In this video I breakdown the recording template Bainz who has credits with gunna, polo g, youngthug, pop smoke, Travis Scott, and basically every major hip-hop recording artist. This is undoubtedly the best recording template in 2021 as it has a number of unique features like autotune grouping, advanced vocal processing, and advanced beat processing.

Im not sure if someone already said this, but your have mistake in video, Bainz routes his Recording track not into his VOX1 but in Rec Vox Bus so artist can be more comfortable with monitoring also there he has less latency, and after recording he drags it to the track which is routed to VOX1 where processing more similar to final mix

I think you really need to focus on volume matching your vocals with the clips of the engineers(most likely turn the music clips down and you up) cause I'm always turning it up when you're talking and down when they are.

After this tracking/recording stage, how do i go about to send this off to the mixing stage. Do i export this project into stems and open up a new project to start the mixing process ? Or do i mix within the same project ?
I would probably just make a copy of the original project then work off that as a mixing session.

Is clip gaining the beat down like using the gain plugin on Logic Pro? I don’t use pro tools
You have to open the inspector in the top right corner and find the gain parameter. From there it will let you clip gain down the beat
unique? bruh that looks like my template... i even got a seperate group for beats when i make... so everthing in one template 💯💯💯

You just create a group of the tracks and inserts you want copied. I’m sure there’s a way to do it I just don’t know specially how to on logic. Im sure you can just watch a video on grouping in logic

You make a group then go to attributes and check control for which ever insert slot your autotune is on.

Yes I actually had the idea of that. I will say tho he uses a lot of different techniques and outboard. So I might just talk about some specific techniques he uses

i cant hear anything in the session and my playback engine is my interface
check to see if you own the plugins. Usually if you dont own a plugin or its lisense is expired it will mute the audio

opinion.. not facts... its plenty of hit records out there recorded with no type of analog gear bc the engineer is top tier.. u just need to know what you're doing. now mics and a preamp (audio interface), to ur point, are somewhat important but u dont need SUPER GOOD stuff, just basic with SUPER GOOD knowledge of what you're doing

What's the difference between a recording template and a mixing template?
recording template is used strictly for recording. After recording , the tracks in the recording template are imported into a mixing template. The mixing template contains usually a diff vox chain etc because you dont have to worry about latency like in a recording template

@@georgetmusic does the plugins that u use to record in the recording template get printed to the sound before being mixed? Or is it just used to make the singer feel comfortable and sound better while recording?
@@omohellabandz7569 either or. It depends on the engineer and their mindset. For me, I do the second option where I monitor through plugins in a vocal chain to help get a picture of what the vocals sound like in context to the song while also having the flexibility to make changes. Anything you print onto a track can’t be undone unless you want to start back at Step 1, which isn’t a good thing. I made that mistake with Autotune and it’s something I regret to this day. Only print if you feel 1000% confident on the sound. For me, I like to have that flexibility and have a blank canvas where I’m in control of how the vocal sounds where I can always undo changes without the artist doing the take all over again.

Why he uses delay sends when he has delay throw already ?
He uses a throw so he can copy down a single word and put delay on it. This is way easier then automating a delay send

How is it important to note that his mixing and recording process are TWO different things like they aren’t two different things altogether you have no idea what you’re talking about
For Bainz those two processes are very different. I am saying that in that sense that none of the processing and FX Bainz uses during the recording stage will the used in the mixing stage. In the mixing stage he does cleaning with rx/clipfx, uses more latent plugins, and analog hardware.

You may be thinking of his newer template that is focused on working w carbon and is featured in the avid video

Id be a poor fit since ive no interest in learning music. i stopped for the 1st pics my eyes fell on. photographs which dont move nor sound. im a pen & paper to cloth or other surface artishand. ive never been a threat to any musician or filmaker unless they got a new from my phone. in which case theyre too young to replace us at 31 after begging the booter get them on tour. too many get it wrong. be glad you have reason & occasion. i wash my hands of all ive passed. wrong team who i saw last in 1997
