WOW!! PK That video was absolutely incredible on Dungy crabbing and crab behavior. If there's a Dungy near your bait.. he'll do anything to get to it and get it, regardless of any competitors.
Reeled up too much slack and pulled the snare away before you yanked. I have thought that this was the case before now. But the video shows it without a doubt. I'm sure it is harder from a kayak too. On shore, I know exactly where that snare is. Also seems like it sat out there for too long. Just my $.02
I’ve been told not to reel in the snare too quick when I feel weight for the same reason that the initial jolt might not let the trap close properly and knock some crabs off
This just got me thinking, if the GoPro has live monitoring you could kinda use it like an underwater fish finder! Amazing to see all the action from the snare! Sorta funny how all that action and it looks like the one you caught was stuck with his claw on the bait cage and not the snare itself! 😅
The signal strength from a go pro is too weak to make it through the water, need a wire connection, a company is making a fishing line with cable in it to connect to a camera so you can get a live feed pretty neat I reckon if they pull it off
I like the videos with the kayak but I really do miss the boat videos I love watching you from start to finish because you always involve the audience being myself I am a woman I'm 68 years old and I would love to come over to the West Coast to Dungeness crab myself, I don't know if I'll get to in this lifetime but I would love to meet you if I ever get over there. I know you love your kayak but I really do wish that you would do some more boat videos and by the way whatever happened with the guy that she used to go out with in the wheelchair?? I really enjoyed your videos with him
PK, that is fascinating! Those guys attack right now! I got a kick out of the little guy the trap slid over and woke up! @ 05:51, lots of ass grabbing!
Too bad we can't see it live when we are crabbing!! You had several in the loops. I now check my snares about every 5 minutes. PK, what is the idea behind the stick??
I cannot begin to tell you how amazingly helpful these are for my snare making! I'm still trying to design one that can have a gopro attach! I just wrapped up making some new snares with design changes stemming from your videos. I'm hoping to get them in the water in the beginning of November. You'll b e the first to know if & when I succeed with the go pro snare.
Dayyuum!!!! That first crab was set on attack mode!! That was awesome!
Pretty neat to see the life come out of the sand.

Whoa!! That was like watching a science fiction monster movie! Great clarity and very interesting video. Thanks PK!
Great to see you Crabbing!! Thank you for Sharing 💞
Thank you for this. Ive spent too much time theory crafting how to improve a crab snare. This is great footage!
A bunch of crabs on the “snare trap”. But they all came off when he reeled them in
Great footage
That's very educational! Thanks for sharing. It seems like you could pull your snare after only one or two minutes. Great footage.
I am sitting here yelling "pull it, pull it, pull iy".

You had a dozen crabs on there and you pulled it up and there was one left -how is this a good thing?

It's hilarious how the crabs just run at it
Very interesting video! Thank you!
Man, talk about Crab City 🦀
Crab’s reminds me of those huge locusts I saw out there crossing the deserts of Texas.
They’re hungry!!! 😊
thanks. this is great information. I will not be buy a snare. You had so much crab to start out with.
Based upon your vid’s, looks like the first pull should be at no more than 3-4 minutes max.
Man you had a monster there too.

Bro set the drag tighter and instead of pulling the rod u need to yank it up
wow he smelled that bait
câu và quay clip hay quá
What reel do you use?
Wow if it was a cage it would’ve caught at least 5
One inefficient method of crabbing.

Darn, loosing a Go Pro!

The stick is to mount the GoPro

I'd love to test it out, Rob. Let me know!
Fail😢
That is not a good trap .better the trap the crabs would enter.
Crazy 😳😳😳
