Another good thing about kiss, they have several different phases they went through in their career. You have the make up phase, the unmasking phase, the disco phase, the concept album phase, the solo albums phase, the different guitarists phases, The different drummers phases, The 70s phase, the late 70s phase, the 80s phase, the pop 80s phase, the grunge phase, The reunion phase, And the tribute band phase when Eric and Tommy put on Ace and Peter’s make up. It’s all worth going through, some more than others. I’m here for it! God bless and Rock on!
03:2705:10 “Who’s that playin’ drums?“ Lol! I love this channel, and I love this guy‘s energy! And I love the fact that he doesn’t even know that’s Eric Singer, the drummer from Black Sabbath, Alice Cooper, Lita Ford, Badlands, Brian May, Gary Moore and KISS! 🤘🏻😁🤘🏻
Truth.....Especially since the reviewer owns a "production company" that claims to be all about music.....He's young though (mid 30's at most) so I'll give him a little break....
Learning as I go fellas! 🤷🏻♂️ Alot of my drumming influences were Mike Portnoy, John Bonham, Vinnie Colaiuta, Dennis Chambers, Neil Peart, etc. I get it though, when you operate a recording studio, there is a certain expectation! Thanks for watching and I love the conversation!
Great song and album. In my opinion, Revenge was one of their best or possibly the best album they ever did. Definitely best from the non-makeup years. My favorites are still the early 70's songs but this is awesome too.
Eric is an absolute MONSTER. I met him when he was in Badlands. Super humble and absolute PRO. Musically, this was the best lineup to me. Bruce Kulick's years in the band are very underappreciated. Dude can play anything!
So glad you’re deep diving this band …my favorite since I was 13 (long long time ago lol) …they are really a fantastic band …Eric singer is the drummer
You've definitely seen the drummer, you just don't recognize him. He's Eric Singer and he became the 2nd Catman. He was with them from 92 to 96 and he returned to KISS in the mid 2000s, and was with them until the end.
That’s Eric Singer on drums. I like Peter Criss, but musically, I gotta say Eric Singer is my favorite KISS drummer. You might like Eric’s drum fills on the Revenge track, “Domino.”

Thanks for the encouragement and I absolutely loved this performance! Eric Singer was beating those drums like they stole something! This tune went hard and they absolutely brought that 🔥🔥
They were on fire during those years. It was the Alive III support tour. I witnessed them for the first time in my life in Argentina, just a few days after that show.
One of my favorite songs from the newer kiss era is spit, I would love to see your take on it…. I joined the kiss army in 78 when the was 7 years old 🤘🏻
From their 1991 album "Revenge" After their drummer Eric Carr's death they replaced him with Eric Singer. Eric played with KISS until the 2 original members Peter Criss & Ace Frehley reunited. They put back on the make up. When Peter Criss left again, Paul & Gene brought Eric Singer back to wear the Catman make up,He stayed till they ended touring last year. The official video for Unholy is great too
If you're digging Eric Singer here you gotta check out the Badlands stuff with Jake E. Lee (Ozzy). There is a Live in California from '89 that kicks butt. Singer was also with Alice Cooper for some time early 2000's touring with both Cooper and Kiss at same time.
Eric Singer is the drummer. He played in a band called badlands. And he also played for Black Sabbath in 85 or 86. He played played peter criss's cat character from 2000 until their retirement this year.
You should watch this same song on Rock the Nation Live from I think around 2002 or so. This video was totally focused on Paul Stanley even though it wasn’t his song.
Eric singer on drums ,bruce kulick on lead. Gene sirta mailed in kind of in the 1980s but in 1992 they got bob ezrin to produce revenge. It was the return if " the demon" with unholy.. eric singer is a machine on drums. Hes played with lita, alice, kiss evrn is catman 2.
Studio version even better!!! Off that Revenge album I like this, the song called Spit! And Domino!! My heart is with the original early albums!! But that Revenge album has those 3 great songs off that album!!!!
I’m a Peter Criss fan for nostalgia sake, but Eric Singer is the best drummer they’ve ever had. The way I see it is without Peter Criss and Ace Frehley there would be no KISS as we know it. Bruce Kulick was a better guitarist than Ace also. This lineup is their best “talent” for sure. Your video reactions to KISS are awesome!
Hey man please react to Rock and Roll All Nite LIVE from 1996-1997 era. The live performances from this era on this song is just amazing. I love being on the KISS train. Keep it going.
Check out Hate, Childhood's End and Seduction Of Innocent from their 1997 album Carnival Of Souls: The Final Sessions. The last album with Bruce Kulick even though he played on 5 songs on the reunion album Psycho Circus. Ace Frehley only played on 3 songs. Did vocals on them as well. Peter Criss sang on 2 and played drums on 1 song. Kevin Valentine recorded the rest of Psycho Circus. Eric Singer and Bruce Kulick left when Kiss got together with the original lineup. Eric Singer was soon brought back to replace Peter Criss and Tommy Thayer replaced Ace Frehley. Bruce Kulick did some solo albums before doing Union with John Corabi. They did the albums Union and The Blue Room plus Live at The Galaxy. Bruce recorded most of the guitars and bass on the Carnivals Of Souls album and he sang on the last song I Walk Alone. Eric Singer or Eric Doyle Mensinger has played with a lot of bands. Did Seventh Star and The Eternal Idol with Black Sabbath, Badlands, The Eric Singer Project, Avantasia, several Kiss recordings after 1992 and 3 Alice Cooper albums (Brutal Planet, The Eyes Of Alice Cooper and Along Came a Spider).
