- Hello everyone! I’m Ryusei.
Today I introduced how to make Teriyaki chicken.
I taught everything what I know.
1.Put pressure on the chicken to sear the skin side even and browned.
To coat the chicken with Teriyaki sauce easily.
2.Once Teriyaki is done, remove it from the pan.
Because the water comes out from the chicken and it prevent Teriyaki sauce from becoming thick and sticky.
Above 2points are very important.
Please try Teriyaki chicken out and enjoy it.

Without SAKE and MIRIN. Use GINGER ALE as a substitute for this Teriyaki.

I liked that you added the sugar separately from the sauce. That seems smart as putting sugar in with the others ingredients in a bowl…the sugar mostly stays at the bottom of the bowl instead of the pan. I will do this from now on.
Exactly.I’m glad that you watch my video carefully.
Thank you for watching and comment today too.
Beautiful recipe❤
Scooping it out with the rest of the sauce by a silicone spatula is against your religion or something?
@@crisgriffin3042 You want to slice with it swimming in the sauce? What he did is logical, slice it first then pour over it the sauce. Think!

I just made this tonight. By far the best Teriyaki I have made in about 15 years of trying to get it right. Easy instructions and directions. So simple and perfect. For the weight I just used a foil covered brick. It was perfect.
Thank you for your watching! I’m very happy you enjoyed teriyaki. And your comment encouraged me so much. Thanks a lot.
Hello my friend. Very nice of you to speak English and try to present your gorgeous country's food for us foreigners! Will definitely follow and try out your recipes. Thank you from Greece!
Hello my friend! Thank you for watching and your message from Greece makes me happy😊Speaking English to the world is my big challenge. Yes,please try it!!
Arigato(Thank you)!!
It's always cool to learn about different approaces to cooking and food from other cultures. Great video!
Thank you so much😊 I started this channel to tell Japanese culture to the world. So your comment makes me very very happy!! Thank you!
what ? its just fried chicken. sticks are the main difference, but the principles are universal
Just made it tonight. I bought the real sake, mirin and soy sauce inproted from Japan. As most of the ones you grt in the uk are zero alcohol but added sugar.
The sauce tastes completely different. Its much more sharper and umami, than the incredibly sweet stuff you get premade.
I also cooked my purple sprouting broccoli in the chicken fat once I had removed the chicken. Lovely!
Thank you for making and buying sauce ingredients.
Yes. Actually in Japan zero alcohol mirin is sold.
Nice! Purple sprouting broccoli is definitely tasty too.😊
I love to add a little fine chopped garlic and ginger to the teriyaki sauce... roast before adding the liquid ingredients. Some sesame seeds add even more flavor. I really like how the chicken was initially prepared without oil or other fats... will try that for sure! Thank you for the video.
Thank you for teaching me!
Finely chopped garlic and ginger stimulate our appetite so much😊
Thank you!! Please try it!
Right on

Yep, I will demand some ginger and garlic with mine, and maybe replace a little bit of the sake with balsamic vinegar.
That sounds good, but I would also add onion, and caramalize the onion, so onion is not pungent.
I love how put so much attention to the details of the process and explained every "trick" you used. Even though I knew how to make teriyaki chicken, I learned something new from this video.
Thank you for watching and your comment. I’m happy my video is helpful for you😊

A small tip for your own safety:
Your cutting board moves a lot when you use it.
If you put a small towel you use for drying dishes or a small, slightly wet cleaning cloth under your board, it will not move!!
Thank you for your advice. I will definitely do that😊
Awesome videos!
Looks delicious 😋
