Thanks Jack. For those asking, the product is Mighty Gasket Hi-Temp by Pioneer. Another brand that would be more commonly found is Permatex (Red High Temperature RTV Gasket Maker).
I saw the comment said it is easy to remove the pipe after gasket being applied. But is the dry sealer residue easy to remove over the times? Is it stick too hard on the pipe?
@@6meterkevlar923 usually it affects the back pressure of the exhaust in small degree.. will have after burn pop pop pop sound when u roll off the gas... but not really a big isssue,
exhaust note sounded different (for my case it sounded quieter e.g. during idle & rev), could actually feel the flow of the leaking exhaust gas at the link pipe with my hands
Should only apply to the male side as any excess gets pushed out, the female side excess gets pushed up into the muffler.

Thanks, the clamp on the link pipe should be covering the splines.
So nice to hear "la"... I miss Malaysia & Singapore la
PS. Thanks Jack for doing this video. I know it's an older one so you probably wont see this thank you, but thank you anyway. Well done
You haven't put the exhaust bracket on correctly, the bracket needs to cover the splines on the exhaust.
@bvgb921 exactly such a noob mistake.

It peels right off easily
When in doubt, WD40 and some scotchbrite to buff it off.

No problem at all
It is not epoxy.. it is high heat silicone
@@JackChanSimilanhi, can we use RTV silicone -blue colour high temperature application for sealing the exhaust?
Bro how big is the issue? My exhaust leaks a bit , just a tiny bit. The mechanic told it wouldn't be an issue but I'm concerned.. please tell me.
Dont worry, it is actually not really an big issue.
Ok .. thanks for the reply. How will I know if the leak is creating a problem?? Apart from the engine heating which happens anyway

Itu bukan epoxy. It silicon sealant. I beli daripada ACE hardware. Ataupun mana mana hardware shop mungkin ada
Beli silicone yang tahan suhu panas. High heat. Kalau tidak ia akan cair.
Can you please send the link brother so I can order 1 thanks
I got it from local ACE hardware store.

Yes. It works.

Excessive popping, darkening of surrounding areas, random cough when accelerating, check-engine light all tell tale sign
