I bought a cheap foam cannon from amazon as well. I've used it over 100 times already and it still works perfectly fine. In reality you only need 1-2 oz of soap and about a quarter of the bottle filled with water and I got some crazy foam. Have used this technique in all of the cars I've detailed and even when doing larger vehicles
Like mentioned above. You only need about 1/2 the bottle with water. I use CG mr pink and get great results with similar setup
Dose it fit any jet washer
And the foam does what ? Looks cool , so what the hey.
Matthew Jackson loosens stuck on debris so when you rinse it, it washes away and leaves your car squeaky clean
Does that mean you don't have to scrub your car? For light dirt obviously, not caked or baked on stuff. Or does it break that down too?😁
Used the same 1.1mm orifice mod on my amazon foam cannon. And CG Honeydew Snowfoam, awesome results.
Thanks for showing the mod. I kept hearing people talk about this mod but I had no idea what they were talking about. Now I do.
Ordered this setup thanks to you. Works great 🤟🏻
Good video. I have same foam cannon and was considering buying a more expensive one. But I'll try this mod first.
Other than getting the hose connector turned around (watch out for that one), the machine is simple to put together and use ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxfQauTxLT0JLSvqkq10rD79TU4k0Vz8zP . And very nice, too. I'm surprised at the power-it's more than we'll ever need, and we've not even used the most powerful setting yet.I've cleaned off a dirty concrete porch to get it ready for sealing, started to clean siding, and I know this pressure washer will be terrific for cleaning tools this fall. The only issue we had is we had turned around the hose connector, and it leaked. Once it was on correctly, though, we had no problems with the connection. Just remember that the end with the green knob goes towards the hose. It's obvious now what we did wrong, but not necessarily obvious at the time.
Loving the intro! 🙌🙌🥰🥰
Perfect solution to my issue. Thx for the video. 💯👊
No problem 👍🏼👍🏼
Thanks for also showing the orifice swap install itself. Plus citing 16 for wrench size.
Excellent Mod. Thanks.
i just ordered the 1.1 orfice for mine Thank you
Dude! YES, thats a super cheap fix that makes it so much better. Also I really like the two B-Roll shots you 3:02 Keep up the great work!
Still too expensive for me. Read my comment. Got my done for zero dollar.
Awesome thanx just ordered
Great video man! I just ordered this!
Thanks to this video, just pulled the trigger on this orifice, the Amazon cannon, and a SunJoe SPX4000. Thank you for the top quality intro to a killer budget car wash setup, Blake! Looking forward to using it on my '90 325i sedan and '07 E92.
Sweet!!! It will make your life so easy
Will that set up work on a electric Green works 2000psi?
Nice video 👍🏼
Thanks for this info. I'm going out tomorrow and get the Ryobi 1,900 PSI electric sprayer.
Have the same pressure washer. Got pretty good results in foam with meguires gold class. Switched to chemical guys stuff. Not as much foam so I'm eager to try this
I typically use 3 oz of soap and fill up half the bottle. No real need to fill whole bottle up and I get really good results. I also have same pressure washer but bought a chemical guys foam cannon and then upgraded to that smaller piece.
I’m no chemist, but the foam thickness doesn’t mean better cleaning power. The soap also has something to do. I did that mod. Yes the foam is thicker, but it doesn’t remove more dirt than before. Thanks for the video. Wash your hat or better yet, throw it out.
I think the idea is that thicker foam is less runny and liquid and thus stays longer in place to work its magic on the dirt. But I think you’re right in saying that the type of soap used is important too
I realize I'm a bit late here. Been out sailing the seas on Navy Aircraft Carriers. Retired now and got more ME-Time. You sold me on the Orifice replacement. Great Video!
Thank you for your Service to our Country in defense of our Freedoms.
Not even through the video yet, just needed to stop and thumb up the use of ‘No Quarter’ - dope!
Thanks buddy
Thanks! Hope it works.

Funny but true
😂 nice
Badass video bro
Intro was Sick👍🏾
Thanks man!!
