I just started playing with the playstation release and have been looking at guides for maybe a month now to get caught up with the mechanics of the game. I have to say; your channel is the best I've found so far! Straight to the point, no bullsht, like a good guide should be.

I’ve noticed most of pc gamers have it out for us ps players. It’s really weird and toxic kinda like there is some sort of ship etiquette of when and when not to attack?? Get super mad I shoot at them then CRAZY dis me after sinking me bc I’m trash right now. BUT I’ve met some of the coolest pc sailors that just ride along my tall tales quest

I did my first fort of fortune just a couple days ago on the release of season 12, I'm new to the game and only started playing a week before PS5 launch, and HOLY SHIT I was not expecting the amount of loot that I found inside the main treasure room after beating the Ashen Lord 😭😭😭 I'm a complete solo player so I had to hoard EVERY SINGLE chest and valuable in there by myself and quickly too because I was paranoid of other pirates coming to steal my reward. I ended up finding a spot to put it all at so I could use my ships harpoon to get it all on board and sold it all haha!!!

If you are looking to have some stress free fun, sea forts seem to be rarely utilized. Put up your emissary, plan a path around the Sea of Thieves to stop by several forts, collect both the treasure vault and store room loot in all forts, then sell at an outpost. It's a way for quick, easy profit, and you'll mostly only have to worry about Level 5 Reaper emissaries since they know where you're at.
Something I though about as you were talking about the ashen winds world event.. is how nice would it be if each Ashen lord had their own special attack move that only that ashenlord would use.. like they can keep like 2-3 of the same type of attack on all of them, but then have one that is special for which ashenlord you actually fight. it would put more interest in what ashenlord you get.
Same would go for the skelelords.. they could also have like one specific attack move that only that skeletonlord uses. and some attacks all use.

I might be wrong but I think the kraken is technically no longer a world event since it can spawn during other world events

Did FoD the other night as someone had activated it and I guess given up since they didn’t know how the lantern mechanic worked.
My crew figured it out while kiting skellys and beat the boss to then not know where the vault was, spent so much time running around a brigante showed up and destroyed us, though I did manage to escape from them with the key by swimming deep into the sea and drowning.so they couldnt get it.
for fort of the damned, just do a skull of destiny voyage instead of dying 6 times. also for bosses on the forts, stacking gunpowder barrels in a cornor and getting the boss there to blow them up saves SO MUCH time. (theres a billion kegs on forts anyways) great vid tho
also the new throwing knifes are RLLY good for pve. can deal with kegs (shoot them in the foot to get the keg) can spam 1 tap skellies and the heavy attack is basically a sowrd dash in a group of skellies.

Fleet of Fortune is no longer in the game as of Season 12, and the Fort of Fortune is more valuable than the Fort of the Damned.
Best tactic for all land battles is harpoon spam lol. It does a little damage but you can get a lot of hits in a short time. Just have 1 player on the island to distract the bosses
Amazing guide, how to you find rituals skulls though to activate the world event?
The best place to find them is from the Skeleton Fleet or Fleet of Fortune world events. Other world events can drop them too I think. Once you’re a high enough level, you get access to the Skull of Destiny voyage that will let you dig up a skull with the lantern colors you need already built-in. It makes starting the Fort much easier! But you have to reach Pirate Legend first to unlock that voyage

Is the kraken an world event or a random encounter?
Quickest way to beat ashen lords shoot them with cannons takes only about 7 mins instead of 20…shooting the skeley kegs in the foot with pistol saves the kegs save them for boss
How do you sword dash?
I think the kraken can spawn now when a world event is active

How to beat any fort/boss event as a solo player. Lead them to water close to your boat and cheese their range so they stay there. Go back to your boat and blast them. This is how i stack forts as a new solo

You can shoot flares to deal with shadow skellys. You can also use vomit for golden skellys as well as water.
Shadow skelly thing only works for the base variant the ones at Fort of the Damned need the special colours

I'm not new like most of the people here, but fort of fortune can drop really good loot sometimes. alone i did one and got a chest of fortune, chest of legends, and so much more. It took me an hour to get most of the treasure to a place i can harpoon it. No ships were near
I figured this out the hard way as a solo player a couple days ago completing a fort all by myself, opening the fort of fortune treasury only to see like 20000000 chests and valuables LMAOO
