Hey VR Grid, developers here! We just wanted to pop by and say thank you for your review, and all the feedback you provided. We're currently working on a PS VR2 patch that will address some of the friction points you ran into, and we're hoping this improves the gameplay experience for our users. We're really proud of our story and voice acting, the team did amazing work there, and we really appreciate the kind words! It's nice to see that you’re enjoying the PS VR2 haptics and gestures. All the best, The Archiact Team
Glad to hear the story is good. The rest of the issues are probably due to the game mainly targeting Quest 2 user base as primary and not specifically being worked to take full advantage of higher fidelity possibilities of PSVR2 or PCVR or even Quest 3. Not a deal breaker for me because I am interested in this for a decent VR immersive sci-fi action adventure with good writing / acting.
I'm looking for an actual story to play on vr, so due to the lack of games with actual narrative adventure, I'll take the risk. At least it doesn't sound like there are game breaking issues.
@VRGRID before your eyes doesn't count? Blink if you say no 😂. I'd also say moss, pixel ripped, dyschronia, behind the frame, tale of onogoro, fisherman's tale with another sequel, red matter 2, last labyrinth and I feel startenders and ruinsmagus count.
Thanks for this review. Disappointing but was half expecting it when they released images of what the game would look like. I had the same feeling when they released gameplay footage of Ghostbusters.
Great review ryan...looking forward to you both doing live shows again...i feel thats where your at your best...psvr2 is being seriously hampered by the quest 2 being the quest 2,hopefully soon the q3 will become the baseline and rising tides and all that
I think I had a glitch in my blaster. No matter what upgrade I used, nothing changed about it. I didn't get that nifty square over it. Or anything. I went through the entire game swapping out these mods but had no idea what they did or how they changed my gun.
after the first quarter of the year , it's been a string of disappointments for VR --I really hope it gets better but I know at this point , my psvr 2 has been only for resident evil ...
There’s been more wins over the year than misses. Some people definitely fixate on misses and besides misses don’t matter when there’s already so much decent stuff in the library. I recommend stuff like Walkabout Golf, the Red Matter releases, Switchback, Hubris, Pavlov.
Mine has been for RE Village, Saints & Sinners, Red Matter2, Ghost Signal, Gran Turismo 7, Pavlov, Crossfire Sierra Squad, Hellsweeper (still plays great) and recently Propagation Paradise Hotel. 😅
Sure there's some great stuff for PSVR 2, but I think many thought Sony would be backing the headset a lot more than they have. It's the lack of AAA-like games that have released or are coming that's giving the negative buzz. We know what the headset is capable of and we are rarely seeing it used to it's full potential and the longer that goes on for, the more negative press will keep coming.
The first 2 chapters where terrible .... and then my quest 2 battery died ... i would be mad already if i had to paid for this game XD it's one of them games, where your companions always find a faster way, while there clearly is none :D like in the second chapter, where i have to find and power up a shuttle to find my way to exactly that spot where my companion just came down with a rope like 3 minutes ago :D just for her to NOT follow me and teleport straight to a hostige situation with the enemies .... and i can't even shoot those guys, while my companion even tells me to do so .... This game is legit sooo booring i can't even realy describe it... also the gunplay kinda sucks, can't even propper reload my gun :( ... not worth 40$ for sure!!!!
It's super woke. Almost every leadership character is a woman and/or diverse and/or a lesbian. The leader of the pirates goes by they/them. The sub leader of the Zov Ardent goes by xe/xer smh. It's super cringy and stands out like a sore thumb. The story is ok although I didn't find myself emotionally invested in any of the supporting characters. Choices you make can have an effect on the story and how supporting characters react to you, but even if you choose a certain path, generally the story pushes you down the pre designated path. If you make one key decision wrong, like not killing a certain person, you may be forced to kill another and ruin your immersion. Climbing is glitchy and doesn't hold a candle to Horizons. Graphics are serviceable at best. Interactivity is one of the best on PSVR2 up there with Red Matter IMO. Enemy types are limited. It forces you to be as cheap as possible and hide behind boxes as you kill bullet sponge enemies. Despite the negatives, it was nice playing a story driven game where your actions did have some weight to the plot...although I was surprised by a glitch in the game where I ended up contacting the person I had just killed to come rescue me. Good, but not great. Some serious issues hold it back from being playing it more than once or twice
@@SC0RPI0NFURY I've played RE4 before. In fact, Village is basically a worse 4. Also, there's no date on RE4 releasing. You assume December but they said Winter so that could be February before it comes out -- and I'm sorry but a 600 dollar peripheral for one game? That's not the value I signed up for on launch.
@@JBBost You havn't played the official RE4 Remake in VR though, so hyped for that game. $600 for one game? Sony has released 3x triple A VR titles and 2x AA VR titles + updated No Man's Sky to be the best version on any platform. All this in only 7 months since release of the PS VR2. We are only in the beginning of this generation of VR. The PS VR2 will be supported the next 5 years at least with lots of more triple A VR titles coming out over the next years. Btw it is confirmed on the official Playstation blog that RE4 VR will release later this year in 2023, so either november or december

Same, exactly what I was thinking haha
I never encountered any, it's definitely fully realized and in depth story

solid review, I feel very similar

Ryan, saving me $ yet again. Thanks man!
Thanks for the review 🍻
Hey another reviewer described this as having only 5% action would you agree?
5 seems a little low, maybe 10? Not a lot of combat, but the combat isn't great anyways
Awesome, even in space you gotta throw up the right gang signs
Thanks for the review, another miss on PSVR2
Not the mass effect we were looking for
How long does it take to complete?
6 to 8 hours
@@VRGRID thanks
Might be time to start skipping on the games that devs target for Quest mobile graphics. 🤦🏻♂️
Really hoping this is worth 40 bucks
luckely you can just sideload this games for free to your quest XD
Really!?
@@VRGRID yep :) roockie sideloader , get every game with 1 click XD
Mixed feelings with this game. Buyer beware, not terrible but curb your expectations.
Is there reprojection here?
I think so
