My god, these are QUALITY. Underrated tutorial, every mark is hit: Countdown for the ad read right up front, no time wasting repeating what the title already says, jumping right into it showing us what to expect, and very clear and concise tutorial. Dude, you absolutely nailed it.

I don't even use After Effects, nor do I need this right now. But the amount of effort and care put into your content is so high that I NEED to leave a thumbs up and a comment. Perhaps, after watching more of the video, I'll even leave a sub.
    Keep up the good work!

Broken, thanks for this tutorial - finally a video that goes into immense detail - jam packed with good information, without all of the extra intro nonsense that other videos have. I was watching another video recently and it took 10 minutes to get to the point, while yours has me in the deepest parts of the ocean by then. Appreciate you uploading this!

Awesome tutorial. Near damn perfection explanation. I have an issue tho. I work with the 2022 version of AE where (when working in 3D space) there is a big sphere used to position the X,Y and Z position in front of the anchorpoint tool. The problem with this is that my pan behind tool can't snap to the borders of the cube plains. Is there a work around or a way to switch to the old layout of the 3D interface?

I'm not quite sure, but I would suggest you to try turning on the Snapping option which is located at the top middle part of the UI and check to see if the anchor point is snapping. Additionally, google if there is a way to disable the gizmo under the preferences maybe.

I had the same dumb problem. Scoured reddit to no avail. I know you asked this a month ago, but for anyone else looking for this solution... I was luckily able to figure it out quickly (took me 5 minutes) through trial and error. If you use the selection tool (V) and double click the square side you're working on, it puts you into a 2D view of it. You can then move the anchor point from here, but make sure you reactivated the panning tool (Y). For some reason, you don't even need to hold command to make it snap in this view, or at least I don't. It snaps pretty easy from here. Then at the top switch back to the 3D view and you can repeat this for each side. If this helps anyone, like this comment.