Just started checkin out these foam cannons after 5 vids ,read the directions pressure and gpm determine orifice size
Yup. The manufactures of pressure washers must really love these "experts" giving advice. Why mess with a good thing when people are shortening the life of their pressure washers lol.
That said, many of these small garbage pressure washers do work and need a 1.1mm orifice. But still, people should really look in a table to find what they actually need.
Thanks for the tip. Just ordered one, hopefully I see a change. I pay way to much for my foam cannon soap not to get the most out of it.
I bought this 1.1mm oriface for an MATCC foam cannon and when I removed the original oriface and compared it to the "upgrade" part, the hole sizes looked identical.
@@Coelacanth97 yeah I noticed it was the same size as well. I think there was no point in buying this.
Thank you! I was about to get the exact same washer only the model w out the hose reel. Have you tried the other soaps? Great video
I haven’t. Mostly because I’ve yet to run out of the gallon I purchased about two years ago.
@@BlakesGarage thanks for the update ! I put in my order, I'll let you know!!
New subscriber broh thanks for Sharing!
Thanks
Bro I just got this foam cannon but at the time you connected to the pressure washer it doesnt attach kinda well, it leaks water from the quick connector. Did you use some white tape to seal it?
oh hell yeah!!!! awesome. Positive Flow.
I would put the hot water in the cannon first and then add the snow foam soap. Great video! I just got me a 1.1 and can’t wait to try it out. You have to get a short gun it is SO much easier!!
Here's a question. What do you think that happens when all that cold water flowing though that lance hits that small amount of warm water? Some very thick soaps will dilute a bit better in hot water, but other than that, it doesn't do anything.
Helps the soap mix with the water@@AB-80X
What a cool video! Did not even think you could hack it haha I will copy your idea! Thanks for the tip.
The 1.1mm orifice clogged within 30 seconds for me (using Stanley 2150psi 1.4gpm electric pressure washer). The stock orifice works flawlessly.
Blake recommend to exchange the orifice universal 1.1m screw costing about over 7.00 + shipping on Amazon. I am frugal so I went get me a short piece of Nichrome wire, cut a short lenght then insert into the orifice bent the wire to a 90 so it mate flat into the grove slot of the screw and that is it. The new reduce hole diameter will do the job. My way to save money and get result.
This trick works!!!
That Zeppelin is a nice touch
If you swapped in a 1.1 then you most likely had a 1.25 installed on the first test. The 1.1 orifice is made for lower psi washers so it doesn’t get quite as much water
YEP ^
My washer is 70PSI with a max of 105PSI, should i use 1.25 or 1.1 ?
@@nahuel2222 1.1
@@nahuel2222 You don't have a pressure washer......you have a garden hose.....the water system from my city is higher pressure than that unless you are using some different system of pressure measurement.
@@Taylexwow he prob ment bar not psi
Now this is a strong beard 💪
I noticed adding water first is better then your soap but any recommendations on when i use my foam cannon it comes out to strong like my pressure washer is on full blast
Can you provide a link to an adaptor to make the lance wand quick connect fit the soap cannons? The sun joe spx3000 doesn’t fit standard foam cannon connections.
I love your UA-cam channel
Check out nerta active diamond foam, find it quit good. rinse all the dirts out with about 5% mixture.. My fav prewash foam
I like this soap and have the same foam cannon. You may need to adjust the + and - on the top...I get thicker foam than this with mine consistently. I have a ryobi pressure washer so nothing much different in that realm.
I have the ryobi 1800psi and i cant get good foam for the life of me
Just bought one, same day shipping hopefully it will get here early during the day so i can see if it makes any difference with my 1600 psi electric power washer
Awesome hope you find thicker foam after the install.
Hey are any of the sun Joe pressure washers good? I am looking at the smaller one right now and the one from harbor freight. Or is it better to just get the newer version of this sun joe in your opinion?
Don't want anything too big since I'm military and I'm moving around a lot.
No they are not.
