Dude to be greeted by the absolute GODS in their fields as an upcoming comic must have been both terrifying and exhilarating... What a group to perform in front of
I don’t understand how people can say Peter Kay is not funny!. He’s absolutely hilarious, this is top quality entertainment at its finest! Now everyone chill out!
The delivery of that Sky + joke was outstanding. Had me in stitches. Good old fashioned light hearted humour. No obscenities and no agendas being pushed, rare these days.
I remember meeting Peter kay in Streets in Ireland, he the same off screen as well. Nice person. I regret not going seeing him , Peter kay is a Superb comedian.
What I love about Peter Kay is he is funny (actually hilarious) and does not need to do it at the expense of other people. I have never seen him put other people down like a lot of 'comedians' these days nor does he find it a necessity to 'push the boundaries' to enlighten and educate the general public about various issues.
Are you serious? Its a clean act without hecklers. That is the only difference. Comedy is based on laughing at life which involves making fun of yourself and others.
"Victorias sandwhich.... bet you've said that a few times before haven't you" Looking at David. 2 minutes in, literally a joke at someone else's expense. I get your point. Peter is hilarious at times but he isn't a saint. Just because you don't understand other peoples humor doesn't mean they are "pushing the boundaries". You can have topical comedy that is very informative, which actually right now with all the lies flying about it actually needed.
This is wonderful. I'm not a massive fan of Peter Kay but what he done is what needed to be done. The last episode should be about Parkinson and to give him a good send off.
Parky didn't want rid of him, and he wasn't unhappy at all. It's just that he has a schedule and wants to do the interview. It becomes apparent after a few minutes that theres no gonna be an interview, so he just sits down, relaxes and lets Peter run with it. It's not a big deal. Kay and Connolly are quite simlar in that respect, they don't stick to interviews like other celebs, they just burst in bull-in-a-china-shop style and write their own scripts. It's genius.
Peter Kay is a genius! The way he does this on interviews means alot because the people who are always next to him don't live in the real world like me you and how peter kay did growing up, i love how he doesn't give a crap what the big shot celebrities think about him when he has a laugh.
Take a look at Billy Connolly during Peter Kay's routine. He's not laughing like Beckham. It's the difference between being an audience to comedy, and being another sharp minded comedian, who is absorbing the energy of a performance and learning from it. Great comedians learn from each other, no matter when or where, but they all have that incredible storytelling ability which captivates audiences as they intersperse their tales with their own brand of humour. This is a fantastic piece of TV all round, because it also proves, once again, that real comedy is not reliant on the constant use of obscenities. Well done to Peter Kay for putting the sketch together. It certainly made for a great section in Michael Parkinson's last show.
@@georgetyrrell1006 actually he's naturally quite shy , he is also has ADHD , he loves other people's humour , if he tells a funny story in his stand up he always accredits it to the origin of the story . Funny is just funny .

My friend lived in the south and was an ameteur comedian, but very good. He moved up north and did a sketch at a local comedy venue. After two minutes he was ushered off the stage. It really knocked him hard and it wasn't until he'd lived there a few years and learnt northern humour that he started doing sketches again. Just like a many Brits don't enjoy most American humour, the same goes for Northern and Southern comedy. It's funny how styles vary and even the best comedians can sometimes struggle when in another region... Has anyone for instance heard of an English speaking German comedian that's funny!...

Mike Best Attenborough was evacuated to the town up the road from me, Earl Shelton in Leicestershire, during WWII. That place doesn’t get any more working class! So he’s a small town lad done good.
