I just posted I similar play good work 🤣, congrats on 7k!!!
Hey I don't want to be that guy but did you know you can assign hotkeys to your d-pad so that you don't have to open your scroll wheel
Solo sloopin teaches you the way of the honey badger.
he is literlly ina team whole video
@@Dualities It's a general statement.
My anxiety when I'm alone on a sloop
You always gotta be on the lookout
@@captain_squiddy if you ever see a sloop called the "flamenco" on the seas that's me and I won't attack
Playing Solo is basically playing Hardcore
Don't worry. Get your ass kicked enough time and that anxiety will turn into bravery real quick
For real, my heart drops into my stomach when I think I see a ship on the hozison coming for me... but it's just a cannon tower at a fort. Solo sloop paranoia is real.
big advice for new players on console: if youre not absolutely cracked at fps games, enable the option to play on console only servers. mouse and keyboard lets you do better movement and aiming, so when you encounter an experienced pc player they will make you feel like a headless chicken
Maybe a silly question but I assume if you do this you can't invite your friend from PC to play with you on console?
@@MrGiganoth yeah thats the only downside. i don't know if PC players can join/stay when they use a controller.
I play on pc... With an Xbox controller.
@@adamdesouky4529why would you do that, purposefully merging yourself in every category except for maybe fishing.

Tbh, i love the sloop. Me and my buddy arent too skilled, but we seem to consistently take down brigs. I think teamwork is probably the biggest factor in winning or losing. If your team can't coordinate, you might as well scuttle.
As someone who has exclusively solo slooped since I started playing last year, this video was very satisfying to watch
how do u fight a gally when solo slooping? I can fight another sloop but idk how to fight 3-4 people on a bigger ship
@@21ninpou don't, u book it out of there with what you got (I ain't a good player, but I solo sloop, and it's never really a winning fight for new players like me)
@@21ninpoSoT is a game designed to be played with friends
@@adamdesouky4529 well thats fun
@@21ninpo you fight from distance. The gally fills up pretty fast so you can as long as you hit your shots haha
Some pointers for solo sloopers or Anybody really. Blunderbombs are invaluable for ship defense. I always carry some with me as all I need to do is just throw a bomb at the side of the ship I heard them grab the ladder from and the splash damage will go through the wall and knock them off. This is much safer than trying to one blunder them as they climb up as there is a chance you won't one shot them or they will ladder juke you to make you miss your one shot to stop them. You can also spam blunderbombs much faster than you can shoot your gun so even if you encounter somebody who just grabs the ladder again after being knocked off you can just throw another blunderbomb to knock them off again. And if they keep regrabbing the ladder then after only 2 blunderbomb splash damage they are now in 1 shot kill range from the eye of reach so it's much more dangerous to climb the ladder.
Another thing is that if you are on duo or even solo and you do use your gun, don't stand right in front of the ladder. People can just ungrab and shoot you then take that opportunity to climb if you do get knocked back. You can usually stand on the railing on the cannon side and hit them off so that they cant regrab, or literally anywhere on the sides thats not infront of the ladder.
Note: Usually you don't see adventure mode players shooting from ladder, but it's a good habit to have anyways.
The far cry 3 music really pulled this together 🔥
It’s one of the best video game soundtracks of all time
The Days Gone Music too

I am learning how to out-sail other ships in the game too. Sure, you can beat me in a fight; but you have to catch me first. Watching brig and galleon crews waste their time chasing me across the map in my sloop is a hoot.
Star Wars references are great! Love it!
I fit two prequel memes in one video!
This is wicked. My buddy and I are beginners and we just sunk our first ship the other day and it was the best feeling ever. Keep up this content
Helloooo, crew member of a big ship here! Me and my friends are beasts with our big ship, we've not sunken once in pvp against other big boy ships. But we are extremely friendly to smaller ships who don't attack us, we mostly mind our business killing skeletons or ghost pirates or going to sunken ships, me being drunk, and everyone singing and playing an instrument, just having a good time. Just wanted to let everyone know, not all big boy ships are looking to bother you. Much love guys and see you guys in the high seas
thats basicly me and my 2 mates. me vomitting from way to much grog and the others playing shantys or dancing
If I know there’s someone tucking at a fort, I’ll use voice chat to tell my partner “let’s load the kegs last”. This will usually lead to the tucker waiting until the kegs are loaded to make a move, but of course we will never load the kegs and simply sail away as soon as the loot is loaded.
2:44 is the reason why blundy will always be king in sot, never leave home without yours kids
I like that not only did you defeat some larger crews, but you did it without being toxic or relying on spawn camping them constantly
spawn camping is litterally a strategy like another how is it toxic if it's a mechanic in the game
@Pipo-dq7wx it's not a mechanic though, it's something that can't be removed without seriously unbalanced gameplay. However spawn camping is very toxic as it completely removes the ability of the other player from playing or defending themselves.
Played today and decided to do a treasury for an east headstart in Emmissary Grade and once I was finished, I returned to my ship to be jumpscared by a grade 5 Reaper.
