Something worth pointing out is that, since the demise of Flameheart and his fleet, the Order's ghost fleets at lvl75 are now the only source of the OP wraith cannonballs. So, they are definitely worth grinding up for those sweet, shootable-kegs
It's super easy to rise this faction, all skulls gives you a lot of experience. The trick is to go at the devils Roar and take the 4 skellys hunts. The island geisers do the rest, most of the time you only have yo block attacks near geisers. Some times the missions have chapters that gives you more Maps, so you Will level up fast. Also the Devils Roar is not a place atractive to the people because of the volcanos and trembles, so you will not have reapers arround to much and you can perfectly do that missions solo before the volcanos start firing, also being on a sloop is even easier to survive. Skellys orders also gives you maps to chests that have skulls sometimes. Spaniards usually are good with people, even if they are Reapers. But they will hate every single reaper on the session... It's comon for them to wait for the other pirates reaction, if they are hostiles, Spaniards Will go yo sink them until the enemy ship reaches the bottom of the sea. Even if the cost is to lose all the cargo. They can even try to befriend tuckers. Saying that, you may have to difference betwen Spaniards and the rest of latins... The people from south america in Games are usually servants of the Blood god and betrayers... Spaniards at least keep their promises. Respect from Spain
Have started playing sot a couple days and mostly played OoS. What I found out to work best for OoS was running the Sirene shrines and vaults where you get a ton of coral skulls and Sirene gems until you get to rank 5 on your flag, at which you'll get a big journey where you can collect about 25 villainous bounty skulls which is a ton of money with the money boost of the max emissary flag.
Yeah if you get it to 5 once you can keep repeating getting level 5 with the emissary quests. And those emissary quests are often very explosive. One shot and the whole crew explodes, easier than the actual voyages
I expected the plot twist at the end of the video... and am still waiting.. what a shame! Know that feeling to well haha, bad luck man! Great and entertaining content as always! :)
honestly, gold hoarded and merchant to 75 were absolute grinds but i have nothing but fond memories about leveling order of souls. Just having a ship full of glowing skulls alone was awesome
Well, that's the pain of being an Order of Souls emissary. Hours of work, for nothing in the end. But now imagine there isn't a galeon with the greatest gigachads in the whole game to protect you.
I'm a dedicated Master of the Order, and I can say I have had plenty of fun soloing OOS missions. I once spent an entire night (9Hrs total) grinding OOS Missions, Gold Vaults, Forts and Solo sinking skellie ships. I met a lot of cool people and made some friends, and when I was done, I gave all my loot (over 200 peices of loot, maybe more) to a cool Reaper sloop, and we went to the Hideaway to sell, and when the Reapers were selling, a hostile sloop showed up and I left to defend the Reapers while they sold. After a scrap, I sunk unfortunately, but the Reapers managed to sell everything. If you ever see a blue ship sporting an Order emissary flag, stop by and listen to a story or two, and I'll even offer you loot and resources!
A good way to run the skeleton OoS voyages is; buy a bunch of voyages at once, start one, and ONLY go to the small islands. Once you knock out all the small ones, cancel your voyage and start a new one (while still at sea), that way, you can get a bunch of skulls from only small islands
As someone who has spent a long time out in the devils roar area farming ashen athenas, if your in range if a volcano have one player stand at the very tip of the ship and one steer. That way any rock cant take two of you out and you can keep the ship up easy with one player.
that brig from the ghost fleet, that makes me proud, as a fellow glitterbeard sail/flare/beard wearer, knowing the glitterbeard legacy is being paid due tribute and honor.
Man, you had a way better time than me when I did the OoS emissary. I got an alliance when I did it, but then we got into a massive 2v2 pvp match with 2 Reapers that lasted super long. Had been sweating bullets, but had gotten a lot of loot out of it.
I don’t even play this game, never watched streams or anything related to Sea of thieves but for some reason, I can not stop watching your videos. Thanks for a content and good job!