I use my foam cannon with my Karcher eco-although it's not set on the eco-mode it doesn't do a bad job took it to my buddy's place changed the end put it on his petrol pressure washer wow what a difference with the form so it also has to do with the amount of pressure coming through Took it back to mine change the end again put it on my Karcher not to good .. took it back to his did the same thing wow
Thanks for the video, I will have to go this route. I have a chemical brothers store not far from me so was wondering if I should buy one of their guns or like you did just a cheap one online.
Bilt-Hamber Auto-Foam works a treat....try it.
James Butler Quality products
I concur!
Love it!!!
I really wish I could get that in the states
Snow foam works good
I am waiting for the bosch easy aquatak 120bar to be delivered....and i have the meguiar's snow foam cannon .... !!! Will i have a good result for car wash??
Cleanest passenger fender after that video was done lol
hi does this work for MATCC Foam Cannon Adjustable Snow Foam Lance for SPX Series Pressure Washer?
whats your ride ? make and model ?? Nice
Blake, what was the size of the orifice you removed from the cannon to replace with the 1.1 mm oriface? There are a few cheap knockoffs of this same cannon and maybe they're not all built equal. Mine is an MATCC and the orifice I removed, after buying the one recommended here, looks like it has an identical hole size. I guess it doesn't make sense to remove one part if the "upgrade" part is the same.
1.3mm was the stock size most foam cannons come with this size. It’s very hard to tell the difference as it’s not much smaller but it makes a huge difference.
Just wondering about one thing. I have 2 foam cannons (one is for just in case). With both on them, I've had the cannon on a vice with a long wrench on the quick connect. These things are so torqued on, they absolutely refuse to budge. How did you get yours loos the first time you did this?
They are more than likely fitted with loctite. Stick the quick release fitting in boiling water for two minutes, then it should be easier to loosen while hot. No need to dunk the whole thing in the water, just hold it in vertically so that the water submerges the connector fully.
Nice it does foam up more. Honey dew sucks I don't like it. I use maxi suds and it doesn't up good I can just imagine what it will do one I change that part.
I notice when you first start foaming with either orafice, the spray pattern is crazy wide, then you cut the video and then the spray is much narrower. What did you do?
Just spun the tip to dial in the spray pattern to what makes the best foam.
I appreciate this video, along with your others, but I'm not sure why the fluffier foam is better. I get that it LOOKS better, but I can't think of a way it gets your car cleaner. It seems like the mod just increases the amount of air that gets mixed into the soap. If so, how does that clean better, at least after a certain minimal point?
It reminds me of how the shaving cream companies used to sell their shaving foam - advertising how thick it lathered. It took me years to realize how much better it was to use a little soapy water and a brush.
That’s a mikuni jet I have quite a few. Did you bigger on the jet or smaller ?
I really hate it when good questions like yours don't get answered :(
Where can I find the stainless steel piece?
I noticed a lot of the 1.1 mm brass orifices sold on Amazon are also including a stainless steel mesh filter many call the “foam maker”… I wonder how much of a difference replacing that mesh filter makes?
I noticed no difference between the filter that it comes with and the replacement. They look the same. It is nice in case it gets completely clogged.
What about adjusting the fan spray width to a smaller fan width on the spray cannon it self ... Just a thought ... Thanks for the video brother ... 😎
That actually makes the foam more watery usually the wide fan seems to make the best foam. You can try with yours but it’s pretty easy to figure what works best.
Could you tell me please, will the foam canon be still affective if the plastic pipe, that is in the bottle, will be much more longer?
the tube in the bottle should likely be slightly longer than the bottle itself so that full screwed in it bends to the side. That lets u get the last bit out easier. If your talking about hooking up plastic aquarium tubing to move the heavy bottle off your wand it would prolly work but the soap solution would take a while to siphon up the tube before it reaches your tube which is a bit of a hassle imo
after you foam it what do you do next
do you know the thread size of the quick fitting? is it 14mm??
You can put a screen in it as well. Works better. Gose in the front.
