    One trick to easily offset layers, especially when you have A LOT of layers, is to cut them the length you want them to be offset, then select all, keyframe assistant> sequence layers. Then, you just need to stretch the layers back to full length.

    Great video! As an alternative to the sine expression, you can use loopOut("pingpong") with just two keyframes with a 33.3% easing. The result is the same, and I find it much more intuitive to tweak the values this way

      For sure, there’s always different ways that’s what I love. In this instance I just wanted to show what it’s capable of with no keyframes too!

    When you workd with gradients and glows and all that, how do you avoid banding and such, when rendering?

      You can add a subtle noise effect to help with this!

    • @S3llies
      @S3llies Місяць тому

      You can change. your project to 16bit instead of 8bit. and/or add a Noise effect (on 1%)

    How did you "stick" the wave shape to the sphere please?

    • @motionbyscott

      You will need to parent it to the layer with the pick whip or drop-down selection!

      I have a tutorial on my channel for creating a faux 3D effect. This was done by manipulating shape paths. Hope that helps.

    Motion array appears to make you subscribe in order to have permission to use the plugin on an ongoing basis. I'd be ok to buy it--but not to pay $300 a year.
