As someone who was born here and lived here for the past 37 years, it really is a magical place. I have the crazy alpine view from my home in Bern, but when the sky is clear and the mountains pop out, it is still breathtaking. Even after 3 decades, you don't "get used" to it. I hope you will all soon be able to visit us, as the light at the end of the tunnel now becomes visible. You are most welcome here and I apologize for the slightly crazy prices already in advance.

I visited Switzerland a number of times over the years during my 14 years in Germany. Germany and Austria have their own appeal, but Switzerland is in a category by itself in beauty and charm. Many of my friends reminds me that Switzerland is an expensive country and I should reconsider to visit!!! In my opinion, it's beauty that makes it expensive and it's worth a spend!! I never been to Switzerland tho. But it's always in the top of my bucket list. I pray that God may grants my wishes and I wouldn't hesitate at all to spend my fortune in this beautiful-breathtaking place.
Things that are really expensive are restaurants and hotels. If you're ok with staying at a hostel and eating sandwiches and salads, I'd say it's about the same as neighboring countries.
@@apacheattackhelicopter8185 Well... When my friends and I visited Basel we were a little disappointed to discover we could hardly afford a drink at a cafe or a take-out pizza. It's not just the more top end / sit-down establishments. And public transit is also insanely expensive (but also very good). We double our budget per day for Switzerland days, so it is definitely something to take into consideration, IMO.
meh, some lucky some not, its like in every country, switzerland is not different.... the people in switzerland are in fact mostly very racist and cold hearted compare to other countrys, better bring a lot of money if you want have a good time in this country.

I am from the south-west part of germany right at the border to basel..since i was a child switzerland is a part of my life and i went to switzerland countless times. I love the swiss people and the stunning landscapes. Always a different world 20 minutes away from where i live.

I have been visiting Switzerland on and off for over 10 years and I’ve seen quite a few villages on this list so I am eager now to see the others , I can genuinely say that Switzerland is the No 1 country in the whole world , it is truly a Garden of Eden .

Ich schaffe es gerade mal fast auf halb so viele, 39 :) Als Österreicher bin ich überzeugt wird dir vieles in der Schweiz bekannt vorkommen; sind ja auch Bruderländer :) Architektonisch werden allerdings so einige Sachen neu sein. Ich kann dir wärmstens empfehlen mal in die Schweiz zu reisen. Ich war 2016 zum 2. mal in Wien, meine absolute Lieblingsstadt in der Schweiz. Interessant fände ich vor allem den Semmering und das Salzkammergut; dort will ich unbedingt mal hin :)

As a Swiss person, I've only been to Gruyères and Corippo. So much more to see! I discovered Corippo by looking for a place to park my car to go hiking, I had never heard of the place. When arriving there, I stumbled across an old man whose family is from the village. He offered to give me a tour and provided lots of informations, it was unexpected and amazing.
Hi. That's an interesting story to hear about Corippo. I really loved this village too. I only discovered it when driving up to Lavertezzo and went to take a closer look with my drone :) That was in 2019, my first visit to the village itself was last year :) Switzerland really doesnt stop to amaze us, you will see, Morcote and Epesses are really charming as well; not forgetting to mention Grimentz, the most stereotypical Walliserdorf!

Switzerland is one of the most beautiful places on this Earth, I was there before this Covid started to visit someone really special for me. Most than falling in love for the person, it was also for this beautiful country. I hope to be going back really soon. Hi Simone. Indeed, a lot among us Swiss forgot how beautiful it actually is in here! In 2020, I limited my travels almost entirely to Switzerland (except Bellagio in July). It was amazing to explore all these villages. Late 2021, I will present another top 10 list; with different villages. Maybe if you want, we can meet up and walk through Gandria. Never been down in the village, but it looks beautiful from my drone view :)

I was in Switzerland several times. My last visit 2020. Swiss people very helpful and honest. There is very good train and bus service. German and French most of them speaks but Italy border area speak Italy and most of them speak English. Best wishes from Singapore.

