Super clever! I never thought of this. I just tried it, but doesn’t seem like there is a way to get the camera to stop if you want it to. Personally I like having control, but this is a really smart technique… thanks for sharing!
You absolutly can do that, however in my experiences you are going to get a sharp break in the curve which therefore will create a jarring animation. Furthermore, imagine you change the camera's endpoint before the drift, then you have to really mess with the curves again to get it just right. There is no right or wrong answer, do what works for you! 🙌

Камеру надо положить в ноль и такая система используется для мягкого обратного движения, когда камера двигается например вперед, а ноль в которой она лежит, начинает плавное движение назад. А то что показано, спокойно и так делается одной кривой. Камеру ещё вешают на circle и меняют радиус для изменения дистанции и поворота.
How about using the track after: continue on the last keyframe and slightly tilting the handle of that last keyframe

I usually set the first keyframe of the drift null to the very first frame so you know you're not getting the studder. Same thing in AE.

Камеру надо положить в ноль и такая система используется для мягкого обратного движения, когда камера двигается например вперед, а ноль в которой она лежит, начинает плавное движение назад. А то что показано, спокойно и так делается одной кривой.
