Nice knee pads, sweetpea😘
Man I won’t lie the first job I had heavy ass iron like that, it whooped my ass every time. Would get the spud in and the second i would try and bolt it up would slide back out. Them heavy iron really tested me as an ironworker. So definitely having a good connector partner is key for them long heavy pieces
Nice what’s the span of the joist looks huge?
How long to get to raising gang

Fire video man. Do you mind me asking how much you make an hour as an apprentice?
Please keep making a day in life
Do you think you can do some welding videos as well?
🔥🔥🔥
Just tip, if ground guys loosen the column you wont fight the connection. Retired Local One.
This has my adrenaline going !!
Get better hooks those don't have locks, not very safe in my opinion seen some close calls where hook on guys get complacent and it'll come off the ground on the tip of the hook when you coming up on it if there's a small twist it'll wanna spin around and take its self around mouse latch
What about channel locks?
Why on earth would you impact one side befor me the other side is made🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️
Ever drop an impact or bolts?
Goodmorning big dawg. Glad to see the rez.
Once you get both sides in the web browser slew the crane over to the cleat bro so you’re not fighting the beam with your body. Good video enjoy watching your content
Were you local 75 here and are you still local 75?
You were in the union in tuc?
Nothing like a good old sledge hammer... Connect your end in first if your partners end needs welding to the shear wall connection, the sling looks to be more his end and let the crane do all of the work.
Missed you buddy, glad your back
Good morning bro David durazo constr Tucson Arizona
Anyone can practice safety without being in a Union. Non Union workers are better in the sense that you can do it at your risk and pace. It's not rocket science, but a Union worker would insist you believe otherwise. Union is like hoa, and the union worker is the itch.
Man I’ve been debating on going union really seriously. Been working with a bunch of union guys for a couple years now. Works been slow all year with the company I’m currently with but they keep promising us work just haven’t seen it yet. I really hate to leave this company as we do get some really good jobs and work a lot of prevailing wage jobs and I also trust the people I work and connect with. Honestly the thing that keeps me from just joining up is uncertainty and self doubt. I’m a decent connector (I learned the most working with these union guys) and i can weld circles around most. To me it doesn’t really matter what I’m doing though cuz we really have to do it all(rig, connect, bolt up,plumb, deck, weld ect…) I been at it 11 years man and I look at where I’m at now and know if I’d spent those 11 years with the union id be much better off.
Grating sucks😂
Don’t spud the clip put your bar in the beam hole to the clip u get more leveage
This how I installed stairs...Down cut loose!
You are almost 30 bro haha it happens. I myself am 32 man and Ive found myself at a huge crossroads this year. Works been super slow for me here in the southeast, slower than it ever has been. I’ve been seriously considering joining the 704 just to try to get more consistency in work and more security in my finances and my future but at the same time man I’ve had to much down time and I’m kind of second guessing everything. Like is this really the path I want to stay on and if so how much longer is my body realistically going to let me work like this. Really got me thinking about getting off the road and trying to do something else for good. But then it’s like what would I even do haha all I’ve ever done is iron so while I have other skills it’s still hard to imagine myself doing something else.
Do these get welded after being bolted in? Just wondering I know nothing
@@NistaDGB not these specifically, most beams use TC bolts, they are tightened until the tip of the bolt breaks at a certain tension. I’ve heard basically it tightens the steel together so tight it’s almost like it’s welded. But usually the ones that get welded are connected to the columns, those are usually full pins
To much whining kiddo.
No breaks longer lunch reset urself
Bro that took a while next time hurry your ass up
Where you at nowadays?
What's with the Spud crescent wrench?😢
As a steel detailer from europe is nice to see how things are done overseas. Im used to drafting like 300ton projects but this is something else. Im also learning how you guys put things up, massive respect to you guys! stay save out there and ill be sure to check the rest of your videos out! good job man!
You get to work with the best skilled people and the most amazing places when you work for the union.
I live in Phoenix and have been wanting to get into the union, Iron Work really gets me fired up thinking im gonna make the leap. Looking into Local 75 i seen your video with them in the title 2 years ago. If you have any recommendations or tips for anything please let me know!
buen trabajo bravo
The words I live by it keep calm and climb on or hangin and bangin these are my mottos #uni
Thinking about joining the iron worker union myself. I’m 23 and I have 2 years of experience doing both structural and metal building and the closes union to me is local 387. Any advice man?

Can't understand how to find truth and make politicians tell the truth and do there jobs exactly your jobs as we the people get the hell out if can't handle the truth
you work too hard to have a successful relationship with another human. you should look into robots
if you can go to gym after work you aren’t working hard enough. The iron is your gym.
You’re back
Leaving those bolts on that beam is real dumb, whoever told you to do that is a idiot
What song is this?
Idc what they all say. Holster your ego, try something new, learn and progress forward.👊 There is alot of pride in being a 'union ironworker' but there is alot of dogma aswell. Do your thing bro!
That is the work of sheet metal workers. Not the jurisdiction of iron workers.
Yes it is 😂, I'm a union iron worker and we do metal roofs all the time
I'm a sheet metal worker #local 104 San Jose CA I can say we don't want that work ...
@lukebingham2965 who is we? Don't want the work? Why? There are many who support themselves by doing this work.
It’s crimping deck, that’s ironwork brother.
@lavacacruz sorry I've been doing decking for decades. Oh well, I'm retired now .