I only have 50 hours in this game, but something similar happened to me and it was legendary. Another sloop crew joined up with us, ditched their ship, and we 4 manned a sloop for like an hour. It was a blast.
Bizarrely, a very similar situation happened to me last night (new-ish player/OoS emissary trying to rank up to get sails, french alliance of sloops arrives while im doing a FotD and immediately adopts me into their gang, on the promise of skulls for me and merchant crates for them).
I was playing a few weeks ago and I had the pleasure of getting completely snuck up on by a player galleon. I was showing my friend who was watching about the game, I had literally just dropped anchor to stop my momentum and wait for a skele sloop's loot to rise to the surface, when I turn to the right as "Avast ye matey! We've come to take your loot" is all I hear before I get blunderbussed to death. I respawn and they literally never broke character. Me and my friend described them as "british pirates". They took my more valuable loot, and even let me keep some of my less valuable loot, before they took off. Later on as I finished my Order of Souls emissary to rank 5 and went to get the quest, I saw they were getting ready to sell. I sail up and I get a hail of "Oh hey! It's DJ!". They were about to get off, and gave me all of their loot and like 10-12K worth of stuff that they didn't bother selling. One of the greatest encounters i've ever had.
6:05 I'm glad you said that, jst the other day TWO of them pulled up on me, one on each side, out from below the waters So I turned towards some rocks I was hoping was an island. Turn out to b some unnamed area with docks and lanterns On the way there, one of them peeled off, but the other followed me all the way to about 2 galleon lengths away I thought I was gonna make it, but as I got close my ship made that sinking sound, I was speechless n couldn't believe how fast it sank That gave me the impression that sloops sink really fast now then when I last played
I remember I was solo slooping being helped with my entire first day in SoT by a couple of buddies in a brig. They said they were done with what they wanted to do and decided to tag along and showed me the basics. By the end of it all, after getting a lot of treasures, they sunk me and ripped the alliance, I couldn't say anything because I was too shocked. I didn't know how to feel. All that hard work and lengthy conversations, I still got betrayed. Then these guys, before sending me to my death, told me to never trust anyone because your hours of hard work inside the game can be taken away easily. They of course kept on apologizing while doing so but I guess to me, that was the actual end of my prologue and I'm still here sailing.
so rare to have an alliance like that. when you encounter a non cut throat crew, it's rare but makes a session so much more enjoyable. really wish the players did more research on pirates and realized, they all didn't just kill and sink every boat they came across. many pirates were no different from the navy, only difference was the navy was under royal command for a country/kingdom. many pirates were political and considered the befits vs disadvantages to attacking ships. they all also had a code they stood by...sadly many players don't and many of them don't even follow the game's rules/CoC either(but, unless i'm recording for evidence, they don't get caught and punished)
As I near 50 oos, I have discovered that the avsolute best way to progress is voyages in the devil's roar. The islands are relatovely close, most of them aren't big enough to make trouble finding the skeletons, and any ashen skull you find is great for reputation
Me brother and I are grinding out every emissary to level 50, we’ve done gold hoarders (too easy) and merchant, now we’re on order of souls, and bc we like shooting things, going island hopping to kill captains is elite. Plus the Skelly galleons are perfect for captain skulls and gems. The money and the fun it is to fight on the sea of thieves with Skelly ships is so much god damn fun.
Thank you cliff, for the clarification on the Replace name setting, I was kinda confused why you were playing with the same people and acting like they were different.
Back in the day the Oos emissary quest was super op. It was the same quest but the skeletons were so easy on it. My friends and I would make 120k in 4 hours and feel like it was good haul
So THAT'S, why people are so friendly to my brother and I! We like to do Order of Souls Emissary missions with the flag up. I noticed that players seemed more friendly than usual after I got the game back up and running. (Been playing since before season 1, 2018 I think.) I started playing with my brother again recently and almost every ship we have met has been friendly. Even those we fired upon either peace was made or both sides treated it as friendly practice. (We are a bit rusty and have been warming our PvP skills back up.) I have been watching your videos lately and I'm glad I saw this. Thanks a lot storyteller!
