Just explained to my wife how your journey has helped me through my recovery from Cancer...I own a 93 Range Rover classic very well kitted..I got sick and haven't ventured out.. now all's good. My wife " are u a patron" 😐 I am now!
Congratulations on beating cancer! Enjoy that sweet Range Rover setup. I hope you'll join in the discussion over on Patreon too, I don't get to comments regularly here due to my backwoods fieldwork :).
Thank you for all the inspiring video. Your adventures have encouraged us (my husband and myself) to not shrink back. We finally got our Ursa Minor top for our Jeep and are testing out our gear on some short trips in and around VA and NC. We are excited to be presently experiencing the National Park at Oregon Inlet NC, which is part of the outer-banks in our Jeep. We have driven on the beach many times but camping in the midst of the dunes gives a fresh perspective on the beauty of the nature that surrounds us. Thanks again for always sharing your experiences honestly both the beauty of our world through your videos as well as your “oops” while driving on new trails. Sharing through your channel helps to encourage people to get up and out trying new things even as beginners. Keep on sharing and teaching ...
Love this channel. I never get tired of the footage of the Jeep on a forested mountain trail. It’s truly in its natural habitat. With the free advertising Jeep gets from your channel, you should never have to pay for service.
I can’t tell you how amazing your recap video is ... your adventures and filming techniques are beyond what I ever expected anyone could do. Thanks Chris for sharing your adventures!
Wow !!WOW!!! and SO MANY OOZZ AND O'Z! AND A COUPLE LITERAL JAW DROPPERS!! BEAUTIFUL PHOTOGRAPHY AMAZING SCENERY! LUVED THE SCARY SNOW-IN !! TK GOODNESS FOR THE HANDYDANDY WINCE! AWWSOME THANKYOU CANT EXPRESS HOW ENJOYABLE ALL YOUR HARD WORK WAS TO ME. KEEP EXPLORING!! TKU SO MUCH!!
Thanks for the Video Chris! You have inspired me to finally pick up a Rubicon and start exploring the world. These first two weeks of October ended up being my first Overland trip and I ended up hitting SEVEN National Forests along the way and ended up with a Lodging bill of $0. Colorado was definitely some of the roughest trails I encountered as well. Anyway, thanks for the inspiration and as Rick Steves would say, keep on traveling!
Great recap. I enjoyed the walk down memory lane. I usually don't comment because I watch it on the big screen with AppleTV, but always look forward to each episode. Thanks!
Ahhhh a lazy Sunday afternoon. Chris I t’s great to be able to watch all the many places you’d visited over the past several months. This just makes me want a Jeep even more so.
When you see this many beautiful things / places and work this hard at sharing them, it is SO worth a recap and time off. Thanks for all that you do Chris! You inspire SO many of us! Always can’t wait to see what’s next! Safe travels! ~ Lady Overland (IG)
Thank you for taking my mind away from the reality of 2020 and allowing me to follow your adventures during this time period. BTW... you friend's cooking beats yours by a mile! She's a keeper! Don't let her go!
Thanks Chris, for letting us into your world again. Looking back was fun and I sorry but I had to laugh again when that Montana branch slapped you again and that look on your face. ( TYPICAL) . Thank you again for the ride along.
Glad to see the recap. I hope the week off was good to you. I watch every week & really look forward to each video. Until you post something like this I don't realize how much territory you actually cover. WOW!!
This has to be my favorite ep yet,my viewing started with YT suggestion for v10e08 and the wife and i were so impressed with the video that we watched all the rest and wait with anticipation for each new ep:)
I really like how you started this video.....showing the rawness of have a Jeep and going places....also that your jeep is mostly stock.....is also really awesome. We can’t be trail recon if you know what I’m saying. I really think the best video you have ever made was you getting stuck on the mountain and making the best out of it.......and coming to the understanding that every trip doesn’t always end with what we think it should aka views or hidden gems. Anyway love the videos and hey get stuck and show the truth of adventures.
This video showcases all of my favorite places around Silverton. Everything from Clear Lake to ophir pass to Wager Gulch to Animas Forks and on and on. I love it!
😎👍 Thank you Chris for another great videoI hope you had a wonderful week off you very muchly deserve it keep up the great work it is a staple of my Saturday morning. 😎👍
I’m glad you were able to recharge and get back to the videos and traveling. I have received so much inspiration from you and I can’t wait to start my own channel and begin my overland adventures. I’ve been watching you for awhile but I just created this account for whenever I start my adventures. I really hope to travel with you someday!
