One of the most underrated songs they ever put out, Bruce always killed it, live especially
Amen brother! I miss Bruce Kulick in the band!
And BRUCE KULICK the most UNDERRATED guitarrist ever. Not for my. Im from ARGENTINA.
This is the most underrated Kiss album.
True
As a HUGE Kiss fan all of my 49 years of life, this song is good. But the album's in the 70's were the best for me. Songs like Strutter, Black Diamond, God of thunder, Cold Gin, Deuse, Love Gun, Parasite and so many more!
100,000 years, All American Man, Rocket Ride, King of the Night Time World, that's funny, my first 7 albums were all Kiss, including their single albums... New York Groove
all of the above especially PARASITE! Detroit Rock City, She, 100,000 Years, Hotter Than Hell, Strande Ways, Goin Blind
There are a soooo many great songs, besides the mainstream ones. KISS actually had a lot of variation.
Completely agree - this is a first-listen for me wrt this song, but the old classic stuff is what you've gotta review! GOD OF THUNDER - that's quintessential KISS!!!
I am also a huge KISS fan since my childhood in the 70's.
Been a kiss fan since 76 and this is probably Gene's best song in about 30 years. The whole Revenge album is killer.
"Detroit Rock City" off of their Destroyer album released in 1976
This was from 1992 and was considered their big come back and best album from the non make up era. Big change from the glam metal from the 80's. This was also after Eric Carr their former drummer passed from cancer.
Reg Gia no, Carnival Of Souls was that attempt..
a steinmann in my opinion, Lick it Up is the best non-makeup album
Asylum is the best non makeup for me.
I genuinely believe Carnival of Souls is their best non makeup album. The whole album especially the Gene songs sound like a continuation of Unholy, which is really the only great song on Revenge.
@Reg Gia Nothing could be further from the truth. It's nothing like grunge. If anything it was a push-back on grunge.
KISS - Detroit Rock City, Shout It Out Loud, Deuce, Rock Bottom, Calling Dr. Love, Heavens on Fire
Love it loud
Tessica Banks LOUD... I want to hear it loud... right between the 👀
All great songs
KISS is one of those bands that all the integrants can really sing, some song are performed by the drumer (Eric), also the guitar player (Paul) and the bassist (Gene). Keep it up, guys! Cheers from Brazil!!!
One of my favorite Kiss songs is "Got to Choose" a Rock N Roll classic, also one of their lesser known hits.
Mine too 👍🏼
Earlier Kiss songs from the 70's
1. Rock n Roll All Night.
2. Deuce.
3. Strutter.
4. She
5. Hotter Than Hell.
6. 100,000 years because of Ace Frehley.
7. Detroit Rock City.
8. Making Love from Alive 2.
9. Shock Me.
10. Love Gun.
From the 80's:
1. I believe in Me.
2. War Machine.
3.I Love It Loud.
4. Exciter.
5. Lick It Up.
6. All Hell's breaking loose.
7. I've had enough.
8. Heavens on Fire.
9. Burn Bitch Burn.
10. Let's put the X in Sex.
It needs more from the Elder!!
I’d like to see them react to deuce or strutter. Give them a taste of Paul Stanley singing a bit. Or hard luck woman that was a good mellow song.
I second the Elder, highly underrated. But, this list is missing Shandi!
Cold Gin
For a movie that was never made
KISS - WAR MACHINE
YES!!!!!
Bryan Adams wrote that song for kiss. It's their heaviest song. Same Bryan who sings cuts like a knife.
Your freedoms just a state of mind!
@@TheAvailable43 Their heaviest song is Hate.
StuartBell52 Co-wrote it my friend :)
Listen to Children of the Grave by Black Sabbath!
dandroid98 would be cool, all these reaction channels listen to the most basic ozzy era sabbath songs and I’d love for a back catalogue song.
Children of the sea with Dio as the lead vocalist
Greatest riff ever.
