Its still better to wrap the wires around the screw for better connection.

If it was leaps and bounds safer, then circuit breakers would use the Same method.
Alas, pressure plates are just as effective, long as you torque it down properly.
Wagos are also great, quick items to make junctions , long as you do it right the won't fail.
