So ready for mine to arrive. Not until November though
What are your thoughts on the sturdiness of the table?
And I look forward to any videos you post from this point forward. I’m sure lots of others want to know what this machine can do.
Exciting day!! I have a feeling you are friends with that driver. 😂
Awesome! Congratulations! Looks amazing!
Sir help me when I was upload surfacing program it's carry one line and suddenly stopped and showing grbl 1.1h for help longmill mk2 . Please
Sounds like you need to set the size in the Surfacing Tool for both the X and Y
@@BuckysCustoms sir all everything tryed but it's perhaps grbl issue. And thanks for reply...
hi how much did the dust collection cost
As I recall it was less than $30 back in April of 2020. Not sure if its even available anymore. Thank you for watching!
do you use .025 or .50 in menu to set for a vbit???? then use a 1/4 end mill for x and y then install vbit and set z only correct? your video showed you had .50 in menu confusing me?
You can use any straight side bit to get your X & Y. Just be sure to select that sized bit when you probe. Then use your V bit to set the Z.
Very cool. I could never figure that out.
I am sure you could, Sir!
Have the same saw. Genius to roll it over. I begged neighbors to help me lift it onto the base. Then I attached the two from underneath. I just cleaned and lubricated the saw after 4 years. Will now do it every year.
So I wish this video had come out 2 weeks earlier because I just bought and received my 7 watt from scienci. I probably would have liked the 14 watt version better because the 7 watt is kinda slow.....
Smoke evacuations are importanter! Lol
Thank you! I love it!
Congratulations, Late but well deserved. That’s one cool wife you got there buddy!!
Nice setup!
Thanks!
? is this a grayscale test , or a fill scale test. grayscale test goes from white to black all in one test box , right ??
Love it! great clamp rack. Keep up the great work!
Hi. I just purchased a SawStop Contrator saw recently, so UA-cam has been tossing content at me from channels that are new to me. Like yours! Greetings. This is off topic by a mile, and on a video that you did a couple of years ago to boot, but what is that material you're using for your workshop floor? I need something sturdy afor mine.
Congrats on getting your SawStop!! I absolutely love mine! Thank you for reaching out too! this is the Link to the floor. www.elitegaragefloors.com/perfection-floor-tile-slate-black-6-tiles-case-16-62-sqft-case/
That's really cool! 😊
Hey I notice you have your hose connected to you router which is in front of the router. Did you make a fume extractor or how are you removing fumes. Currently, I need to build something as it getting a little strong for me.
Yes, I have an old furnace motor and blower mounted in a box outside with a 4" hose to a 2" for the Laser.
@@BuckysCustoms Thanks, I was thinking of using four inch to a two inch. Just not sure how to mount to the Longmill Gantry. Thinking of mounting something to the z plate. My dust shoe won't work as it sticks out too far. How did you mount the pickup to the long mill? Any pictures or suggestion as I am sure you have had a couple of revisions by now.🤔. Hey, thanks for the video. I purchased a longmill based on watching many of your video and I have to say it is a great machine. I am used to working with 1/8-1/16 cut when making furniture. But the longmill threw me for a loop as I was not used to dealing with 1/32, 1/64, and 1/128 of an inch. (That took some getting used too🤪)
@@chuckcoughlin3112 Send me an email buckyscustoms@gmail.com and I will send you some ideas/pics
Thank you for this video. I have the laser attachment for my MK2 and unfortunately as much as I love Sienci they did a crappy job when it comes to the setup of the laser. The install is good, but then good luck you are on your own. Poor videos that are outdated and hard to follow that don't cover Laserburn very well and setting are non-existant. Anyway, thank you for your video I am able to find a starting point and some value for speeds and power. I am off to try them out as it should get me much closer than where I was. Oh, helps if you put the spring in with the lens. The matching will quickly throw your lens out of focus and then you start burning everything and you can't figure out why. (yep, been there done that)
I agree there are few videos (if any) with detailed step by step instructions on using the Laser. One of my biggest issues is the power. 7 watt is ok for engraving which I do a bunch of however, its cutting ability is time consuming or basically not really worth the time for making a bunch of anything. I wish the lenses were fixed in the unit! The spring is a big pain in the ass! Especially when you have fat fingers! Keep at it and you will get it! If you have questions feel free to join the FB forum or ask me directly. I may not have all the answers but i will try. Good luck!
