  • Baha'i Fashion Designer Melody Ehsani finds herself at a deep spiritual crossroads-should she follow her family’s expectations, or her heart? How can she discover her real purpose? She pleads with God to show her a way to understand her own spirit-not just the bright prospects of some prescribed role. She learns to meditate, and finds a way to put questions to her higher self. That spiritual practice, along with the Baha'i Faith's teachings, gives her the confidence to question everything and take her own path.

Melody, I particulary appreciated when you briefly spoke to "mirroring" as I feel this is such a key element of a healthy nurturing practice and, sadly, most parents seem to be ignorant of this---all in all quite compelling---thank you

I am floored. I have been walking around these ideas for so long getting in my own way. This cleared so much up. Thank you.

Definitely , everything she said is true. Our inner spirit, is our God... the God within us. Our inner voice is what we have to adhere to.

Mirroring refers to attempting to reflect the way of God's Oneness here on Earth as physical human creatures.

Beth McAvoy I think mirroring is when you see someone as they are. I especially feel when it when I am seen by another person, valued and known exactly as I am. You know it when it happens because it feels so incredible and surprising. It’s actually a very rare and special experience. I pray that you experience it and that you are also able to provide that for others. There’s a video from 2005/2015 of a talk by Julie Burns Walker that you may like.
