Tony and Peter are father and son, end of discussion. After Peter turned to dust, Tony was so devastated, it was painful to watch. And after Tony was gone, Peter had the exact same expression. They loved each other so much and I'm still sad they didn't have more time together....
Remember when Captain Marvel brought him back to Earth? Literally the 2nd thing he said to Steve Rogers was "I lost the kid". Like it wasn't even about him losing the fight, he literally couldn't take the fact that Peter was erased on his watch. And the scene when Peter realized Tony was dying, and kept telling him they "won", as if he were trying to avoid to deal with what he knew was happening.

This makes me incredibly sad yet heartwarmed that Stark really treated Parker like his own son and gave him tough love. Their relationship will always be one of the best and well played cinematic relationships in movie history. Their chemistry as father and son played by Robert and Tom works incredibly well.

Need I remind you Peter was the only exception Tony was willing to do? He had his family, Happy, his company. Everything was there, except Peter. He sacrificed everything on the line for Peter (and the snapped people of course). Its just heart warming Tony did this