@@BuckysCustoms " its cutting ability is time consuming or basically not really worth the time for making a bunch of anything." Totally agree. I have posted this everytime I email scienc . I have no idea why they won't up the laser to 20W. Honestly, I think they are just not familiar enough with laser technology. Or they are putting all there efforts into the new co2 laser. Truth is they are going to get their clock clean by trying to compete in the laser market.(they need to say in their own lane.) For example, have you looked at the X2 S1 40watt. Scienc might be creative but how much will it cost to get to the technology of X2. Auto focus, fire suppression, and the list just keep going on. Did I mention almost 3/4" in a single pass. I am not a huge fan of Xtool due to the price, but I must admit they have engineers that know lasers. (key word was engineer"S"). It all comes down to the long mill or X2 or Table Saw is nothing more than a tool. Some tools are better at doing one thing. Like the old saying- A hammer is better than a wrench to drive a nail into wood. With that all said-I still really like the down-to-earth atmosphere of the owners as scienc. Very refreshing in today's modern world.
Mine will be here in 3days. Can’t wait!
Looks great!
Nice set up
Very cool. 🎶🎸❤️👏👏
😄 Good song choice!!! 🎶 Im looking forward to seeing what you carve with her. 👍
Run!!
I'm in the final adjustment stages of a 48 x 30.. Everything is adjusted as specified, but I still have a problem at either end of the y axes. As the X axis approaches the end of the y's, 2 to 4 inches, it starts making noise or locks up..
Thank you for commenting! Not sure on this one. Call Sienci labs and put in a ticket and a tech will call you back.
Nothing wrong with a little Bad Co. Nice work Dana!
I'm trying to use it with a Genmitsu 4040 Pro and Carbide Create. I doesn't seem all that easy. Not sure how to use the probe that goes with the 4040. Any advice?
Unfortunately No. Try the resources tab on their site.
Very nice.
Thanks, Kurt! Full build video on my channel!
@BuckysCustoms I'll take a look. I must have missed it.

Common practice for plasma and laser tables in manufacturing plants. Good thinking!
Yup the home cycle. Is a good deal, then you kno exactly where you are...important in CNC work😊
Lol, so you added font to the bed via prusaslicer or some other slicer... What.... You want a medal... Lol.. 🙄
Whenever I need a metal I will just print it! 😅 Thanks for watching!
Great video I’m think about getting a Mk 2 30x30. I look forward to more of your videos! Cheers Mark
That is awesome! Congratulations! You will love it!
They make cheap plastic scrapers you can use to tap the side of the print on the first layer (parallel to print surface). Makes it easy to get those small parts off. The scrapper file that comes with the printer is junk.
Thank you!

WTF 🙄
😐
Why this audio?
Swap "fat" font for wider or bolder??😊
the only way to learn is from mistakes but could still save that cutting board add some epoxy :)
can the reg touch plate be used with any machine
gSender can be used with other machines so I would assume the touch block can as well
I dont call them Gremlins...........I take it as my Longmill is possessed!! Something has taken over the machine! Im using VCarve Desktop & gSender. Its hard to take when you are using expensive exotic woods especially when your project can't be saved. The Dictionary has a few added NEW words every time it happens. It would be nice to know the causes.
I hear ya! Then i read about electrical interference so, I took the router cord out of the chain link and, knock on wood, my gremlins took a break! I also put it on a seperate breaker from the longboard.
So did you still attach the router power cord to the outside of the cable tray or how did you run it? @@BuckysCustoms
@@LKMKully I ran it on the outside of the cable tray
@@BuckysCustoms Being a retired Lineman, I didnt think there is much of a electric field around all of them. Might set the router cord loose, see what happens.
@@LKMKully I hope it solves your issues. Never any fun ruining projects for sure. Good luck.
I’m more confused now than I was before
Sorry to hear! How can i help?
What depth do you cut the male piece?
fix your mike
Thank you for the setup vid. The flag next to your clock is backwards, as the blue field is always, always to the left.
Thank you for watching. It is to the left! Its just hanging vertical.
