He looked up to beck and saw him as a potential father figure...but then he died as well. Now Peter is scared of losing happy. At the start where tony goes to open the door for Peter and tony says ‘no we’re not there yet’ and then coming back to endgame where Peter comes back, Tony hugs him. Their bond (even when Peter was gone) stays strong, and then to have tony leave Peter is absolutely heartbreaking. They both loved each other 3000.

@@mariaakinkuolie7610 He can't feel other peoples pain, But while he was, y'know, turning to dust, his ultra-healing (or whatever the heck it's called) was trying to put his body back together as he was turning to dust. Which is part of why he lasted longer than the others as he turned to dust, giving enough time for the whole "Mr. Stark, I don't wanna go" thing. So, he was one of the only ones in pain during his death, not because he could feel other people's pain, but because his body was trying to pull itself back together as it was being torn apart. Does that make sense? (sry late reply)

Tony was one strong man to cope with losing Peter until he got the hope to bring him back. But Peter is hella strong boy who lost Tony forever and knew it's all over now. I cried. And when Peter died I cried. I cried so much. I hadn’t cried that much since Damon died leaving Elena so heart broken.

This relationship was probably the best one that was ever shown in avengers. Tony wanted Peter to excel beyond anything he could do because Peter hasn't made the mistakes yet that Tony had. Tony knew he was at the end of his limit and realized he could start Peter there instead of forcing him to build the exact same thing by himself. In Far from Home Peter finally understands why Tony tried so hard to keep him as then friendly neighborhood Spider-Man. He was trying to buy him time while honing his skills, to grow up without add the pressure of his identity being known. Now he has to step out onto the larger stage and now he has to face into the wind with no mask to protect him. Tony chose to unveil himself as Iron Man Peter did not choose to have his identity revealed but now he will have to come to terms with the same things as Tony and all the other avengers did but at a far younger age.

When Doctor Strange questions their relationship it showed he wasn't at the maturity and experience level of Iron Man. He even said he'd sacrifice the kid and Tony if he had to. Ironman is a veteran. Iron Man(and Happy) took a teenage Spiderman under their wing. Now Doctor Strange(and Wong) is taking a teenage America Chavez under their wing by protecting her and letting her train with them. He was different than his variants instead of betraying America he saved her life repeatedly. I think Doctor Strange understands that after the events of Multiverse of Madness.. I hope we get to see their relationship develop like this and maybe get father daughter relationship video
Everytime I think about tony I remind myself that he’s gone forever and we cant bring him back and knowing the fact peter basically lost every father figure he’s ever had and then tony steps in but peter loses him too. It makes me cry every time. I really hope we can bring him back, that would be amazing.

I know right, I mean that would really be just what we need after Tony died because Morgan lost her father and Peter lost a father figure in his life and Tony played a big part in Peter's life once they started working together, because over time they developed a father-son like relationship. Peter always looked up to Tony and he always seemed to see Tony as a dad because of all he did for him and I just think that Morgan and Peter would become very close and Peter would be like a big brother to her.