Eric Singer was in Badlands with Jake E. Lee...he later cut all his hair (and dyed it 😅) to replace Peter on the Reunion Tour...and was with them until the End...
Replaced Peter in 2001 on KISS Japanese leg of the Farewell Tour. And would join them again in 2004 for their Rock the Nation Tour, and stayed with KISS until then. Peter was their only drummer throughout the Reunion Tour. Also Singer has always worn a wig since playing with KISS (while with makeup) just throwing that out there.

Various factors prevented me in previous years but this tour in 92 was my 1st KISS concert. Awesome show! The stage set was so cool, especially when the face and arm covering fell away from the Statue Of Liberty and there was a skeleton underneath with laser eyes. During the song "Take It Off" they had strippers come out on stage, which is always nice. Because of my long time work in that industry, it just so happened I knew a couple of them during that show in Chicago. That show was also the only time in my life I've ever been a narc. I don't know why, but even in a crowd of rockers people peg me for a criminal. Between bands I'm sitting in my seat as peaceful as can be when all of a sudden security comes up to me to throw me out for smoking weed. Now, surprisingly, I don't do that. There was no way in hell I was going to get thrown out of my 1st ever KISS concert, especially for something I was innocent of. It just so happened that about 8 rows ahead of me that there were a couple of guys smoking weed who I had noticed before the show even started so I dimed them out in a heartbeat and they got kicked out instead of me and I was able to enjoy the band I've called "my boys" since I was a little kid.
I was gonna suggest something from the revenge album because it is one of the best Kiss records. My next suggestion for something different would be from the MTV unplugged would be Nothing to lose. Chance to see the 80s-90s version plus all original members together
Just subscribed today. I really like your take on things. I have been a kiss fan since 1975. Revenge is their best album. However, the makeup and the big pyrotechnics etcetera is what made Kiss KISS.. I think you're getting the whole picture now. 🤘❤️✌️
Appreciate the sub and thanks for hanging out! Definitely alot to unpack from them but I’ve seen enough now to know they were extremely talented in many different phases of their career!
Hey brother, when did 1994 become an old video? You're making me feel super old and I'm not - I don't think. Just messin around. 30 years ago is a long time. It just doesn't feel like it after it's gone. Thank you for this KISS journey, Steven!! Tbh, I stopped paying much attention after Peter and Ace left. I kinda felt betrayed when the next guys came in and did the same characters. Didn't sit well at all with me. There would've been nothing wrong with them developing their own persona, but...what do I know. This is a banger that I've never heard before. See - Gene again on vocals. When he's singing, the song just hits so much harder. Most of my favs are with him on the mic. And I need to mention that I'm not really sure Paul has been given enough credit for his guitar playing. Maybe it's just me. I hate when people say so and so is "underrated". By who? Anyway, I just wanted to say that I underrated Paul's guitar until you started this journey and I paid more attention. I'm having a blast. Learning new things from the family here. Rockin out. Hey...LET'S GO!!! 🤘🤘
Glad you are enjoying it and I really appreciate your interaction! I always love checking out your comments! Have a great night and talk to you soon! 🤘🏻
You need to listen to the album, Carnival of Souls by Kiss. By far the heaviest album they ever put out and never played live. Please do a reaction to "Hate" from that album! You will not be disappointed.
If u like this heavier style of KISS you should check out their album “carnival of souls “. Under appreciated album. I’ll have to send some requests ur way from that album.
It's an album you either love or hate. I do the former. Had to repeat it a bunch of times back then, album really was a grower for me, some songs I liked instantly though. This album represents a stage of Kiss that never became reality, Kiss Unplugged and Kiss reunion changed Kiss' plans
This riff is a great banger. One of many great songs on the Revenge album from 1991. probably the best album since Lick it up in 1983. the albums between Lick it up and Revenge only have maybe 1-2 good songs per album (which is very low considering other eras).
The drummer is Eric Singer. He joined the band after Eric Carr passed away from cancer. He was with them until they retired. He took over Peter Criss' cat personna for their last several years.
FYI: Guess what bans opened for them on this show: Slayer, Black Sabbath and Suicidal Tendencies, . The best KISS drummers have always been named ERIC this is a Singer too 😂
Such a great great period For the non makeup version of the band. They finally got their look together, Simmons stopped looking like a cross-dressing ogre of some sort and really settled into a cool black and silver kind of look again. Plus the song writing is killer as well
Oh yeah!!! Love Unholy. One of my favorites!!!! Banger!! If ur ever interested u should check out the music video Also that drummer is Eric Singer. He’s a beast
You wanna hear heavy KISS look up KISS Carnival of Souls (HATE) and look up (Master & Slave)! Unfortunately it's just music since they didn't tour for the album instead went back to the makeup. The line up is still Gene, Paul, Bruce and Eric same as Revenge.
