Due to the damage to the railroad system in the Mattertal valley, the continuous line between Visp and Täsch below Zermatt remains closed until at least August 25. All Glacier Express trains will run exclusively between St. Moritz and Brig until the line is opened. On the route between St. Moritz and Brig the normal services are available and the departure and arrival times for all stops will remain as per the timetable. For Glacier Express travelers from/to Zermatt, an appropriate alternative transport service is in operation in an extra train from Zermatt to Täsch and separate buses between Täsch and Brig. Guests affected will be informed directly by Railservice Glacier Express as soon as possible. For departures from Zermatt, we recommend that you arrive at Zermatt station half an hour before the regular departure time. Our staff will then meet you there. Optionally, you can also board the train directly in Brig. Please refer to the timetable for departure times. If you have already booked for the time in question and decide not to take the Glacier Express journey as planned please contact our customer service directly.

The scenery is beautiful and the train has large windows to take it all in. Shame about all that screechy noise from the tracks though. The design of the car can feel a little bit too open and the other guests feel a bit too close for comfort. It can get noisy in the cabin, especially with kids onboard. A bit more soundproofing and interesting design on the car for ex plants or curtains would go a long way.
Now THIS is how you travel by train! Super lux and the food and drinks look fabulous. Well worth the price. Only things I would change is this compartment should be adults only (no loud kids to ruin the amazing journey), and the wine selection appears to be Swiss. No offence but would much rather have French wines to choose from than crappy Blau and Spatburgunders (although I did see a Laurent-Perrier Champagne). For $800 one would expect a more curated wine list. Food looks amazing.
I wanted to write something similar, but thought I was being too nitpicky. But no, I came across your comment )))) Yes, I also believe that a trip with such a view, and for such a ticket price, should be in silence and comfort, not with the squeaking of other people's children. I'm sure that cultured parents, of any nationality, would have told their children to keep their voices down. But I also believe that railway workers could do the same.

Hope someday when the rail system in Europe becomes so interconnected that we can see this type of service all over the continent for far travel, like train hotel-restaurant.
Imagine this on a Christmas trip in Europe.

Edit: I was so happy to find a non-blabbing channel that I didn’t even notice, you actually said the price, at the start of the title, without dancing around the question
Youre doing a public service with this channel; thank you
All the conditions for an unforgettable trip!
Except for the noisy kiddos
Luxurious version of snowpiecer😂 14:03

Waaoo I LOVE WONDERFUL SWITZERLAND , AND I LOVE ZERMATT, AND ST MORITZ AND MATTERHORN AND I LOVE ST FRANCHESCO EVERYMINUTE AMEN 💐💝🫂😎🙋🫂💝🍀🍀🍀🍀💐💐💐
First class video. Liked 👍
beautiful scenery, although they'd have to carry me out of the train from all the drinks i'd have
This is really spectacular!!
Man did not miss a single drink.😂😂😂😂😂😂
Hearing the kids in the background was annoying, and yes, I love kids. They should be in a different car for those prices.
I'm fully agree with you.
First thing I thought, and I hate other people’s kids
Those are Russian kids they are annoying just like their parents
I had to turn the video off because of it.
Wowww awesome amezing view in the train 👍👍👍👌👌👍👍
I’d be struggling to find my room after all that wine 😂
That was awesome!
Great video…. Too bad I couldn’t finished watching as the kids are “scratching my nerves” …
I agree. I would have been thinking in my head "shut the he'll up"

Beautiful. I want to visit soon.
8 hours? Its a dream.

They should have separate space for family’s with kids and separate space for people with no kids.
You did da same things when you were a kid. Do not curse them. Let them be kids.

@@State_supreme no I did not. My mother ensured we were always behaved as I did my daughter and as she does hers.

Amazing clip. Like it
I wanted to write something similar, but thought I was being too nitpicky. But no, I came across your comment ))))
Yes, I also believe that a trip with such a view, and for such a ticket price, should be in silence and comfort, not with the squeaking of other people's children.
I'm sure that cultured parents, of any nationality, would have told their children to keep their voices down.
But I also believe that railway workers could do the same.
Best train ride journey
Tip: As swiss resident - buy a half pass.

09:17 well sound-wise feels like tourist class.. could not relax
Amazing views!! May I know when was this shot? We are still deciding when to visit and take this train ☺️☺️