I'm been checking out your vlogs for a while now. I enjoy your travels. I want to tell how much i really enjoyed a recent vlog where you got snowed in. I learned alot. Especially about how to use a winch. Thanks so much. You vlogs will really help me in my future overland adventures. Cheers, Rodney
Another great video. Thank you for taking the time and listening to me ramble in the Starbucks parking lot. I hope I was successful in conveying how much your videos meant to me while I was going thru cancer treatment for two years. It was one of the things that kept me going when I couldn’t see the end. Thank you for all you do to entertain us all. By the way, my Jeep is still I the the shop in Salida. It was broken into while waiting for engine repairs. 😫 I’m looking forward to new videos with your girlfriend in them. I’m so happy for you and wish you both the best. Cristina
Hi Cristina! It was SO lovely to meet you, your story touched my heart and I wish you the very best. Very sorry to hear your jeep is still in the shop, and how horrible that it was broken into! I hope you get all of that sorted very soon. All the best.
The amount of work that went into making this film, and all your other films is astonishing. Absolutely impressive. You also definitely nailed some of the locations - either by happenstance or planning. Especially in the SW. I spent the earlier part of this year traversing the SW as well, off grid, camping and traveling without much contact to the world. And at no point would I have been able to put in the amount of work you did. Kudos all around.
Great recap!👍 Amazing how many places we both have been to but never crossed paths. Most Jeep dealers think they are premadonnas and aren't concerned about those of us on the road. Was told a 2-3 hour wait for an oil change, Really! Keep up the great work.
Thank you for the recap Chris, it was a nice look back to your trips, I rewatched a couple videos after this one ended :) . Take care keep up the great work!!!
What a great vlog....you travel just like I do...solo free to roam and take any road that suits you...great job....looking foreword to the next one....thanks for sharing and being real !!!
So Carson and Garnet the ghost town that I met you outside of are the coolest ghost towns I've ever seen. Man I wish I could have chatted with you longer at Glacier but I'm very grateful to have met you. Keep up the good work and don't forget Kentucky Adventure tour
Just got further into this video. I’m vary happy for you as you got yto visit crystal city and marble,, my favorite places in my adopted state of Colorado
Hay Chris, nice recap. Thanks! Looks like you’re sporting a Lifestyles Overland tee shirt, nice that you’re supporting there channel. Looking forward to next week!!
I’ve been reminiscing on Ouray since we left! Engineer, Ophir, last dollar, Yankee boy and corkscrew pass are a must see! Cinematic Views! I really enjoy your footage hope all is well (:
@TX4wheelin Yes, I understand, but when he mentioned extraction I wondered how any equipment that could help would ever get in there. I guess just manpower and a few manual cable pullers if he really would need extraction. (???)
@@jacksak he was being melodramatic. In a situation like this with no medical emergency, if he’d have called for help they would have accessed the situation and told him to wait until the weather improved and drive out. If there had been an emergency they probably would have gotten him out with a helicopter. “Extraction”, phsst, like he was in a combat zone...whatever.
@@corydriver7634 I agree with the melodramatic and helicopter if needed, but was thinking of "extracting" the Jeep where another rescue vehicle would get stuck or couldn't reach there. Just wondering what happens to vehicles that get in too far, trapped.

Nice recap of the summer and early fall. My wife and I are still kinda bummed about missing you after we saw you coming past Mt. Princeton Hot Springs. Would have been cool to take you to lunch that day. CHEERS from Colorado
Great video as usual, thanks. A set of light chains is a must and will blow your mind as to what they will do. Escaping that snow would have been a breeze. Can you share what winch setup you have? I have a stock bumper and do not want an after market one. Looks like your’s should work for me, thanks.
Hi Ron! So, I run a COMEUP SEAL Gen2 9.5si Winch and am very happy with it. I'll actually address the bumper switch in my upcoming Q&A video. Also, you can see the basics of my setup here if you're curious about anything else: ok4wd.com/blog/venture4wd/. Thanks for watching and commenting!
@@venture4wd Thanks for the reply. Does it have to be that winch to fit on top of a regular wrangler bumper? I did not know one could mount a winch on top of a stock bumper, but maybe it's built for that.
