These same people will clown actual black people about their hair though. I’ve seen videos of asians laughing at black women and girl’s hair..or touching it without permission, or even insinuating that their hair is real but not the black girl’s. I’m so sick of everything everyone thinks they can clown us for being a trend for those same people down the line. So many people hate on black folk, it makes absolutely no sense. This is why if I’m going to get hair extensions, I’m getting what looks like my texture. 4c hair is so beautiful and majestic.

I noticed that there were Asian people getting cornrows, locs, and box braids a couple of years so I’m not surprised that they are trying to get 4c hair now. I have long thick 4a natural hair and I’m not ok with non black people copying black hair styles because I remember being bullied for wearing cornrows and box braids. I know I said this before but I will say it again. When I did my big chop, I was called bald headed and compared to Side Show Bob. People use to laugh at me and I got a lot of stares. That drove me to grow my hair long. I was also denied jobs for wearing my afro, faux locs, and box braids to job interviews. I had to wear wigs and slick down my hair into a bun to get a job. It took me years to learn to love my hair because I was told it was unprofessional and it wasn’t beautiful because it wasn’t straight. I just started wearing my hair down at my current job but I also work from home now. They literally had to pass a Crown Act against black hair discrimination. So yeah I know some people may not care but personally I do based off of my experience. Also I remember people calling black women ghetto for wearing bonnets. Now I’m seeing white women wearing bonnets.

I remember being in sephora with a former friend after work. She wanted to fix her makeup with the samples….? I digress, I had a 4c afro wig and was bare faced…2 asian women around my age came up to me to tell me how pretty I am. Many of them really admire our beauty (even other nonblacks), but they may not vocalize it because they have a superiority complex. They also think acknowledging our obvious beauty, influence, culture, etc would take away from them. We’re REALLY top tier.🤷🏾‍♀️✨💕
And of course I’ve had many Asian women (and other nonblack women) give me a hard time because I’m beautiful. They can’t handle our beauty so they use reverse psychology.

The saddest part is that BW dont even own the rights to out own culture, and because most beauty supply stores are ran by Asians, they will most likely benefit from these trends. I do agree that this seems a little Black fishy; however, I am interested to see how BM will respond. Afterall, they do like " natural women", and this is by no means natural! Will they remain clear and unbias with those standards, will they play right into the hands of this Black fishing scheme, or will they make exceptions for other cultures as they have done for centuries? Stay tuned 😂

Okay hold up. These are not Asian Americans. These are people in and of Japan and South Korea. Those cultures have ALL KINDS of fashion fads. It's like, their thing. Here's a New York Times video from 5 years ago about Japanese Chicano culture in Japan. ua-cam.com/video/r8bMLcCxxAA/v-deo.html You're right - imitation is the most sincere form of flattery. And IF there were Black owned hair salons in Tokyo I would hope these Japanese people would patronize those hair salons when they go to get a 4C hair perm. Because you're right, Black people should get compensation when others take on styles Black people invented or features that are immutable to Black people. But I just don't think there are very many Black owned hair salons in Tokyo. So I don't even know how that give-back would work.

Whether we are being disdained or bullied for our curly kinky hair, regardless, we need to own it and love it. Are we then not being hypocritical of other races copying what ever hairstyles we adorn ourselves. With millions of black women around the world wearing wigs that doesn't look like it comes from their scalp, are we not alternately appropriating Asian and European hair type and style. Not just appropriating but literally wearing their cast off hair.

I dont understand you people. You dont like them wearing our hair styles, so why are there so many BW wearing wigs etc. Love you hair first and stop wearing their style of hair if you hate what they are doing. Instead of hating on them embrace the fact that they are doing it and use them to promote it and start wearing it yourself. I see way more BW with wigs etc. then their natural hair. This is a opportunity to take advantage of the situation. We all know they can't claim it, like people claim most of our stuff, we all know they be hatin. Stop hatin them back and uplift yourself. The hate we get let us know how beautiful we truly are, so be beautiful and shine that beauty. If they hate more, shine brighter and show love. They will hate you more for it and you will just shine brighter.

@@CoffeeCuties777 I am reacting on a video where you put shade on asians with 4c hair. So where is the love for 4c hair? You can not embrace the fact they like the hair. Instead of telling BW to embrace their beautiful hair because even asians want them, you rather decide to bash the asians. The perfect opportunity to uplift 4c but you rather spread hate. If non black people want to wear our hair styles uplift them, make it popular even if we don't get the credit for it. So it will be shown on tv and seen as beautyfull and more bw will accept and love their hair. We know they have bin stealing our BW features and demonize them for it.
They can fake all they want if YOU stand before them they SEE the truth, that's why the hate.
Dont give yourself to that bad energy.
No hate just love, just trying to uplift.

@@DodoGadget why would we want something that belongs to us to be credited to people that are not black? This has happened to us since the beginning of time where we create ideas and never get the credit we deserve. I have no issue with them embracing our her type but I will have an issue with them receiving the credit for something we originated…goes back to what I stated they were ant our rhythm not our blues…black women had to deal with hair discrimination for decades to get to this point so we deserve the credit for creating space for type 4 hair to be praised….I have to ask are you black?

@@CoffeeCuties777 You have 4c on your head, you are born that way, you are the origin and there is no debating that.
Like you said it happened to us since the beginning of time and nothing changed they are still doing it. Not only BW, BW and BM got discriminated against because of their hair. If you don't care what the world thinks, why create space for 4c hair.
Did you ever go overseas? Do you know how many bw do not wear their natural hair. Is that because they care how others view us? Is that because it has been seen as ugly not classy? You think that I don't understand you, but i do. I understand it is not fair. I am just saying there is a better way to push US and uplift US.
If this was not on UA-cam i could explain everything to you.

Nobody cares whether or not it looks good on them or not! Who cares?!?! The bigger issue is how are they repping natural black hair and appreciating its appearance when we(black people) seem to be the biggest haters of the way our hair grows out of our heads????

This makes no sense to me. Why would asian people, especially women, would want to change their beautiful type 1 hair to 4c hair? If i had had like theirs id be so happy.

And actually African American Women are not the influence ones who have them wearing it....Papua New Guinea and two more Island in the South Pacific Men and Women whom also have natural Afro hair . Actually embraces it more and wear their like the people in this video slide.....and this is where that particular style comes from...South Pacific Asians....There a world of Black people besides us. Even Black people with straight hair which is also where a majority of your hair comes from.

Not defending them at all but there’s a difference between Asian American vs native Asian in Asia. Also that group is a sub culture, they usually not in the main trend or standard of beauty. Search Japan dancehall. They just see something that they like
