Dave, you are crushing UA-cam. Consistent genuine uploads. No extravagant edits, click bait titles, or abstract video ideas. Just pure photography. Love it

I agree with the other comments. Dave is totally crushing it. To add to the discussion, economics and societal pressures and expectations add tons of stress to creatives trying to pull us to being thinking of finances instead of creativity. Thinking of money and paying for things kills creativity and rest. My struggle right there.

Yeah those definitely take a toll on us. I’ve been kept up at night many times worrying about this stuff. And thanks for the kind words!

Some of the photos you captured were well worth getting out alone. This has inspired me to head out tomorrow morning and capture some photos and moments

Stress and burnout are creative killers. I've been fortunate that I've spent most of my life in the creative fields of either graphic design or photography. There have indeed been rewarding moments but, unfortunately, there have also been way too many corporate distractions such as absurd workloads, impractical deadlines and endless, pointless meetings. All of these things turned potentially enjoyable work into stressful nightmares which became soul destroying. Then a year ago I retired. No more work! Now I take pictures every day. Photography is once again my passion but on my own terms. I answer to nobody and it feels great. Now I get up every morning and can't wait to go out with my camera. The stress and anxiety have melted away. The moral here? Even doing something you love can become stressful once it becomes a job and you may end up hating it. Be careful and watch the signs. Oh, and as you said, say no more often!

What a wonderful video! I'm from the other side of the planet, but it's crazy how most of us are struggling with the same things.

That’s kind of funny Dave. I didn’t expect to have a little conviction watching a photography channel today but I absolutely agree with you. Play is rest, so thanks for sharing that. God bless buddy.

Hi body, just wondering, how the M11 hold up to in the rainy condition. I never feel confident to take it out even in the slight rain, but my x100v can handle it like a total champ.

My M11 got rained on multiple times in London two weeks ago and never had an issue. I carried a microfiber cloth in my bag and wiped it off a bunch. I wouldn’t tell anyone to go use it out in the rain, but if you do, you’ll probably be fine.

@@davidherring hi man, thanks for your reply. Obviously I wouldn’t bring my m11 to any potential rainy situation, but it’s good to know that it can handle some minor waterfall with methods of care you provided. If in the future, when the wallet allows, a weather seal test for digital Leica m camera would be nice to see haha.