I came here to post this on your most recent video in hopes that you may see this. You guys are awesome... You just seem like two dudes I would hang out with. I love your rock videos and get goosebumps seeing you guys experience some of these some for the first time. Keep up the good work!
One of my favorite KISS albums. Way heavier than their "normal" sound. Bruce Kulick is the lead guitarist on this album and Eric Singer is the drummer.
Yup, this is Gene singing but Paul Stanley is usually the lead singer. Thanks for doing a KISS song! They have a big influence in Rock history and are a very important group.
Since their big draw was their image and stage prescence, it would be great if you guys watched a live performance of them. Maybe something from the love gun tour. Keep it classic KISS lineup in the 70s :)
Why the hell do I keep head banging when you guys do??? I love your videos!.. Keep em coming
Gotta watch the promo video for “Unholy” to really appreciate how important this song was for KISS fans 25+ years ago. It was like you were all chill listening to Tone Loc... and then someone puts on Body Count. Shock and awe.
Great analogy. I remember when this video debuted on Muchmusic and my jaw literally dropped.
Bonus was they played Thunder Kiss '65 right before it which I had never seen or heard before either. Great day for new music for me ;)
Matthew... You nailed it man.. Cool comment
When it came out, I taped it off the MuchMusic Power Hour (Canuck here). I totally FREAKED. KISS got tough and dirty again. And Gene was finally the Demon again. This and the Revenge record have been a favourite of mine since it came out.
If you want hear thunderous drums from KISS you gotta hear anything off of their album Creatures of the night
Yes!
War Machine and I Love it Loud are fucking badass \m/
Heart- Barracuda 🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤
Another great suggestion.
BRILLIANT SUGGESTION! barracuda is a kick ass song!
I break out laughing every time I hear that song.
I love you guys so much, I am so glad I found your channel. I seriously have spent these past few days just watching you guys reaction videos, and as a Metalhead I have mad respect for you guys, seeing people appreciate the musicianship and talent metal takes just warms my heart. You guys are just great, I know you guys would be the dudes I would love to just chill with and listen to music with. I have also been exposed to other great music thanks to you guys! Just pure awesomeness, and with the way things are in the world today you guys are a breath of fresh air!!
When this song came out, kiss fans new our demon was back. When kiss took off the make up we could all see it was hard for gene to make the transition work the hardest having such a surreal character. This was a heavy song. This song brought the power our boys needed.
Revenge is like a KISS redemption album. No 70s makeup. Almost everything they did in the 80s was subpar. Here, KISS went full heavy metal and nailed it. Great choice!!
Classic 70s KISS is more about partying and chicks...and that’s awesome too. KISS was the blueprint for 80s glam/pop metal. Check Strutter, Deuce, or anything from Dressed to Kill album.
they didn't nail SHIT tbh
@@thatrespectablehuman1884 they nailed a ton of stuff.
KISS songs:
Black Diamond (1974)
Rock and Roll all Night (1975)
Detroit Rock City (1976)
I Stole Your Love (1977)
Charisma (1979)
Naked City (1980)

I Love it Loud (1982)
Not For the Innocent (1983)
Heaven's On Fire (1984)
Uh! All Night (1985)
Crazy Crazy Nights (1987)
Hide Your Heart (1989)

Kiss songs recommended: Strutter(1974), Black Diamond (1974), Strange Ways(1974), Deuce(from Alive-1975), Detroit Rock City(1976), See you in to your Dreams(1976), Love Gun(1977), Plaster Caster(1977), Shock Me ( from Alive 2-1978), Hard Times (1979), X-Ray Eyes(1979), Naked City (1980), The Oath(1981), Only You(1981), Nowhere to Run(1982), Creatures of the Night (1982), War Machine(1982), Exciter(1983), And on the 8th Day(1983), All Hell's breaking Loose(1983), Heaven's on Fire(1984), Tears are Falling(1985), King of the Mountain (1985), Crazy Crazy Nights(1987), Hide your Heart(1989), Rise to It(1989), Unholy (1992), Heart of Chrome(1992), I just Wanna(1992). I'll stop there.
