Mercedes W210 Comand Bluetooth Auxiliary Audio

- The Comand 2.0 system offered in the Mercedes-Benz W210 is actually a fairly modern radio and has an Aux audio source input which allows any device that has a 3.5MM jack to plug into it. From the factory the input is located in the glove box and is easily accessed through the comand menus. Retrofitting a bluetooth aux streamer is fairly simple and only requires running power, otherwise it is a complete plug and play solution. The benefits of this particular product is that it will give you bluetooth aux, connect to your device when the car starts, and has a microphone which will allow for phone calls. The down sides are is that there is 0 control offered through the radio or the steering wheel controls, and no meta data visible from the head unit or the instrument cluster. As of currently this is the best solution to bringing bluetooth to you Mercedes W210 that has Comand. All the parts used are readily available and cheap. I think the toal cost I spent to do this was less than $50. Links to everything I used are linked below. Just installed yesterday that 5v 12v converter for my Bluetooth power behind the glove box. Used the light switch for power. I was using cigar lighter manually plugging in before. It got annoying Thanks for info. Great mod on my 210 daily

@@matt7iron Do you have COMAND, CD changer? My 1999 s210 facelift has the jack.
@@sbmateev i brought the car without a CD changer but there are wires in the trunk to hook one up, can i run some sort of bluetooth from there, i dont know what Comand is, i have to look it up.
@@matt7iron COMAND is the big navigation with the screen. I think AUX comes with the COMAND. Search "w210 COMAND NAVI" should come up.
@The Honest Blackman if your car did not come with Comand Navigation from factory it will not have the auxiliary port in the glove box.
I have the same car and radio, but since new battery it hasn't turned on. Car sat for 9months.. any advice is greatly appreciated..

How hard would it be to swap out a stock w210 cassette radio to the one you have in this video?
It’s pretty involved. I have never done it but I’ve seen a couple people do it but it seems like the head unit doesn’t properly interface with the amp so the speaker quality goes down.
Damn if i only had the command navi and not the base version in my 02 e320 im forced to use a fm transmitter or go aftermarket which id hate to ruin such a nice untouched interior