The reason there were so many gunpowders on the normal fort is due to a a change they made a bit ago to make more gunpowder skellys spawn the smaller your crew is, to make it easier to clear waves. Of course it would’ve been better to just shrink waves for smaller crews, but I don’t work at rare so I don’t know why they didn’t do that.
Also, yeah I got sniped by a volcano recently as well. Then I spent the whole freaking time it was erupting cowering in my cargo hold while worthlessly trying to put out fires and repair my ship. Was stuck there the whole time the volcano was erupting pretty much constantly burning to death and bailing water.
I've only ever been tucked on twice in my 700+ hrs. The first I joined up and found a dude as I made my way around the ship to grab supplies and the 2nd I immediately noticed when I went to grab the wheel and turn my ship. I've become a sorta counter-tucker. I actively watch for people planning on doing it. Like seeing a ship park an island away from my active fort so just sit in the tower closest to that side and wait. Few minutes later tucker shows up and dies to me.
No shot you guys lost ALL of the loot? You guys are so chill and calm about it, I am impressed, that would be enough to make me fast the game for a whole week
"A single random volcano is enough to ruin hours upon hours of work" Yes, if you're not being vigilant and staying away while they're erupting. You know, that's also the case for reapers, except you can't predict reapers as well as static map features.
if you're trying to level up order of souls the best way is to do the skeleton voyages in the devils roar. the islands are small and the geysers kill the skeletons for you and ashen skulls give more gold and XP. also buy as many voyages as you can there and try to get ones with multiple quests with the smaller islands and ones that are close to each other. (cancel the shitty ones with just one captain on a single large island and vote for a new one).
A friend and I were wrapping up a galleon voyage and went to drop off our supplies with a sloop we had allianced with. We dropped off the loot, finished sharing the supplies, and just…. never left. We sailed with the sloop alongside another lad we’d opened queued on the galleon with for a few hours, helping him collect loot and learn the game. Our good intentions were rewarded when we passed a shipwreck; I’d spotted a red glint, and decided we may as well anchor to collect the gem. To our delight and shock, we had stumbled across veritable a sea of loot! Little did we know, someone on the server had used the recent legend of the veil shipwreck glitch to illicitly spawn a ton of valuable goodies…. None the wiser, we were debating whether someone had sailed in circles dropping their loot or if we’d stumbled upon some 1/1000000 world event. Either way, we were more than happy to help the fresh solo slooper stop the booty from sinking and turn it in for a fine profit.

Lore be like
This is my favorite sea of thieves content, your way of telling storys are way too good! (sorry for some potential mystakes in my grammar, i'm french)
That crew that took the reaper down was insane, that reaper sunk faster than my will to live :)
that comment got too real too fast
@@CliffTheStoryGuy "you win some, you lose some"
Also, imma go pass out now, I've been noticed 🥺
And faster than my ability to not commit a mass murder
They are very pretty that's for sure
I love your videos man!! I enjoy every single video you upload at breakfast :)
What'chu having for breakfast?
@@CliffTheStoryGuy Usually leftovers from dinner the day before. I'm not a huge breakfast guy lol
Well, that's the pain of being an Order of Souls emissary. Hours of work, for nothing in the end.
But now imagine there isn't a galeon with the greatest gigachads in the whole game to protect you.
hey cliff what side are u going to be on for the adventure btw love your channel keep up the great work
🔥💀🔥
How do u get the ripped sails u have
A good way to run the skeleton OoS voyages is; buy a bunch of voyages at once, start one, and ONLY go to the small islands. Once you knock out all the small ones, cancel your voyage and start a new one (while still at sea), that way, you can get a bunch of skulls from only small islands
More and more your videos are getting entertaining and hilarious Cliff Bravo! Great adventures and don't let it stop your legacy.