This is definitely an even heavier Kiss than you may have heard before. This was when grunge was taking over and Kiss dipped their toes in it. I think it was perfectly suited to them at the time. Kiss had always been disrepected for being cheesy. This showed a really heavy, driving side that perhaps their detractors weren't used to.

This was such a banger!!! Loved this riff and can't wait to hear more from KISS!
If you like big drums.Listen to Creatures Of The Night.
'82 release.🥁🥁🤟🎵🎸
I saw the tour too btw.😊
This Kiss lineup killed it live during their HITS & Revenge tours.
Eric Singer. Was a member of Badlands band with Jake E. Lee also played for Ozzy
Eric Singer on drums. He also put on the Catman makeup after Peter Criss left the band again.
I wish they had continued in this vein, best stuff they produced in years.
You need to listen to the album Revenge! It SHREDS!
I think the studio version is even better.
Much better.
I’ll have to check that out! Thanks for the insight!
The studio version is way heavy. You should check out the great music video for Unholy. All in horror black and white!
@@setonhillstudios Check out the music video for it.
100%. First time I saw the studio I saw Singer going nuts!!! So good.
People that hate KISS, don't know KISS. Their music rarely gets the credit it deserves!
AMEN, AMEN and AMEN brother.
This isnt Kiss
@Geraldo-ro9rc Yes it is.Do any bands have original members any more? You must not like many bands then.
Oh get a life@@Geraldo-ro9rc
@@jeffhodge7272 They dont put on the makeupp to look like the other members do they?
This is also Bruce Kulick on lead guitar here. 🤘🏼🖖🏼
Gotcha!! Thanks for the reminder! Such a beast!! 🤘🏻
Eric Singer, also played for "Badlands" band in the 90's
Musically, their best line-up in my opinion.
I agree. Professional and reliable, as well.
I also agree definitely the tightest.
Bruce Kulick on guitar and Eric Singer on drums were awesome.
Me too. 100%
Carnival of souls, is awesome.
You created me on that day that you were born! Best line in this song
Eric singer the beast.

It's an album you either love or hate. I do the former. Had to repeat it a bunch of times back then, album really was a grower for me, some songs I liked instantly though. This album represents a stage of Kiss that never became reality, Kiss Unplugged and Kiss reunion changed Kiss' plans
Carnival was the last badass Kiss album, one of their best ever imo
@@dirkvanderpoel6797 I concur.
This riff is a great banger. One of many great songs on the Revenge album from 1991. probably the best album since Lick it up in 1983. the albums between Lick it up and Revenge only have maybe 1-2 good songs per album (which is very low considering other eras).
This is a heavy tune for sure. I would say their first heavy tune back in the day was Parasite
Eric singer. The best drummer they ever had. Played with them from 92-96 and frim 2001-2024
Such a beast! He tore this tune up! Loved some of those fills he was throwing down!
@@setonhillstudios yes, check out hes drumming on kiss alive 3. Amazing!
You can always tell when Eric Singer is on drums. Most drummers tilt their cymbals... His are always flat (parallel with the floor)
Great observation! Thanks for the insight!
He must love to wreck those expensive things. But it looks cool though
The best KISS drummers have always been named ERIC this is a Singer too 😂
Wow! What a lineup!!! Thanks for sharing!
What's ironic is that Eric Carr's real first name was Paul and Ace Frehley's first name is Paul as well.
@@setonhillstudios MUST CHECK OUT"WATCHIN YOU" FROM LARGO 75 OR JERSEY CITY 76
Such a great great period For the non makeup version of the band. They finally got their look together, Simmons stopped looking like a cross-dressing ogre of some sort and really settled into a cool black and silver kind of look again. Plus the song writing is killer as well
It’s such a great tune! The more Kiss I hear, the more I dig! Thanks for hanging out! 🤘🏻
Oh yeah!!! Love Unholy. One of my favorites!!!! Banger!! If ur ever interested u should check out the music video
Also that drummer is Eric Singer. He’s a beast
He definitely tore it up! Loved his energy and those fills he was throwing down was straight 🔥
You should watch their music video for Domino. Love the vids keep it up!
Thanks for the recommendation and hanging out!
Eric Singer on drums..he was with them wearing the cat makeup when they retired......Shock Me Live Ace Frehley singing
Eric Singer is the drummer
Appreciate the info! 😄
Bro the music video is better than the live version!!!!!
I’ll have to check that out! 🤘🏻
Their best no-makeup era album! What a great riff!
That riff goes hard!!! Absolutely loved it!
Paul Stanley is top 5 best "rhythm guitar" players ever.
Oh snap! Let’s goooooo! 🔥
