences korean literature too. That lead to some translation choices that some felt offputting. But it is unique.
As for the plot, there's also something different from most games; it has a certain mistique. It's a bit disorienting, there's a mystery going on in the setting that is not revealed until the second half. Reminds me of the experience of watching Lost or Twin Peaks, you don't quite know everything. And that's why it grabs your attention and you don't try to guess what will happen next.
The moment I saw the trailer for this game, I new I was gonna become obsessed with it. And sure enough, I did. The style is something so dam unique for a gacha game, and I ADORE it. I'm a sucker for anything steampunk or cyberpunk styled, and this scratched that itch so well. Initially, the game didn't really seem like it'd be F2P friendly with how expensive the pulls were. It's not until you realize how good the rates are that you see just how F2P friendly it is. I mean, I got 3 5* and a 6* in 1 10 pull, and I don't even think that was insane luck.
Not to mention the combat which is also so unique! Like, the fact that they put the main RNG aspect in the combat, and still made it seem fair?? Actually insane to me.
Then there's the STORY. I'll be honest, I'm a spacebar warrior with games. It generally doesn't matter how good the story is, I will always skip it, cause that's just not really why I play these games. But I find myself actually stopping and paying attention to this one. It's just that dam good. I had high expectations for this game when I saw the trailer, and it still somehow surpassed them.
I've really enjoyed the game so far, the art style is great, but I've hit that "wall" where I'm having a hard time with the fights and I'll need to start grinding. Definitely a side game to log into just from time to time.
Was having the ‘relic farming pisses me off so i ain’t opening this damn game’ moment in star rail and the usual genshin drought. Decided to download this game out of curiosity and well the ads and all that. I am very very pleasantly surprised. Yeah it’s very f2p friendly. I also like that if you’re just into it for the farming or gacha you can skip the stories and come back to them anytime. The characters are funny as heck to and damn they did not hold back with that age restriction. Can’t wait to see more from it cause so far it’s pretty great!
Honestly, my favorite part is that when the characters talk, they move somewhat realistically. Most games that are similar just have pngs with the occasional mouth and expression change.
Definitely the most fun i have in 2023. this game really capture to what i wanted...

I'm kind of split on this game. Yes, it's extremely casual and f2p-friendly - and very pretty - but I do wonder what the longevity of it will be.
I was struggling toward the later parts of Story Chapter 3, so used some of the time-limited energy refreshes everyone gets for free to just spam Dust and Sharpodonty stages over and over.
I now have Charlie and Tennant at Insight II level ~20 or so and a few others (due to the Beginner Event) at Insight I level 10-40. Thanks to this, I'm halfway through Story Chapter 4 and am breezing through most fights with Charlie, Tennant, An-An Lee and Sonetto.
It's also funny that I got Regulus on the Beginner Banner and have basically not used her due to her feeling underwhelming compared to Charlie. Just been dumping all my pulls into Sotheby banner and have Charlie at P2 and Sotheby at P1 right now.
I just hope that the update schedule is fairly fast-paced, or it's going to quickly become another Honkai: Star Rail for me, where I just get bored of repeating the same fights ad nauseum. (Star Rail has other issues too, like I just cannot be bothered with the Simulated Universe being a necessity to clear).
It's because Regulus shines once she reaches Insight 2 and higher. While Charlie is good from the get go, and even to some degree be one of the best DPS once you have 3 copies of her.

@@StarryxBu77erfly HSR just started to bore me. The 6-week patch schedule is fine, if they actually include content that isn't the 30th rehash of Simulated Universe. Xianzhou Loufu is being massively dragged out with tiny story quests that take 20 minutes to complete and then it's another 6 weeks of waiting.

@4:42 I managed to further reduce Eternity’s health sacrifice by giving her “his bounden duty” psychube and just making sure I get last hit with her, that psychube regenerates health with every kill 👍
I really wish the cards were easier to read on a mobile screen. But overall, I really like the game and the voice acting is top shelf

I just started playing this game again. I love it the graphics and story plot are beautiful. It’s a really unique kind of game. It’s different. I’m also on level or was level 31 and every day there’s always something to do. I am not going to lie when I first started playing the game around October I did get scared with some of the animation but yet it was beautiful but scary. But all hands down this is the most beautiful design and art work in an animation game story plot. I am obsessed.
I got into the game because I love X's design and I finally got him yesterday. I love the music and the battle mechanics but the story is a little confusing for me at the moment, but I still haven't completed it yet.
Game has been my second favorite gacha JRPG after Star Rail.. loving it and the updates we know are coming (because China right now is about 5 months ahead) are brilliant!!

I love it because its like a brilliant new era sprite character game. Like Xenogears or Chrono Cross. Beautiful animations. Great VAs. Its definitely worth pulling away from Hoyo for a bit to check this title out. It deserves the attention.