I love that you are bringing light to this faction, thanks.
Hopefully Rare gives them some new content
That is a massive compliment thank you very much 😳
I only have 50 hours in this game, but something similar happened to me and it was legendary.
6:05 I'm glad you said that, jst the other day TWO of them pulled up on me, one on each side, out from below the waters
So I turned towards some rocks I was hoping was an island. Turn out to b some unnamed area with docks and lanterns
On the way there, one of them peeled off, but the other followed me all the way to about 2 galleon lengths away
I thought I was gonna make it, but as I got close my ship made that sinking sound, I was speechless n couldn't believe how fast it sank
That gave me the impression that sloops sink really fast now then when I last played
I was recently introduced to this game and now here I am binging these episodes/stories.
My dude, you have earned a sub tonight!
See, I never forget Order of Souls cuz I love their cosmetics and am always tryna level them up X3
The rowboat and the french galleon people were absolutely mega chads 🗿🐐🥂
dude cliff has grown so much recently, i remember watching his vids months ago when he was at only 14K subs
Can’t believe that this was one year ago 😢
As I near 50 oos, I have discovered that the avsolute best way to progress is voyages in the devil's roar. The islands are relatovely close, most of them aren't big enough to make trouble finding the skeletons, and any ashen skull you find is great for reputation
Me brother and I are grinding out every emissary to level 50, we’ve done gold hoarders (too easy) and merchant, now we’re on order of souls, and bc we like shooting things, going island hopping to kill captains is elite. Plus the Skelly galleons are perfect for captain skulls and gems. The money and the fun it is to fight on the sea of thieves with Skelly ships is so much god damn fun.
as an old french player this is so fun to see, i always had a bad vision of french's people on SoT but THIS comforts me, thanks :D
13:18 this was valuable info for me as I’m trying to get the forsaken scar
Thank you cliff, for the clarification on the Replace name setting, I was kinda confused why you were playing with the same people and acting like they were different.
Back in the day the Oos emissary quest was super op. It was the same quest but the skeletons were so easy on it. My friends and I would make 120k in 4 hours and feel like it was good haul
Emissaries are considered "back in the day" now? When I think "back in the day", I think an entire server fighting over a Skelly fort.
Cliff while the galleon is on the server: "unlimited POWER!"
Cliff when galleon people leave: "I am so weak now 🤢"
I've only ever been tucked on twice in my 700+ hrs.
I really hope you keep growing. Been here since the early days, your content and editing is always top notch, I can see you continue to grow far
I like the fire force music at 9:09
No shot you guys lost ALL of the loot?
You guys are so chill and calm about it, I am impressed, that would be enough to make me fast the game for a whole week
Nah we saved it, but it felt like a fitting point to end the story. Either way we don't get super hung up on losing loot anyway
@@CliffTheStoryGuy well I can't argue with that logic! Also, thank you for reading my comment :)
I am new to Sea of Thieves and I CANT STOP watching your videos. They’re amazing man.
you know it 'bout to be a damn good day when cliff uploads
Yes. I am of the Order and we do t have jack. The fact y'all had so much help is amazing
Best SoT content out there, already rewatched a couple of video, very nice job.
Order of Souls was my first company. I just can say that I like so much the style of missions.
i think i mightve run into this athena crew before
That makes sooo much sense , I coulda sworn I saw myself and my ship in one of your videos . But I didn’t see my gamer tag.
"A single random volcano is enough to ruin hours upon hours of work"
Yes, if you're not being vigilant and staying away while they're erupting.
You know, that's also the case for reapers, except you can't predict reapers as well as static map features.
Seadogs never forgotten, slaying crews till the end of time.
~ Couldn’t think of anything else that rhyme
if you're trying to level up order of souls the best way is to do the skeleton voyages in the devils roar. the islands are small and the geysers kill the skeletons for you and ashen skulls give more gold and XP. also buy as many voyages as you can there and try to get ones with multiple quests with the smaller islands and ones that are close to each other.