Lame list. Why are picking all those OBVIOUS songs?
First, love your channel. I have rediscovered so much music that I grew up hearing. Watching you two hear it and reviewing as showed me a bunch of lyrics and music that I never really took in, even though I have heard it many times. Thanks a bunch
Great Kiss song...they were intentionally creating a more “gritty”, dark album here. Actually, one of their strongest efforts.
Kiss-War Machine!!
YES
That song came on Ozzy's Boneyard last night... volume went to 10
Creatures is a great album!
Anthrax- Only
That whole album is freaking amazing!
Parasite
God of Thunder
Strutter
Cold Gin
Lick it up
She
I love it loud
Black diamond
King of the Nightime world
Christine Sixteen
Strange Ways
Rock Bottom
Beth
All great Kiss songs. And "Unholy" is awesome. 🤘💀🤘
Gotta throw in War Machine
Kiss "I was made for loving you" The opposite of this song.
Please Do some Savatage Song like Hall of a mountain King, Summer’s Rain.
Or Hounds. Savatage is so underrated.
stéphane A Savatage is way too underrated. For me Savatage is the Best band Ever. Just my opinion. People who will be reading My comment if you don’t know Savatage I suggest you to listen some Savatage song. After Listening you guys will definitely give me a Thanks ;)
Savatage is really good. Chris Oliva was an amazing guitarist. However I respectfully disagree with your choices of songs. Don't get me wrong, Sirens/Dungeons were ok albums, Gutter Ballet was better. The song Gutter Ballet is great, and one of my favorite songs of all time is When the Crowds Are Gone. I think these guys would like that one for the music, and the fantastic story it tells. Just my opinion though.
Yeah, Savatage "Power of the Night" or "Hall of the Mountain King"
Strange Wings
This album came out in 1992-3. It was once again KISS changing form and adapting to the current musical style. This album was huge and last i checked, its their top selling album.
Fyi...this isn't their highest selling album.
You guys made this song a lot better than when I heard it for the first time. Keep up the great work.
KISS
1st album.
1st song.
"Strutter"
Gene is the bass player but does sing a few very iconic KISS songs. Paul Stanley is the lead vocals and guitar for the majority of their music.
Frank Marinucci he plays rhytm
bakoos lol he primarily plays rhythm but does play lead as well.
If nothing else, Gene can still sing. Paul had an amazing voice and stage presence. But, it's been on the way out since 2009 ish. And, judging from the videos of the recent European stops, it's done.
Chris Brooks So I wonder, will they get someone else to play Paul Stanley and keep the band going or will they call it a day? I wouldn’t be surprised either way.
@@frankmarinucci9782 I've heard Gene and Paul say that it doesn't matter who is behind the makeup. But, I don't think that's the case. Having said that I, I think they will try replacing older members. I'm not a fan of a brand. But, I've been a fan of mostly the original 4 since I was a teen back in 1976. I guess time will tell as Paul has had surgeries on his throat and what little help came from that is gone.
YES - ROUNDABOUT!!! YES - ROUNDABOUT!!! YES - ROUNDABOUT!!! YES - ROUNDABOUT!!! YES - ROUNDABOUT!!! YES - ROUNDABOUT!!!
Timothy Brice haha I feel you man. Gotta happen someday.
Most def
B Dubs LOL I hope🤞🏻
YES! YES! YES! YES!

"100,000 Years" is a great KISS classic song from their beginning and played in concert throughout the years! Its got a hot 70's groove with a killer solo!! I think you guys would like it
Kiss in the late 80s was basically a top 40 ballad band....losing their fans. This album came out and it was like a punch in the face! It was incredible!!
Dan W I’ve always thought their ability to write for the times from the early to mid 79s to the discoesque of late 70s early 80s, to glam sounds of mod and late 80s to this shows their talents as song writers, “there was Lenon & McCarthy and now there’s Stanley/Simmons” tho I can’t remember there’s other credits on this track, Vinnie perhaps? Didn’t he collaborate on this album?