Not because they were sinking me or waiting to ambush, but because I spawned below deck and walked up to the top to be met with 2 guys staring at me with their spyglasses... while on my ship.
They were honestly pretty chill, just asking what I was doing and just taking my firebombs and chainshots. Nothing else.
You got lucky there bro!!
i really enjoyed this video, the talking, the music, the intense pvp and skill, amazing

this reminds me of a satisfying moment i had recently. i just did Fortress of the Damned and me and the random i was with made an alliance with a Solo Sloop who came in mid-Fortress. we sold our loot at the nearest outpost, leaving just the reaper chests, and i noticed on the map that a Reaper Alliance ship was waiting for us there and it was a brig. we still had the powder kegs, so we had a plan. our solo sloop ally went in with one of the kegs and blew them up while we stopped on the other side of the island to sell. the Solo Sloop sunk because he crashed trying to rush the keg over to them. when we stopped, i told my friend to launch himself over to fight while i sold the chests. after i sold them, i went and joined the fight and the crew was desperately trying to save their ship. we kept killing them until their ship eventually sunk. they also had other treasures on board, so we sold them as well and then we all parted ways. it was probably my most satisfying moment in the game by far
I wanna keep in mind the Sentence said in the end of the video: „You are not always going to win.“ The enemy Crews shown here aren’t particularly PVP gods and his sloop crew was also pretty good. Don’t get me wrong, this can happen, but don’t expect it to always happen. I myself was able to sink a 4 Crew gally as a solo sloop, because their crew was pretty bad at the game. More often then not you will encounter a bigger crew, which will sink you in combat. But yes sometimes you can defeat a bigger Crew. What I’m trying to say is don’t always engage in combat with bigger crews expecting to always win, it’s not going to happen.
Another major thing to point out is that "Victory" doesn't necessarily mean beating the enemy in combat. It can mean just getting away with the loot and selling it. I usually duo sloop with a frien, and we very rarely get sunk by bigger crews because we're able to maneuver better and get to outposts quicker than they can.
A true Reaper, loves the thrill of being out gunned and out manned in a naval fight. Battle on, soldier on! We sink or swim, hunt or be hunted! Nothing brings me more joy or thrill then the thrill of sloop to brig or sloop to galleon combat when the odds are stacked 3 or 4 vs 1 against me.
Thanks for the video I swear half the ships I fight are brigs and larger, far too big for a solo slooper
Slooping can be rough sometimes
i like the f1 23 or 22 main menu music at the beginning, brings back so many memories
Beutifull work guys! It's always fun to humble a bully Galleon crew.
Love the video ! Guess I'll be coming back to the seas some time soon ! btw, what's the song at 6:33 ? It sounds familiar but I can't pinpoint where I've heard it
As a Playstation player I just turned off crossplay and keyboard/mouse players and now I mostly find other new people instead of pvp sweat lords
I massacred galleons with the brig but seeing you do that with the sloop is just wow...
What cannon cosmetics were you using? Nice video btw
nice job, thx for advices
Even when you raise sails all the way you still have some momentum. So thats why you drifted into the Galleon a bit.
Thanks for this as a solo player I just can't keep acting recless on a public server and I can't just pull out my megaphone expecting the passer to be friendly.
My eye sights not very good but I need to be more alert I can't just ancher at a small island and hope to get away with 4 king chests I have to watch for sails on the herizon even if the loot is tempting I must leave the island and bolt it as much as possible.
Thanks for the advise.
15min Ago i sank solo an Brig but i think they just Player singen 2-4 weeks, and i think when you are playing solo bone callers are your best friends
Future big sea of thieves creator❤️🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Galleons are easy to take out, chains and lots of fire and now with the new scattershots
Really good video!!
the music makes it even more dramatic. xD
You say awareness and always staying one step ahead is why you one the fight as the smaller ship, what I saw is an ungodly amount of luck by blundering the original boarder in the face without nuking yourselves. Absolutely insane.
This truly was a sea of thieves moment
man i wish i was good at this game. i play solo because my friends dont like it very much and i keep getting curbstomped, but its still fun. the other day i was running from a galley with some big ass shiny chest in my hands and i jumped off and swam to sell it while they were still chasing my empty ship. someday i will be the one chasing
Maybe you just need a change of attitude. Instead of doing stuff and running, you could start collecting kegs on a rowboat and hunt them.
I only log in to steal from others and sink their ships.
If you see reapers on the map, wait without a ship but plenty of kegs and reapers and destroy their day.
You're gonna be the monster they fear most of.
@@Randulaith i can try that this weekend, thanks for the idea! but how will i know where i am and where reapers are without the map table?
hey quick question how do you record on your xbox? im planning on doing how to guides for the game for new ps5 players
My friend, that was beautiful.
Solo sloop here. Thank you
I like the use of Days Gone music
Good to see that even after years there's still no shortage of people in their skinny black pajamas who play the game by being afk 95% of the time and risk nothing in any fight they participate in.
That Far Cry 3 music brought some massive nostalgia
A buddy and I sunk a Galleon with scatter shot shortly after taking down 2 of their masts. It was the quickest take down that ever happened, and we found out that it was due to a Chest of Sorrow they had on board.
