I worked for UA Theaters the weekend Twister opened. My manager created a disaster scene in the lobby of our location, the local star meteorologist did his broadcast from the lobby that night, the staff were dressed in American Red Cross safety vests and hard hats, and TONS of people. I had never seen crowds that big. Thank goodness I was in box office. I was spared the horror of concession.
If you are done shitting on Bill Paxton’s acting chops you gotta include True Lies. That scene where Arnold makes him piss his pants not once, but TWICE, took some real acting chops on Paxton’s part.
Regarding the idea at 49:58 to "put an alien in your tornado", we can say that Spielberg _almost_ did that in War of the Worlds, where aliens arrived through lightnings during a storm!
I saw this movie at the Drive-in Theatre. I kid not, in the middle of the film, a hailstorm broke out while we were in the car. Will never forget this.
I just wanted to say I love your podcast. I've only listened to 2 podcasts full playlists (I usually get bored of them before I can make it to the end) and the other pod I finished was Dead Eyes, which I heard about from your podcast. Your playlist I've made it through twice. Fun and interesting topic, and a great dynamic I just haven't gotten tired of and can't see that I ever would. Keep em coming please! Clint!

Hey I finally get to see one
10:45 - Everyone missed the reference to "Ain't Nobody got Time for That" woman. But I see you, Clint.

It’s been that way for maybe the last ten episodes or so?

Living in tornado alley... the ask isn't that there were 5 tornadoes in a 24 hour period, but that they had enough time to get from one to another.
