I really enjoyed the medalist, i read up what was available on the kmanga app. I think the following volumes really increase the pace in a good way, and there are definitely friendly characters along the way haha. Yotsuba + sports manga vibes ❤
I have a few of the digital volumes so I might read ahead since that’s how I prefer to read sports series. I love Yotsuba too so I’m looking forward to it!
I've only read Tree of death. I'm surprised they didn't do a larger trim on this release as the art is very good. It is a bit edgy and downright depressing 😂 but I am looking forward to seeing how the next two volumes play out. Hoping the shortness won't be too detrimental to the overall series/ending. Can't wait to try My name is Shingo when I finally purchase it!

I also am thinking of trying gachiakuta, not 100% won over same with ado, both intrigue me but I have trust issues with trying new manga. Here's hoping Tree Of Death stays awesome. Thevart is amazing and the lovecraftian look to the demon monsters is so damn sick. That cover won me over instantly. Oh wow it's only 3 volumes! That's nuts. Great reads
The new releases I read this month were for the most part mediocre so glad to see you read the good ones. A-Do and The Tree of Death I will definitely be checking out and obviously I got Shingo but I'll just wait until it's all out before I read through. God Bless the Mistaken was the only one on your list I read and I think I felt the same way you did. I'll definitely check out another volume but it didn't floor me like her previous series.
I’m going to try to wait until the rest of the Shingo volumes are out before I read any more of it but it might be hard to avoid the temptation lol. I hope you find some better luck with new releases soon! Out of everything on this list I think A-Do is the one that most people will be able to enjoy.
OMG how do I keep up with all these new releases... I've only read Gachiakuta and thought it was okay. It's a decent shonen but I can also see why it's not a huge deal too.
I feel like just these first few months of the year have been absolutely stacked with new manga releases. Looks like there’s going to be more interesting ones in April and May too

I visited a comic book store yesterday (they are stocking my manga "The Dreaming" series), and they were talking about the difficulty of tracking all the new releases and trying to find what's currently popular thru online research. A lot of stuff that have anime releases obviously get a boost, but the ones that don't make things harder for them. Dunno how the market will cope.
Love your vol 1 videos!! I enjoyed Medalist too but the art kind of bothered me as well tbh 😅 Also, you mentioned loving stories that question robot sentience so I highly HIGHLY reccomend "Your Forma". I really enjoy that theme too and its the series that has done it the best for me. Just amazing. It has me questioning a lot. Ideally the light novel would be best but the manga version is good too!! 😊

If you’re choosing between the two I personally think A-Do is better than Gachiakita, at least for now. The plot is a lot more intriguing.
