- Jessica Kemejuk-actress, spiritual seeker, and new Baha’i-grew up in Los Angeles, where she suffered from bullying and racism because of her mixed-race, half-Japanese and half-Russian ethnicity. In a journey to find someplace where she would be accepted for her whole self, she encountered and tried on many spiritual modalities, until she met a Baha'i. Then, she says, for her the Baha'i writings and prayers “resonated in this place that only truth does.” She witnessed the vibrancy, honesty and clarity of the Baha'i community, and decided to become a follower of Baha’u’llah. I was born into a Bahai family in the early 60s in Tehran, Iran. Life was not easy growing up as a young Bahai. School years were beyond difficult. It was sad to see so much prejudice, anger and hate from my fellow Iranian schoolmates and teachers. One of the tenets of the Bahai Faith is the elimination of all prejudices. I feel no resentment against those who inflicted beatings, threats and verbal abuse towards me and pray that they may try to love one another and independently investigate the Bahai Faith. Then, if it doesn’t work, we can always go back to our old ways.

If you knew Christ, you would never leave Him for a false religion. How can all the major religions be true? They totally contradict each other. The Bahai religion stems from Islam and I wonder why the educational materials of the faith try to hide that fact?

@@mbrunnen04 Not so. The Acts 17 apologetics channel goes into great detail examining both the Koran and the Bible, and comparing and contrasting them. There are huge differences between the two.

In my understanding, god does not discriminate. He helps all and everyone regardless of their actions, regardless of their intentions, good or bad. We humans judge and discriminate between right and wrong, good and bad. Right and wrong, good and bad is perception that we humans experience. They do not exist in god's kingdom.

Siddharth do they also accept Sri Ram & Sri Krishna as the divine prophet as I had heard about them so.Is it allowed for a follower of Baha'i faith to retain culture, dance, tradition, festival of his/ her previous religion specially when it is native for them.Like Holi,Deewali, Manipuri dance etc.
Yes bahais believe in all the prophets as manifestations of God and do not follow any specific rituals but istead tend to consider prayer as a source of spiritual success. Moreover dance and music is allowed ij bahai faith as it is considered as a source of satisfaction

Jessica truly touched my HEART. I could relate to her because I am a Baha'i too. And know of our daily struggles to remain firm and steadfast in God's Love and not allow any other love supercede God's Love. Bravo to Jessica!!!

That was beautiful. From the perspective of Quantum Medicine which I practice Baha'u'llah's writing I believe makes sense . The human heart has a frequency that extends far and wide. The term used is co herence . When we are in heart coherence we can put out love and healthy frequencies. A good place to hold God's love.

There is a lot of aspects to being a Baha’i, but there is no pressure to do everything. Each person gets to share their best gifts. Mine are art and prayer. Others are leadership of a group or community service. None should feel pressured to do more than they can, because you have a lifetime. I made my own initiative and proved to myself the truth of all my learning. Prayer opens your heart, and these prayers are the greatest poetic expression on earth.

All religions are a form of animal worship. The moment we have made a doctrine, we have named God, like naming an animal.
God has always been around way before religion. Man cannot name God. Only God can name man. Religion is for people who are are wicked and need to suffer until they find out why they have their religion. Prophets must be challenged. We must stand up to them and overcome them. Same with gurus and anyone else who is trying to mediate between us and the One who cannot be named.

My brother is a bahai and has been one for over 40 years. It's a very complicated religion. But they do have some admirable beliefs.

Baha'is believe in Christ, and all the other main religions and that they all come from the same Source but at different times according to the needs of society. Like chapters of a book that builds on itself. By denouncing something just because it's new or sounds strange you are doing the same thing the Jews did to Jesus because at one point He was new and strange and didn't fit in with their traditions. Jesus said he will come again with a different name. Open your minds and at least investigate independently for the truth.

Amazing Speaker. Think of all people who will discover this wonderful Faith, its discovery how it would feel to them. I was born into a Baha'i family and still amazed to its unification of mankind and implications of its teachings not only to my life but to Humanity collectively.

Bahai’s believe in all religions as one and that they all learn for the same source being God. Im agnostic and have an open mind in all religions so it doesnt mean i ignore the teachings of christ. In my opinion there is no right or wrong, why not learn about all the religions. At the end of the day we’re all human and all the same no matter what background, race, beliefs we have. In another thousand years, there will be another new religious message that is said to be more perfectly delivered by a charismatic man who professes to be the new Prophet. Throughout history, no matter how deep human beliefs are today, in time they will change again and be passed on to the next generation and then lost and forgotten.

I also believe in loving all of humanity and that must include our LGBT brothers and sisters. We all have a right to choose the one we love and form a family. Fortunately, the legal prohibitions are gone in our nation on interracial marriage. Up into 1967, that was not the case.
