Nice video Dave, you're very clear and thorough throughout. I just bought a set of Rinehart slip Ons and the directions said to use High Temp Copper Silicone so I'll do exactly the same thing you did here. Thanks
I've tried Würth exhaust cement and JB Weld and both didn't work properly. Have you noticed any problems with permatex after running the bike for a few hours?
my muffler clamps are loose because of absence of gasket in them, its really scary because of loose clamps both of my exhaust pipes are not only leaking but also shaky .my question is,will this silicone gasket sealer will fix my problem or should i use real gaskets?
try look at a smaller diameter clamp first, if it's loose tightened to Torque specs then, that maybe the first issue. A gasket would be of benefit to help seal the mating surfaces of both the exhaust lip, and header down pipe should there be a difference in pipe diameters. This sealant is worth a try before using a gasket. The metal/copper gasket wont remedy a loose clamp, however.
Whats up Harley Dave! I'm trying your gasket sealer method on my Iron 883. You said to wait 1 hour for torque. How long do you need to wait before actually starting the bike and checking for leaks?
Hi, i have a question, is it bad if the gasket is leaking very small amount of air ? i want to ride my bike for the next two days and im getting new OEM gasket after that, so until then is it ok to ride the bike while there is that small leak or will it damage something :S ? thanks for the video, i will try your fix as well
I don’t have a Harley type moto but this video for sure showed me how to properly use the sealer 🙌 thank you! I give this a Seal 🦭 of a Approval 💯

Excellent tutorial on how to use this copper sealant. Thanks
That’s a nice bike Man. Super clean
hey, cool vid. Did it smoke or burn when running hard?

Is the paste gonna get hard? Will it fuse the pipe to the headers?
For bikes with exhausts that aren’t so clean, use brake cleaner and a shop rag to remove contaminants
what a beautiful bike
How long after the torque can the bike be started? Thanks “Nice Video”
is it bad when bike has a leakage like this?
Do I really need to seal it up?????
Will this product make removing the pipes extremely difficult??
I didn't find it to be any more bothersome.
When I apply the sealant & try to join the pipes together they won’t go all the way in & all the sealant gets pushed out 😩

leonard pezza follow the instructions on your product. I think mine said 12 hours.
Did the sealer work? Any problems?
Crickets... so I guess not?
How do I remove it sir? I applied same method but my exhaust isn't coming out becoz of rtv
Now it's remove or not how you remove it
Twist it harder, be sure you use RTV and not contact cement.

Did you put Gasket sealer from where the muffler meets the bike or only where muffler pieces meet each other?
And I'll go ahead and back up...
Did you reuse the same muffler clamp because I heard they are a one time use