KING'S X!!!!!! OVER MY HEAD OR DOGMAN
VASTLY UNDERRATED band, and if you want something with a groove, these are your guys.
King's X - Dogman, Black the Sky, Looking for Love
Dogman, definitely. They would love the groove on that.
Been requesting Kings X for months, but without songs... I shall adapt.
Dogman!
Volbeat - Still Counting
Trivium - Entrance of the Conflagration
YES!!! YES!!! YES!!! You can't discuss rock royalty without discussing these LEGENDS!!! This was the very video from KISS that I was going to suggest!!! AWESOME!!!
Thanks guys. Great job.
Did not expect you to do Unholy... This song renewed KISS in the 90's. One of my favourite songs, by far. If you were to do any other KISS song, I would probably suggest She, the KISS Alive! version as the studio version is quite flat.
I would suggest Got To Choose off of Alive!
Making love, Love gun, Dreaming,, Détroit rock cite...
Probably the best Kiss track of the 90s
@@jayburnett7880 ... or Watchin' You... Nothin' to Lose...
Big time. I've been a KISS fan since 1980 (age 4). When I heard this, I FLIPPED. The video was badass, as was the whole record. Still one of my faves by anybody.
The Sword - Freya please!!!
bullenunterwasser I came here to reccomened this song and you beat me to it. FUCKING AMAZING SONG. Also "Winters Wolves"
@@chriscarbone4116 yeah the whole Album is absolute amazing. Not a single bad song on it imo
bullenunterwasser truly is a fantastic album front to back. So is "Gods of the Earth"
Hey guys, really love the channel, hard luck woman is a really different kiss song, I’d love to see a reaction. Thanks for the work
I never got notified for this one! dayum!
King’s X - Dogman or Over My Head
Simon Slee sadly I don't think they'll ever get to a King's X song
Alan B we have to keep campaigning! I have been doing so for months on YT and Patreon.
Yes! KIngs x- Dogman. That would be a good one. Kings x are a great band. They have the heaviness, the melody, the groove, and they can be progressive.
Todd Turner yes I agree and over my head has a great solo
Yes I agree, that's why I list both as I can't decide. Dogman is probably the best introduction to the King's X sound and groove, but I agree on the no solo, and Over My Head is the best way to hear the King's X soul, but the production is a bit dated. Hard to decide!
For a song like this to have a crisp sound I gotta shoutout the musical engineer behind the mix man but also Kiss is one of those bands that I've heard a few tracks from that are up there so this song did a solid job for me because it has a bit of replay-ability in my ears if I was to get my day started to some rock or something. Dope song from Kiss and the video is well done also fellas.
Thank you for your review of Kiss. My suggestion for an earlier Kiss song would be Cold Gin (Alive album version). Keep the videos coming! Love 'em all.
You dudes are the sh*t! So glad I found your channel! Love KISS BTW!
Fun fact: Rush toured with Kiss back when they were first getting started. They credit Kiss with learning how to put on a show and a hard work ethic.
@@joddeurter2448 So does your mom
mindre begavet Nah, that’s your mom
@@TFEnright5 You're still talking? It's like you can do anything with another man all up inside of you.
Album Revenge from 1992 is showing KISS in their heavier times. Drummer Eric Carr just passed away, they picked up producer Bob Ezrin back and tried to do a real angry hard rock album. KISS went through many style changes - hard rock as default, disco influences in 79/80, prog rock opera in 81, heavy metal in 82, then period of glam metal until the end of eighties, back to the style with Revenge and going away with alternative grunge in 97. Nowadays they are not experimenting anymore, doing classic hard rock in full make-up.
I'm sure you will recognize their seventies classics like Strutter, Deuce, Rock and Roll All Nite, Calling Dr. Love, Detroit Rock City, Love Gun or I Was Made for Lovin' You.
Awesome vid guys!!! Gonna keep asking Fear Factory. A few solid choices would be Powershifter, Self Bias Resistor, Fear Campaign, Resurrection, and Replica.