I promised to myself that one day, I'll be visiting Switzerland 🇨🇭. This is a real life paradise I must say, and honestly, I'd rather live there than being in cities. Just look at that, the nature, the morning fresh air and atmosphere, etc... it is a wholesome feeling! 🌬️💚🍃 I pray that, when this pandemic ends, when I'm already done with my studies and earned enough money to travel - nothing will change on how Switzerland looks like rn. I definitely can say: Having grown up in a Swiss village and having lived in big cities, life on the country side is going to be very relaxing and beautiful. The best of both worlds can be enjoyed when choosing to live in villages nearby bigger cities :)

I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for making this video. I had to make some last-minute plans for our two-week trip to Europe two months ago because the vacation company cancelled their 9-day tour of Switzerland. I watched your video and researched the towns that are between Zermatt and Milan, Italy, and I settled on Morcote. We stayed down the road in a beautiful place by the lake in Melide, and once I figured out how to use the bus system, we made our way to Morcote and spent a lovely day there. We at at Gandolf's and climbed the stairs to the church and just relaxed and took in all the beauty. We visited several European cities and Morcote was my favorite. Now I'm planning a return trip to spend more time there and visit other wonderful Swiss cities. Thank you again!

I visited some of these villages: Corippo, Morcote, and Lauterbrunnen, they are all very beautiful, especially for the nice location and the surrounding natural landscape. I also liked a lot Poschiavo (in the Italian-speaking area in Graubuenden) and Iseltwald, by the Lake Brienz.

Everything is 2/3 time more expensive than france or germany.

Ich schaffe es gerade mal fast auf halb so viele, 39 :) Als Österreicher bin ich überzeugt wird dir vieles in der Schweiz bekannt vorkommen; sind ja auch Bruderländer :) Architektonisch werden allerdings so einige Sachen neu sein. Ich kann dir wärmstens empfehlen mal in die Schweiz zu reisen. Ich war 2016 zum 2. mal in Wien, meine absolute Lieblingsstadt in der Schweiz. Interessant fände ich vor allem den Semmering und das Salzkammergut; dort will ich unbedingt mal hin :)

As a Swiss person, I've only been to Gruyères and Corippo. So much more to see!
I discovered Corippo by looking for a place to park my car to go hiking, I had never heard of the place. When arriving there, I stumbled across an old man whose family is from the village. He offered to give me a tour and provided lots of informations, it was unexpected and amazing.
Hi. That's an interesting story to hear about Corippo. I really loved this village too. I only discovered it when driving up to Lavertezzo and went to take a closer look with my drone :) That was in 2019, my first visit to the village itself was last year :) Switzerland really doesnt stop to amaze us, you will see, Morcote and Epesses are really charming as well; not forgetting to mention Grimentz, the most stereotypical Walliserdorf!

Most than falling in love for the person, it was also for this beautiful country. I hope to be going back really soon. Hi Simone. Indeed, a lot among us Swiss forgot how beautiful it actually is in here! In 2020, I limited my travels almost entirely to Switzerland (except Bellagio in July). It was amazing to explore all these villages. Late 2021, I will present another top 10 list; with different villages. Maybe if you want, we can meet up and walk through Gandria. Never been down in the village, but it looks beautiful from my drone view :)

I was in Switzerland several times. My last visit 2020. Swiss people very helpful and honest. There is very good train and bus service. German and French most of them speaks but Italy border area speak Italy and most of them speak English. Best wishes from Singapore.

I definitely can say: Having grown up in a Swiss village and having lived in big cities, life on the country side is going to be very relaxing and beautiful. The best of both worlds can be enjoyed when choosing to live in villages nearby bigger cities :)

I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for making this video. I had to make some last-minute plans for our two-week trip to Europe two months ago because the vacation company cancelled their 9-day tour of Switzerland. I watched your video and researched the towns that are between Zermatt and Milan, Italy, and I settled on Morcote. We stayed down the road in a beautiful place by the lake in Melide, and once I figured out how to use the bus system, we made our way to Morcote and spent a lovely day there. We at at Gandolf's and climbed the stairs to the church and just relaxed and took in all the beauty. We visited several European cities and Morcote was my favorite. Now I'm planning a return trip to spend more time there and visit other wonderful Swiss cities. Thank you again!

I visited some of these villages: Corippo, Morcote, and Lauterbrunnen, they are all very beautiful, especially for the nice location and the surrounding natural landscape. I also liked a lot Poschiavo (in the Italian-speaking area in Graubuenden) and Iseltwald, by the Lake Brienz.
