Darth Vader and Stormtrooper Audio TUTORIAL in Audacity

Ever want to make your voice sound like Darth Vader or a Stormtrooper, brickfilm or otherwise? Here's how I do it in audacity.

for some reason I dont have the equalisation effect. is there a possible alternative if it helps i'm using windows 10
edit: i did research and equalisation was replace with filter curve, is there another way to apply the setting that you used without drawing the lines etc, like maybe you type in certain numbers into some respective boxes?

Andrew films I don't use WMM, but I imagine you just drag the audio file and drop it into place on the timeline.

Audacity changed in the last half decade or so. If you look in the middle of that panel there should be an option for Curves and EQ something, one of those should be it.

this was an excellent tutorial! :D I was wondering what microphone you used? i have a blue yeti but it picks up everything, what are your recomendations for a microphone? I was looking at the audio technica (for about $100) so I was wondering if I should get that over my yeti?

Thanks! When I made this video a year and a half ago I was probably rocking a Guitar Hero USB mic, but since then I upgraded to a Blue Snowball and eventually a Yeti. I don't really have any experience or knowledge on the Technica, so I can't really say.

In the years since this video was made Audacity replaced it with two effects, their names are something to the extend of EQ Curve and something else, but they do the same thing.

A joker voice you really can't edit from a regular voice, you just need to do it from talent.

+TheLegoproduc Try and do a raspy voice but with lots of excitement, like when people shout OH MY GOD OH MY GOD! when they get a present they always wanted. Try and make your voice high pitched. If you cant make it high pitched in real life record the lines on audacity and click "Change pitch" and move the bar to the right and preview