FEAR FACTORY- “Self bias resistor”
Either this or edgecrusher or descent. Fear Factory made some awesome stuff
Anything off of Demanufacture and Obsolete all day every day!
Ohh yeah!! It's time for some Fear Factory reaction!
Dire Straits - Sultans of Swing
Hopefully this isn't a blocked song
At this point, anything from Dire Straits would be awesome.
you have to react to Iron Maiden's Rime of the Ancient Mariner
You can't write off the greatest heavy metal band just like that
Taimur Hussain thank you I’ve been wanting them to do this for a long time
In the Trooper reaction They said they'd like transitions.
then they should pick longer songs, hard to give transitions in 3-4 minutes long song.
Sure they can. If they don't agree with your opinion, they most definitely can.
My guess is that they're not done with Iron Maiden (and a few others) yet. However, it'll be awhile before it happens, _if_ it happens. Who knows?
Alexander The Great would be awesome
Alexander, Powerslave, Dance of Death, Aces High all great
but I'd be better if they heard what Iron Maiden are really capable of with a 14 minute epic.
Catchy tune. Glad you guys liked it. I like very few songs by them but I dig this.
Love you guys. Make me smile. ✌
Triple upload damn!!!
Detroit Rock City is the best KISS song. But for a band that gets as much disrespect as they do, it's crazy how many amazing riffs and songs are in their catalog.
Don't forget, don't slip... KING'S X should be next.
lamech006 Unholy is better than Detroit Rock City.
Criminally underrated band.
Disrespect or not, their influence is far reaching across the metal/hard rock world..
KISS is timeless. They really bridged across a ton of genres.
Yeah it’s sad how many people right them off straight away because they have heard “I was made for loving you” and think all their music has that pop sound, Hotter Than Hell, Rock and Roll Over, Love Gun, Dressed to Kill, Destroyer, debut album are all killer albums and a must hear to appreciate KISS and their stacked catalogue.
You guys kick ass, love you two....keep rocking.
"I want you" is probably my all time favorite kiss song.
The Revenge album was their return to straight-up ballsy rock, very good album. They turned into a cliched hair metal band, with teased hair and spandex in the '80's. A lot of 70's rockers got sucked into the hair metal vortex.
I own Alice Cooper's Trash, but Turbo (Lover) seems to be missing from my collection....and for good reason. I'm also missing Ram it Down - can't remember that album, I'm sure I'm not missing much. I'm not a big fan of the sterile electronic drum sound a la ZZ Top.
**The cheesiest hair-metal song by Kiss is "Let's Put the X in Sex"......watch the video, I dare you :D
Best album they ever did.
So glad to see you cover arguably my favorite band of all time. Been listening to them my whole life. I'm 24 and during my childhood I viewed KISS as a complete badssery band.
I wait for y’all to post everyday. Love the reactions. Here’s a couple of suggestions that might diversify y’all even more:
Slow Dancing in a Burning Room- John Mayer
Holocene- Bon Iver
I Can’t Make You Love Me- Bon Iver
At The Gates - Slaughter of the Soul
Van Halen - Mean Street
tambor76 yeah they really liked ain’t talking bout love, they would love mean street!
Billy G - ive suggested it like 20 times over the last six months but it doesnt seem to be making a difference, i need some backup lol 😎
tambor76 me too I've been throwing that one at them as well. I'm dying to see the guy in the left lose his mind over Eddie's guitar work.
Circa Survive - Schema
You guys would absolutely love this song I can already see y'all's faces!!!
Keep on kicking ass guys!!
If you guys like intrumentals , listen to the song by KISS called " Carr jam " from the same record . GREAT song .
Iced Earth - Dracula
Please do "Ænema" by Tool.
I second this
I listened to kiss a little growing up, but nothing major. I just turned 49 and about 15 years ago I started listening to kiss. Got the box set and now I LOVE kiss.... all stages of KISS. They are very underrated. The old school kiss fans dont like the later stuff, but the later stuff is great. Kiss unplugged, kiss symphany.... its all good.
