July 2023 - Day 6 of our 7 day bicycle ride on the Katy Trail.
I ride my bike about 62 miles from Hermann to St. Charles. In St. Charles we stay at Country Inn and Suites. The heat index was around 100 degrees Fahrenheit, but sunset and the exploration of St. Charles motivated me to push forward and keep a good pace. Snacks plundered (given to me) from my mom's house served as my fuel, and allowed me to push forward without stopping somewhere for food or drink.

PLAN YOUR OWN TRIP ON THE KATY. You can do it!
RESOURCES - I have ridden all of the Katy twice and a part of it once, and I have planned all of my own adventures with no problem. These are the resources that I use to plan my trip. With the below listed websites and watching videos like mine on UA-cam I have planned 3 unique trips on the Katy.

Glad you enjoyed it! Thank you! There is still 1 more video coming! It will be a short one, but I had to ring the bell in Machens.

My wife and I finished Lee's Summit to Machens, Mo. Ringing that bell meant a lot

Yes. I love it! I have rang that bell 2x now. Once at the start of an adventure from Machens to Council Grove, KS via the Katy, country roads, a bit of highway, and the Flint Hills Trail, and again this year. Actually, I had quite the special experience ringing the bell this year. You will have to see that in the next video, the last video in this series. If my dad is in to it I would love to give it another go with him. I know he can do it. We learned alot on this one.

Yes. He did an amazing job. Sometimes it's best to listen to your body, recover, and live to adventure another day, which he has. Dad just finished a pretty tough 15.7 mile multi-day hike with me and David in Elk River Kansas. It was amazing! There will be a video on that as well.
