I live in the Caribbean and we eat those same fish here. I understand that some of you have NEVER seen a fish like this and many others but,they ARE common here where we grow up and live. The only difference is is that our fishing is regulated so as to not wipe out our food source completely and preserve something for the future. I'm NOT for killing whales and dolphins but,SOME cultures do survive of the species and even THAT is regulated. The same fish you see here might be sold for someone's aquarium for $600 while we're here buying it to eat at $5 a pound or for free if you catch it yourself. ALL creatures are beautiful in their own way,so I guess we shouldn't eat NOTHING then 🤔 There are some beautiful plants out there that I feel shouldn't be eaten also, but ppl are eating them as we speak. That's why we should be THANKFUL for Life, NOT be wasteful of our food and DON'T take it for granted of where it came from.

We you watch shows like " Tanked" and see famous ppl spending $400 to $600 for a fish like this to put in their aquariums, folks tend to think these fish are off limits for consumption. These fish are common where some of us live and are an important resource for us for survival. He same people who are having trouble with this video would come to the Caribbean,eat this same fish at a resort or a hotel for mere pennies and brag to their friends when they go back to their homes. I feel doves,turkeys,squirrels,bears and especially deer to be off limits but, they same people find these creatures to be delicacies and traditional to consume.

they're expensive for aquariums because they're deep-water fish so in order to bring them in alive, you have to bring them up to the surface slowly so they can adjust to the pressure change just like a diver coming up from a deep-water dive. if you bring them up too fast, they die from decompression sickness. hence, expensive alive, cheap af dead.
