Always loved watching you blokes on TV.. then on jetstar cos I was too tight to spring for the full entertainment package and there was always a couple of episodes for free on the screen.. and now on the tube. Wish I had 2 more hands

Really, really hope this is a transition from TV to UA-cam as this channel would be very popular with a huge international audience (trust me I’m an expert on watching UA-cam 😀). And normal TV is dead and surely coming to end in the coming years. Fingers crossed it’s financially viable for you to start releasing all your content on here! Love your work guys.

Not wanting to bust ya balls, we got a berty25 fly bridge lockable cabin, control upstairs only (so far) and we put a hull extension on of about 750mm, and intend to put on a pair of yamaha2013, 300hp donks, I think it will be very efficient

    Really looking forward to this.
It would be nice if you could delve a little deeper into the design issues (naval architecture) of adding twin outboards & removing the twin stern drives, similar to what you did with beast one, when adding a pod etc.
Normally the boat would be a 3:1 ratio length to beam, so 25ft to 8ft 4 inches.
When you add a pod you increase overall length altering the designed length to beam ratio, you move the propulsion weight well astern also by the addition of the pod, and this alters the longitudinal centre of gravity.
All of these alterations have the propensity to alter how the boat rides and handles at rest and in motion.
The changes might be for the better or for the worse, and it’s hard to know which ahead of time unless a naval architect is involved and has all the data, weights, buoyancy etc to be able to computer model it.
You can compensate by moving fuel tanks forward and even increasing fuel capacity, but then as you use that fuel the handling characteristics of the vessel alter if the fuel weight is forward of the longitudinal centre of gravity as it needs to be to offset the cantilever aft weight of 2 outboards on a pod.
Without expert help it’s possible to spend a lot of $ on the boat & a truckload more on modifications, and end up with a pig of a boat rather than what you were aiming for.
I thought the 25 Berts were a Raymond C Hunt design originally?
Would be nice if you could get a copy of the original plans and load them into digital form on a computer and pull them into a naval architecture software modelling program & model your proposed alterations, pod, fuel tanks, outboards, add in a pair of Bennet Trim Tabs etc.
To be honest what your doing is a project I’d always wanted to do but never had the $ or expertise to pull it off, so I never did, but always regretted not doing it.
I also once had visions of wanting to similar to a old 22ft Glasscrift Wildcat Hull.
It’s a shame we don’t see more such projects in greater detail.
Looking forward to part 2, from here in WA

Hahahahaha, the fat joke, poor bloke 😅
Also, quite timely to talk about the potential for fire and explosion with petrol inboard engines with what happened in Sydney a few weeks ago.
