Crab cooked in coconut milk with vegetables and crab boiled in water with 7up or sprite and salt are my fave crab dishes. Simple yet very tasty 😋🦀🤤

To those wondering: freezing a crustacean completely has a high chance of killing the animal, as it does with any other creature. However I can state from experience that, when frozen to -70c, a crawfish is capable of being revived after being frozen. Since it was not part of the research there was no recording of brain activity done to determine if or how much brain death was experienced. Nerve response and "instinct" response such as clamping with claws was present. In most cases, icing a crustacean is done to slow nerve responses and avoid accidental claw injuries to humans.