Strutter, Black Diamond, Love Gun!
Megadeth symphony of destruction
I'd be _very_ surprised if they didn't get around to this song eventually.
Hell yeah!
Peace sells first please.
KISS - “Love Her All I Can”
I aksed myself many times why the hell they didn't play that one, Strange ways and Mr.Speed in the 70's...
Milomir Maksimovic If those songs were released by any other band in the 70s they would be considered top songs of the era..I guess only the true KISS fans know how great KISS were.
@@basilpapachristos7835 few days ago I was watching documentary about Iron Maiden history, and noticed that some of early band members had Kiss T-shirt and Kiss jacket patch (drummer Clive Burr). Unfortunately most of the people, especially younger, don't have a clue how big and influential Kiss were...
Milomir Maksimovic yeah man, most bands after KISS were majorly influenced by them. Alice in chains, Soundgarden Nirvana, Motley Crüe, and Iron Maiden like you said are only a handful of major bands that were huge KISS fans.
You guys really got get back on some KISS! especially since its their End of the rd Tour this yr ‘23 try King of the Mtn! Strutter, Legend tonight, Nowhere to run, I stole your love, Sure know something, While the city sleeeeeps, Goin blind, Ive had enough, Tears are falling, Love gun, Strange ways, Black Diamond, Deuce, 100k years, Loves a deadly weapon, Domino, She, Creature of the night, Watching you, Only You, the Oath, King of the nighttime world and so on deep rabbit hole fellaz.. enjoy! 😝🤟
Simmons stage persona is "The Demon" BTW. Kiss has always had a very clean sound. Their first manager said that their demo blew him away with it's shatteringly clean sound. I became musician because of KIss. Rock'n'Roll All Nite was what started me down the road. They've had their ups and their downs. But listening to the studio albums is nothing compared to watching videos of their live shows. In their hayday no one could touch them. I had their 1977 HBO special memorized... every move, every note, every word. For straight up fun rock... check out "Strutter."
earlier kiss song - Black diamond
and also when you get back to Judas priest - Beyond the realms of death
\m/ \m/
Stevie Ray Vaughan - Texas Flood (El Mocambo)!!
For me it's got to be Couldn't Stand The Weather live from the One Night In Texas. It's just amazing watching him play, blows me away every time.
ua-cam.com/video/pcN4cvoTgSA/v-deo.html
Oooo El Mocambo is god tier, best version of So Excited I've ever heard.
I still have Live at the El Mocambo on VHS!
They did it. Video was up on Patreon for about 24 hours before the record label struck it down a second time. It was glorious though. Ryan is now an SRV disciple.
Thanks for reviewing a Kiss track! There are so many other songs in their catalogue for you to listen to and comment that it is difficult to recommend another one in particular. I would just say that "Creatures of the Night" and "Lick it Up" are good albums to go on with.
I'm a new subscriber, love the channel. I listen to all different genres of music so what yall are doing is great for me, love your reactions. If you haven't gotten any requests for Halestorm, you should look them up. Lzzy Hale is a female rock legend still in the making. Cant go wrong with any song, but I suggest I AM THE FIRE or I MISS THE MISERY
Strutter love gun. Christen sixteen. Rock and roll all night and detroit rock city
no,no,no,no and no
They sing: "Unhooooleeeeey", dudes ! Hahaha... The "Revenge" album is from 1992. And Gene Simmons isn't the lead singer, all 4 are sharing leads, but Paul and Gene are the lead singers. The KISS period between 1979 and 1999 is my absolute favorite one. Please react to KISS with the song "Rain" !!
But Gene is the lead singer for the song they are commenting on
Love this song and album, probably my favorite of each from KISS! carnival of Souls was another badass album. I love the original stuff they did of course but the heaviest stuff they did is my favorite.
