That detour took you to Fall Creek. It is one of two creeks that empty into Netarts Bay. The second one is Whiskey Creek and is located just south of where your previous crab snaring video took place with Billy. The amount of fresh water that these two bring to Netarts is negligible. As Billy was saying... The bay stays very salty and clean even when neighboring bays are blown out during heavy rainfall. It's getting close to the time when many females will have that large apron at the bottom filled with bright orange eggs. The number of males reappearing in the bays is finally starting to increase - largely driven by their instinct to do their job in making the eggs turn into future crabs 🤣 Great video. Thanks for helping to shine a light on crab snaring!

I need get out there and catch some crab. Congrats to the winner. !!
Where can I source a couple of these snares? I'm in bc canada.
There is a link in the description, also a coupon code, but I don't know if the code is still valid. They work great! Thanks for watching!
Before you make that investment, double check your regulations. It's my understanding that crab snares are not legal in many parts of BC.