Do you need to put a new O-ring on the new orifice?
Great video ! But this might sound lame of me to ask ,,but I got the sj 1000 and I bought a foam canon but I can't seem to take the wand apart to connect the damn canon
Dont remove the wand. Just attach the cannon at the end of the wand like you do with a nozzle.
whats a good electrical pressure washer to do semi truck ? something not super expensive but effecient and can connect that foam cannon too and water to wash it off later
It would definitely do the job you can also buy a wand extension to get higher easier also.
Do I need an adapter if I use that spray cannon and that pressure washer to allow it to fit together? Or is this all I need? Thanks
That’s all you need it all connects together 👍🏼
Where did you get that new fitting?
That's lit
Did the one you removed have an o ring on it?
I have the same foam cannon, don’t have a wand but it connects right to the gun of my pressure washer, tried spraying it and water shot out, tried twisting the nozzle as well as the twisting thing on top and pure water, any recommendations ?
Take it apart something maybe clogged or linked in the soap feed area. I've never had an issue with mine.
Hey anyone know a cost effective source for the replacement bottles? snapped mine, company cites their $20 plastic bottle is back ordered. Has to be a standard size available?
OK I got a bear force Lance cannon 😳 how can I hook it up to my garden hose??
Your car was already clean ;-)
Is the replacement jet bigger than the original? If that's the case, then perhaps drilling the original jet to 1.1mm might be an easier alternative.
Smaller
I'm trying to focus my eyes on the foam cannon but it keeps on focused with the beammer lol
Simple and just plain brilliant. Got the same foam cannon last week. Pretty sure I’ll be set after this
Awesome 😎
With what towek do you dry the car?
Did u ever update ur hose on sun joe or u still rocking stock one
Still rocking the stock one.
The honey dew is my favorite car soap
Why y’all hating it’s clearly thicker than before. He didn’t say “this is the thickest foam ever” no he was just stating that it was thicker than before which it definitely was
do you think a 1.0 orifice would work better??? any thoughts on that???
Sounds great for destroying your pressure washer.
Honeydew by CG is one of the best pre wash soaps out there. People are just haters...
What you mean by pre wash soaps
@@akidim13 a soap that is applied, usually with a pressure washer/foam cannon, and left to sit and breakdown dirt and road grime before being rinsed off. It's a good technique for preventing swirls on very dirty cars to get a lot of the crud off before you even touch the paint with any towels or wash mitts. Although being honest for most well maintained cars this is a waste of time on anything except your wheels.
It's hated on cause it's over priced ... Other soaps work the same or better for much less.
@@Hondaddy it's $25 a gallon on amazon...
@@mistersleep7 in america ... The world isn't living there....
Does the orifice need to flush all the way down or just till it's tight? Because the orifice I have won't go down it stops half way..
Just until it seats and it should be fine.
Can you send us a link on the foam sprayer that you have please
In the description
Mine came with 4 nozzles and a black one. Does that mean I can spray 35-35 ft with the right nozzle? What ration water to soap? I want to soft spray my blackened roof. Thanks
Yeah I believe you talking about the pressure washer not the foam cannon.
I have the same Foam Cannon but I feel that it uses a lot of shampoo, I have to fill the bottle two and three times to be able to foam the entire car...... Any suggestions???
Do you know if the sunjoe can be swapped? I bought it from homedepot and I ripped up the box so now i am stuck with it
If you have a receipt you don't need a box to return to home depot
Adjust your spray pattern. It’s to wide. You’re putting half the foam on the ground.
I bought a foam cannon at Amazon. After 2 use, the thing that comes out is watery and does not foam anymore. I'll try this out and hopefully it works!
You may need to check the blades also on the front area to make sure they have a tight enough or loose enough gap.
What is your psi, or litres per minute
We're do you get that at
Does this modify work with pressure washer under 100bar ? (i used karcher k2 which is had only 90bar)
Yes helps on any low psi washer
Couldn’t you drill out the original fitting to the new size? Would that work?
The hole is smaller, so nope.