You asked, "How was Kiss perceived when this came out?" This was the album that made everyone happy to be a Kiss fan again... this was the first time ( and last ) they got it right without the make-up shtick. This was very celebrated by both the old school Kiss fans of the 70's, glam rock fans of the 80's, and heavier grungier sounding 90's fans. It was fun, dangerous, dirty, loud, anthems.... it was a rock and roll record... their live show on this tour was their best.
All of KISS sang in the early years of the band in the 70s but the main singers now are Paul Stanley & Gene. As for the songs I request to review are, Detroit Rock City (the album version)(Paul), I was made for loving you (Paul), God of thunder (Gene),Love Gun (Paul) & Shock me (Ace) . But many, many, many more could be added! ;-) You guys are awesome!
Love it Loud by KISS. Do it. You'll love it.
FEAR FACTORY - Self Bias Resistor
Yordle Rin yaaaas!!!!
A great thing to check out a video concert from 1977-1978 when they were at their peak. They were a great rock and roll band live, and they had a state of the art show never seen before. It was a great time to be a kid. I honestly think you would get a kick out of it. The album DESTROYER is considered their best work.
Awesome!!! KISS is my favorite band and has been my whole life. An early KISS song you should do is "Detroit Rock City". Rock on, guys! Love your channel.
Rage Against the Machine-Bombtrack
Primus-John the Fisherman, Tommy the Cat, My Name is Mud
They have already done Tommy the cat, good shout for the others though.
High on Fire -- Fury Whip
or Turk, Cycolpian Scape or Bastard Samurai!
or The Cave, Frost Hammer, or Rumors of War
Great reaction video...to a great band, KISS.
Keep on grooving much love
Wow. I was not expecting this when you said you had a KISS video. I figured it would have been an old hit like Detroit Rock City or Rock and Roll All Night (neither of which I would recommend). This song, and the album "Revenge," basically is the end of 80s era KISS before they reverted back to their make-up style and only playing their old 70s hits. Frankly, I find that boring. I prefer the non-make-up era that essentially starts with Creatures of the Night and goes through Revenge (yes, I know they had make-up on Creatures, but it's the sound I like that started there). I would say that this album is definitely their "heaviest" album, but it still largely has that 80s pop-rock vibe on the other songs. Their pre-80s stuff is pretty standard classic rock and not really heavy. Oh, and they have two lead singers: Gene Simmons (who is singing on this track), and Paul Stanley, who does most of the singing and has a cleaner vocal style. I would recommend "I Love It Loud," "War Machine," "King of the Mountain," "Tears are Falling," "God Gave Rock and Roll to You," and "God of Thunder."
Agree. Non make up was when they focused on real good music writing I think. Love that era
badbirdkc DRC was a good song.
You wouldn't recommend Detroit Rock City? Dude, what the hell?
badbirdkc I love this era of kiss animalize, asylum, and revenge are probably some of favorite albums by them.
Wish Erick would’ve been able to record this one.
TED NUGENT-STRANGLEHOLD. Groovier than hell and you'll both be "Head-Noddin" in seconds. Mature, bluesy solo, not shredding, but with many aspects to it. Infectious bassline that's gonna drill into your head and set up shop...
Ted Nugent is a scumbag, but damn, his music kicks ass.
I love the way you described the song. Makes me look at it with even more respect than before
Wow! Didn't see this one coming. Usually when people talk KISS it's the "standards" (Rock and Roll Night, etc...). Really glad to see you guys hitting something less well known and much heavier than most things they offer. Bruce Kulick is a beast on guitar. First album with drummer Eric Singer, I believe (as Eric Carr had passed away shortly before).
will you guys ever make your playlists public? also really wonder what you say about this: the darkness - i believe in a thing called love :D
This song is a straight banger
Please consider playing parasite from kiss you guys were like it!
Another great one, you guys :) next, you need to do Khomaniac by Artillery!
Lovin the videos guys, do you think you could listen to some more krit songs?
A few great ones that I don't know if you guys listen to yet are, soul food, somedays, dreamin.
Keep up the work yall!