The story itself is really interesting, I really enjoy.
Unfortunately I find the combat really boring and the grind to leveling up is horrendous. Yes theres no artifact or relic but the item you need to grind is quite a lot. There's no AI autoplay so we have to manually do the combat first before we can use replay function, this most of the time feel tedious.
The UI also little bit confusing, I am still at loss when I want to read the character skill and stat (theres resonate+its load, potray, the caharacter card, psycube) because its cluttered in different page. Good thing is after you grind specific material you can always go back directly to the page where you navigate the item.
Its also unfortunate that theres no default character trial (already leveled up, ready to use) to do only the story.
In conclusion, side game with good story. Will continue play only for the story

I only play one gacha at a time (used to play Love Live School Idol Festival in high school, but stopped playing that for F/GO. Also RIP LLSIF, you will be missed dearly), but I saw an ad for this on UA-cam and I watched the whole thing because it looked crazy and I liked the voice acting. Now I'm 20 seconds in this video and I'm glad I didn't give it any further consideration because it looks like just another "3 guys standing in a row" gacha RPG where you NEED to login and play every day or else you miss out on FOMO shit. I only have the time of day for one of those types of games and I'm already 5 years deep in F/GO. Same reason why I didn't get into Honkai Impact/Star Rail, or Blue Archive. Admittedly though, I've been very curious about Blue Archive recently, but any reason for me to download the game is immediately stopped by the whole FOMO thing again where I just know I've already missed out on so much stuff. It's a shame because Honkai, Blue Archive, and Reverse:1999 all look like they probably have fantastic characters and worldbuilding but I'll never know because the live-service timed-event gacha game formula is a plague on the video game industry.

The Lore is so Good so Far, its very Investing. and I haven't even finished it yet, But there are new contents and characters around Nov. 8 damn. Best Character John Titor and APPLe hands down XD XD. Its the first gacha game that i dint changed to Japanese since the day I played it because I love the voice acting efforts with the English.
I definitely see how it will be a grindfest but look forward to it still. I do love how the VN style is basically all done in a L2D format. My EX- luck has carried over out of the 10 6 stars I have gotten 5 have been dupes, P1 Eternity, P1 Sotherby, P1 druvis, P2 Knight and Medicine Pocket over about 360 total summons. Yes a bit of a whale.

I love this game already the aesthetic is cool, though I skipped the whole story (sorry, more of a gameplay loop player) I'm having a blast. It feels Slay the Spirey with the cards and it's one of my favorite games oat, malding when i missclick an attack or I didn't have the right order as the boss proceeds to wipe my team feels home.

As a gacha game enthusiast, I really love the game. I spent almost 7 years on a game that I cant progress because it was headed to PVP and Guild battle after it's 4th year. And this game breath out a new kind of game that depend on your strategy and unlocking stories. I hope they can stay strong. From my experience, when people reached end game, they want PVP and it's not pretty for most of the game that I played.

@@Mizu-Takasuuu first 5 years. I farm the game for like 13 14 hours a day. Then I see no improvement in my pvp and rta teams. Guild Siege becomes repetitive with the same defence and certain composition to counter. I reached everything at the end and only RTA is there to achieve.
I still love the game and if I go back and play I can still enjoy it. But like you said, no improvement and every new dungeon they introduced, there will always be a certain old player who can crack it under a minute run.

My biggest issue is the translation. I started playing to listen to accents, but man, they need somebody to help them proofread the lines. I can easily tell they translated the text from Chinese from the syntax, and though I understand both fluently (I play Genshin and HSR completely in Chinese) I specifically wanted to experience the game in English.
Welp, I've complained about it to the devs respectfully, and I think they know about it. The recent survey tells me enough. Hopefully Reverse: 1999 improves over time. I have high hopes for the game, after all.
It's ridiculous that the voice actors were hired to do the voice and they literally only care about that thing, speak whatever they saw on the script and didnt even bother suggesting modification in wording.

to be honest I love HSR , it actually took my attention away from genshin because I'm challenged and it goes back to turned based RPG'S which are nostalgic to me. The only thing that has disappointed me was the toxic "main" audience , I had someone call be a toxic IL main when I was explaining the difference between him an JL - the most toxic naysayers have been from the genshin/HSR/TOF audience and it gets old

I enjoy HSR despite its combat, and the presentation in Reverse: 1999, with the chibi-fication of the characters in combat (among other things), just doesn't engage me.

Decided to push through and I found I like the characters, story, the island, etc. Now, I've completed the story and most of the hard mode stages. While I'm still not a huge fan of the gameplay, I don't think it's as bad as my initial impression.

Personally I rolled for Sotheby because I plan to go for Changeling in 1.2. Sadly I lost the 50/50 but it was a half sadness because I got Medicine Pocket who is a beast, and on my way for the fix pity I got Bkorn aswell. From the beginner banner I got Regulus but Sonetto most of the times out damage her. I was also lucky enough to raise Baby Blue P4 and she’s my next target for grinding.
I like this game as a daily side stuff and I will be honest with you. The 4 picture line in the gallery which was inspired by da Vinci’s last supper hit me so freaking hard…

Later on when the raid was added, I DO really need i3 characters and really GOOD teams to reach SSS rank. It's truly the hardest moment in the game, because 6* is hard to get normally.
Aside from HSR this has been the only good gacha release this year. Outerplane Aether gazer and Snowbreak feel like theyre stuck in 2016.
The Mega Man Battle Network navi customizer being part of gacha character customization wasn't on my bingo card, but I'm not complaining.

Regulus is awesome. She makes you evade the next round after ult. You have to play here every other round so the leaf healer and the main chick is my team with dikke in the back since I got her 3/5

They're pretty headstrong on being lore consistent.
I wish there was more end game content because after the story ends there isn't much to do. However, the style of the game makes it so that the story carries the game hard on t terms of enjoyability
I'm so torn with this one, because the reason I played is literally the accents. So I'm really in love with Vertin's British accent but the fact that Sonetto's VA can't decide what accent to use is screwing with my head. lol Not to mention the voice acting feels absolutely amateur. Hopefully they get better soon because the premise is interesting enough to keep me playing but man even the story telling is kinda falling flat. 5/10 will keep playing.
