@@fabricatorgeneralcaz534 I'm guessing they're referring to when you place your soldiers in the perfect position (ie you play with skill), have a 99% hit chance, but then they miss, then they panic, then they get killed, which happens plenty in X-COM haha.
I honestly play the games with the mindset that I am the commander, not the soldiers - I'm just telling them what to do, but they're autonomous entities. I guess it comes down to how you roleplay the game!

Its just a shame that the game can't seem to differentiate between male/female NPC's, in terms of voice overs. Seems like half the random NPC's you talk to have the opposite gender voice lol. Unless half of the female NPC's in the game have completely flat chests.

Game’s genuinely great. The only problems I have with it is how buggy it is. Menu interface freaks out on occasion. Game crashes every ten minutes, forcing me to double down on quick saves. General movement is stiff and sluggish. Definitely could use some post launch polish. Otherwise a fantastic game.

As someone who is currently playing the game, I was trying to figure out this character (whether he was in fact genuine, what he is willing to do and why) and this kinda gave it away. IF you are a PC player this game can be played on Xbox Gamepass (Get the PC only sub) for $1 Usd the first month and $4.99 after that.
Hundreds of games and many brand new (I just downloaded WASTELAND 3, Gears 5, A Plague Tale etc 😛).
Also, you can use any controller (xinput all work I use a cheap logitech and can always rig a ps controller to work also)
So if you dont wanna burn $60 I suggest taking advantage of the deal (not a timed deal, its always that price)
If you want to play on all platforms xbox etc its $15 which imo makes it far less appealing.
But a Dollar to play this??? And 5 bucks after for all those other games???
Far, FAR more received then given imo.

Oh god!!! I am just starting to learn Wasteland 2 and you lay this on me?? BTW I played the original Wasteland on 5 1/4" floppy discs on a Commodore 64 in 1989. It helped me quit smoking. I switched to Fallout somewhere along the line but now it bores me. I tried Outer Worlds but I grew bored with that. So I went full circle and pulled out WL2 - finally.
I have been sitting on it for maybe 5 years or something. I don't remember when I bought it.
Super interesting and leaping straight off the original as if there was no gap. Great to see Bryan Fargo again.

Not only is Pillars Of Eternity not "intimidating" in temrs of text, why are you using backer's backstory character as an example?

I feel the ending sequence after dealing with the Patriarchs 3 kids was kind of weak. It felt insanely rushed and like there was some exposition missing before the ending summary rolled.

Absolutely stellar game. It really tries to use a story and characters that get complicated and messy. Not to mention the freedom it gives the player to experiment and try new ways of doing things. And I love it.
Has great humor, as well as provides some good grit. Just like any good western.
Except this one has more cold steel than hot.

I didn't even realize how young Skill Up was (or how ancient I already am) until he said that. I put him at his mid to late twenties because of his reasonable attitude and quality content, but looks like his young face was telling the truth about his age all along.

Good game but very buggy. Thankfully, I haven't had any bugs that broke the game completely but plenty that have made life difficult or annoying - such as skills not working, characters suddenly unable to move, and one npc even changed all his skills when I added him to my party. Gamepass has been a blessing, not only because it let me play this game without risking $60 on a buggy masterpiece but for the fact that it keeps adding great games to its service.

This game is pure mediocrity. Everything feels token. Nothing about the experience feels personal. The game-play is just a shallower version of xcom.. at least i gave a shit about my squad in that game.

THIS is the game I've been waiting for. There's an area in Wasteland 2 where you encounter 2 factions in conflict. There are many different outcomes to achieve, but the only way to get the ultimate peaceful outcome takes analysis and multiple negotiation trips and certain party skills. You have to pick up on some very subtle clues to even realize this outcome existed. I didn't achieve it, only reading about the possibility later. If there is any crpg you want to experience with hardcore rules in play,(no reloading, accept all outcomes and character deaths and move on,) Wasteland is it.

0:55 He says that the first Wasteland came out in 1998 and that the Wasteland series spans over 30 years... I guess UA-camrs don't have to be able to do 2nd grade math.

How fun would it be to build bases, defenses, training grounds, etc. within a 1st person game? Gears of Bore 40 or what ever touched upon it. But RTS is dead.
