Nice job. I've done about dozen of these now and it can get tricky. I would definitely try a narrower bit for projects with finer lines or smaller detail. I'm using a .125 tapered ball nose at 5.12 degrees for some projects and it works well.

Hey Bucky, may I ask where you got the walnut? Such an amazing tool you have here. When I get ready to order one do you have a link, so you get credit somehow?

I get my walnut from local Amish. And there are links in the description for the longmill. Thank you!

Thanks for the video and information. Can you tell me your speeds for your vbit carve portion. And when you did the male plug did you do multiple passed at different depths rather than going right for the start depth of .18?
    Thanks
    Chris

I was extremely conservative! V Bit was at 30 in/min & Plunge 10 in/min at full depth. End mill was at 40in/min & plunge 12 in/min at full depth.

I had the same idea for a press for inlays. Did you make yours or buy it? Love the videos. I am not to your caliber yet.

Thanks, Brian! Found this press in an old barn. I Made the plate for it. Works great on the smaller plugs.