Just a little food for thought, for the risky players hoarding cursed chests.
I’m back to once again say thank you
This guy likes star wars and I like him. Subscriber gained
What spyglass and cannon set is that?👀🔥
I finished one of these fort of the damned without using the lanterns. Someone much better than myself managed to chase me and my friend down in the middle of a storm and board our boat and sink us. Taking all of our treasure.
Sounds like us 😆
@@Randulaith This happened very recently to me and my crew. Probably a week ago.
What cannon skin are you using?
I personally love slooping solo and never give an f
Personally I would have tried to save 1 mega keg for the brig but overall good video 👍
Do you play on console only servers or pc ones, ive been feeling like i might want to go on pc ones cuz they might have more activity but idk
Your team mate sounds exactly like my brother it’s strange
that anti keg suicide with the shotgun was insane
The timing on it was just perfect
Only worked because the enemy didn't light the keg before grabbing the ladder.
I’m on PS5 so I haven’t been playing very long, but it seems like everyone we fight that’s on a sloop are pretty good at the game. It’s also weird but when me and a friend are duo we do sooo much better in PvP than when we have a bigger ship with 3-4 people
Solo sloopers gotta play harder for the same benefits
@@juulee68 definitely. I feel like that’s one reason why my buddy and I do better in a duo than with more people. When it’s 2v4 we try way harder
I love the sloop
Yes, size matters, but hehe... not like you think! People run from my sloop! I always fight with the left side, and i turn faster than bigger ships, i can easily get out of their cannons way while still having my cannons pointed on their ship... Also it's best to shoot the ships lowest compartments. So always aim for the bottom, and slingshot / chain shot the mast and after that use fireballs and make sure at least one of them lands on where enemies raise the mast, and then fire the F... out of their bottom, they'll sink faster than a solid rock! Like i said initially, people gets scared and run away from my slope lol! Also communication is key. Make sure that one drives the ship and always have you in line, and that the guy that steers the ship, also do repairs, and he has to tell you when he has to do repairs and then ask you which way he should pre turn to while repairing to keep the cannons in line, and then turn 1 click to that direction with the steering on the ship, 1 click equals 1 pole on the steering. the bandaged pole one is the center and makes a click when its centered.
The sloops are insane, but, if you have a brig or a gal, with full crew, and everyone on that gal or brig knows their task and which side of the ship to fight from, then a slope is most likely to be dead pretty fast.
Sloops can often be stronger than larger ships because it’s easier to coordinate with 2 people than 4. But a well organized crew of 4 will almost always beat a sloop. Power in numbers
I don't know why, but the song that plays during the galleon fight makes me think of Far Cry 3.
What are those cannons?
OMG I RAN INTO THAT BRIG YESTERDAY
I has the same name and captian
I tried to help out a brigantine ship fighting a skeleton ship. they sank it before I arrived, then attacked me. I got krakened during their attack and they just watched as I defeated the kraken solo (proud of that one) before promptly trying to sink my ship (which had nothing on it).
My kindness was not rewarded...
That's a nice cannon.
On ps5 i have found really nice ppl on high seas, we even had a concert on my sloop😂
I turn my sounds effects all the way up how do you hear him boarding so clearly? What other stuff you turn down?
That skelly sloop was on yo side
i am so bad hitting chained cannonballs on the mast. i hit nearly all my normal cannonballs.....but the chained ones have such a strange fly curve. i never ever hit them
Does size matter? Not exactly. I was playing with my friend last night and we got jumped by a gally while we were doing a guided voyage. We were lucky to not sink after the initial attack. My friend plays hourglass all the time. I am good with cannons and boat stuff. But if someone boards I'm not the best at it. Either way what ended up happening was we started chasing the gally down because we almost sank them and it became a handfull for them. If I hit them with the jig or sleep ball I had they probably would have sank lol
Does size matter. Without any context
Whats the first background song with the violin ?
“Further” from far cry three

How do you get that spyglass?
I think it was in an old Plunder Pass
@@captain_squiddy oh ok, thanks!
If you're running from a Brig or Gal in a Sloop, go against the wind. Otherwise they'll easily catch up
I got killed while trying to be friendly to a galleon crew i then came by and did a drive bye with fire bombs when they finally started chasing me i just dove to a shrine lmao.
dont be afraid of larger ships learn thier weakness and use it against them being a pirate is not about brute pvp skillz or just naval combat skills this game also requires you to he cleaver and outsmart your opponent you wont always win but be cleaver youll from nd the sea of thieves more forgiving
The duo sloop is definitely one of the strongest ships... The solo sloop is by far the weakest.
Nice vidéo but... you have skills, every shot you do hit, my problem actually is aim because i'm not accurate, i need to practice and die a lot 😂
A key takeaway is that luck always plays a factor in these situations. The skelly sloop assisting, the galley crew being inexperienced, both of those encounters could have easily gone the other way under different circumstances.
This just happened to me tonight
Out of all my hours of playing never thought to hide loot when enemies come , I think it’s bcs they come mid boarding all the loot :(
I just slooped all over the screen 😅
