Awesome video man! Hey few thoughts.. when you visit these places it would be cool to see tours of their facilities like you started to do, or even a quick review of their vehicles. That’s the first Nissan Frontier I’ve seen modded and while I’m not interested in Nissan it would be cool to see those vehicles featured if you have the time to do that. Curious, will you be going to Overland Expo West in May?
Thanks for the feedback! That is a great idea, and I’ll try to incorporate that in the next video 👍 (lift/tires) So far, I am planning to hit up expo west, PNW, and mountain west
Thanks for sharing Edward. I love what you are doing with the jeep. Thanks for showing the diesel heater. I just brought one. Awesome job. Dusty looks amazing.
You need to switch the fuel to yellow for diesel fuel not red. Those 40” on those 44” will have issues. They are not strong enough, just go with 37” and you will be fine. I will be at EJS, hope to see you.
Edward Shin: Question: Does that Roof Rack whistle at highway speeds? I looking for a roof rack for my JLUR, not wanting to drill through the hard top being that we get a lot of rain here in Louisiana. I like the Metal Cloak full body rack system but where it mounts to the cal, will interfere with a snorkel and is a bit bulky
That jeep is looking good! If weight and road vibration issues are of concern regarding the beadlocks you should look into Method Race wheels. The have what's called "bead grip" technology where the inner part of where the bead pops into is ridged which allows it to go down to a PSI that's closer to the single digits. They do weigh a little more than an average aftermarket wheel though but you won't compromise road use quality.
Why 40 and a 4 and 1/2-in lift that's really extreme your center of gravity will be up . And also will that diesel 🤔be able to handle that much weight of the 40-in tires ? I have 38 with 3.5 lift 2018 jku rub and love it 👍
@Edward Shin, Have you taken into account the stress that is going to be applied to the 5-lug stock axles when mounting 40" tires? There is many people who have mounted 40" tires on stock Jeep axles and they've had catastrophic failures with the diff gears, U-joints, and even the spline ends of the axles breaking. Have you considered upgrading to 3/4 or 1-ton (8-lug) axles with the 40s?
Will be doing some additional mods with the 40’s; regearing, chromoly axle shafts, and hopefully not beat up the jeep too much on trails. Will see how it goes, and if it does indeed fail, will see about 1 tons 🙏
@@KrokemOutdoors, One mod you might consider in the meantime is to add a truss along with the Chromoly shafts to the stock axle. @TrailRecon trussed his Wrangler stock axle when he upgraded to 37s. I have seen a lot of Jeep owners truss their axles at 37s. Just a thought to keep you on the trail. 👍🏼😉
If that's a partial rock crawler I give that license plate 1 trip before a rock rips it off. 😉.. looks like you lost the use of the Freedom Panels with that rack?
There’s a metal plate behind it for mounting, so I hope it helps! Yeah, the freedom panels are used for mounting the front end of the rack, but I personally don’t plan on taking off those panels anyways, so it works out
Beautiful Wrangler. Can’t wait to see the rims and tires. Don’t know what you’re getting, but if it was mine, I’d get the Black Rhino rims. But regardless, love that Jeep. Best color of all time.
That was what was available at time of install. I know yellow is the recommended color for diesel, but until it becomes law, I will label these as diesel cans with a fat sharpie all over them
@@KrokemOutdoors don’t, so when they try and steal them, they’ll get diesel instead of gas 🤣🤣 best prank ever on thieves. We do it here in Texas all the time 😀😀😂😂

Thanks Jack! I wonder if having a diesel changes the availability of the long range tanks, since I also have a separate DEF tank that takes up considerable space
@@KrokemOutdoors Edwin, that's a good question. I did check and there is no option currently available for the Eco-Diesel Jeep. Perhaps NATO Spec. Gerry cans would be a better choice than the Rotopax. Given their current location on the Jeep. Cheers, Mate.

Hey brother I've been off the grid for awhile Unlimited adventure overland. You finally did it you got a jeep hahaha ha All that time I've been giving you a hard time about getting a jeep lol
Yes, the roof rack is the full length of the top. For those who prefer to remove the freedom top, there is a shorter version of the rack which allows that option. For me personally, I never felt the need to remove the top, so it works
Can still run 40’s on dana44’s . Depends on how they are wheeled. I do more overlanding than crawling, and don’t plan on bouncing the jeep off of rocks, so it should be okay.
Looks great Edward. Does your Jeep have a heated windshield? I noticed in the video it has a kind of bronze haze to it. I know older Lincolns and some GM mini vans had that same look because they had heated windshields. It's a feature all vehicle should have.

BE CAREFUL. It's my understanding that the fine print in the Jeep warranty for the diesels says if you put anything in front of the grille (like your winch and hoop) you void the engine warranty. Check for yourself, but my guess is you need a front bumper with a sunken winch (good job on that) and NO BULL BAR to retain the engine warranty.
