When we snap Tension Control bolts, we keep a bucket in the lift for the spline (that's the end that gets sheared off).
Most general contractors want these contained, they don't want them flying around or people slipping on them.
If the oil gets washed off them prior to using the TC gun, you can use a 12 point wrench to run the nut up.
    A 3/4" bolt takes a 14mm wrench, keep going up in 1/8" (.125") increments for 7/8" and 1" bolts.

What’s up? What’s the best boots for column climb? Some boots are very slippery. Thanks

I've always used thorogoods 🫡 but I know Redwing is up there. My first boot was Georgiaboot.

Redwings are great for being on iron. Cause they’re soft and you can feel when your foot is on an edge or something like that. More mental clarity to where your foot actually is.

It as for climbing the columns. I agree my redwings are kinda slippery. But I also can barely climb to the top of the column at the school.

Yo bro! Yeah man AZ needs apprentices right now. I'd just give the hall a call and just start the conversation. I'd expect you would start at least a week after you join.

Millwrights are part of the carpenters union and they are a little more similar to iron workers because they weld and do a lot of rigging…. Maybe you can try that if you don’t like working with wood all day the Millwrights don’t work with wood at all.
