    This is literally the video that changed my life 4 years ago! I decided to go natural with damaged, limp, relaxed hair on my head and had NO clue what the heck to do. I had no idea or recollection of what my REAL hair looked like. I started doing this every other week and adding in a few of your other "hair recipes" and now my hair is down my back. It is still difficult to manage, but I absolutely LOVE it and it's me! Decided to put heat on it ONCE for my wedding and my husband almost hit the floor! He was so shocked I had all that hair lol!!! THANK YOU!

      Girl me too. She is the best. Although my hair type is a 4C, I have tried almost all her DIY's. My favs are: DIY with mayo, avocado, bananas, black soap shampoo, 25 minute wash, flax seed gel, rhousoul clay, ACV rinse, shea butter recipe, hot oil treatment, and aloe spray bottle.

    There are not that many UA-cam video's for natural hair care, that actually use NATURAL hair care products!!! I want to thank you Naptual85 for turning me onto Clay/Mud wash. The BEST choice for my fine, natural curls. I no longer have to use, store bought conditioners. I no longer have to be a product junkie for leave in conditioners, gels, and potions. Just wash, add my Apple Cider Vinegar/Water Rinse, organic oils and GO! And now thanks to you again, I'm going to add this Mayo, Honey, Egg for deep Conditioning!!! XOXO

    To be honest I thought it was kinda gross putting mayo and egg in hair until I tried it. I tried it while transitioning and IT WORKS wonders. Every since, my hair is not as dry anymore and it's growing faster then usual. So anyone having doubts....TRY IT.

      +Dana Jenni Do this deep conditioner like every 4-8 weeks or whenever your hair is feeling drier than normal. But don't do this too often because the protein (from the egg) can cause hair to break off if you put it in too often

    • @christine1962ful
      @christine1962ful 9 років тому +14

      +Cindy99765 egg protein s are too large to penetrate the hair like hydrolysed protein or keratin protein like Aphoghee. This will just rinse straight down the drain. it will be great for conditioning the hair though so no harm in doing it more frequently. Hth. If you are in any doubt, Google will point you to a lot of evidence...

    I tried this and it’s absolutely life changing. After the ACV rinse, I felt the curls that had clumped, my hair was softer and I could split it with ease even though I’m due for a trim.
    When I was applying the mayo, I felt like it wasn’t doing too much at all but when I washed it out...😱. My hair has never felt like that before, it was a level of moisture and softness I’d never experienced before. It was late at night and I was tired so I just went to bed without putting on leave in. It’s the next morning and I just sprayed my hair with warm water and there’s no product in it but it’s soooo soft and moisturized. This DIY IS THE TRUTH!!!

    Hey lovely ladies just a FYI! This IS a protein treatment! I would bit recommend using this every week! It will cause hair to go into protein overload which makes hair frail and brittle! So just be cautious! I do protein treatments once every month or 2 months or whenever I feel the need!

    When I first went natural I used to follow your vids a lot and my hair was very strong and healthy. Then I deviated and started following other people and became victim of moisture overload which lead to shedding, breakage and really fine hair that would stretch way too much without me offering any effort to it. It was scary and the pop I used to get in my curls just went away. I would get dry matted hair if I didn't moisturize and get extra stretched hair if I did. I did this tonight and even though I haven't washed the egg conditioner off yet my curls are back and poppin! Thanks Naptural!!!

    For all those who are wondering if this works...it does! despite all the mess I've created and the unpleasant egg smell. My hair gets really dry if i don't put anything in it so to ascertain that this works I've twisted my hair without putting anything in it after deep conditioning it. When I took the twists out I was surprised to see it so shiny and moisturized!! I love this!

    This video appeared today as a recommended video. My first time knowing about it. I had to comment because the length of your hair then compared to now AND also adding into the convo your Melanin haircare line. WOW! What a journey! What an accomplishment! It proves once again one must have patience and perseverance! ❤️ Btw, I have purchased 7 total bottles amongst the offerings of your signature line. Just waiting for the African Black soap and leave-in conditioner to restock on Ulta’s or your website (black soap) to purchase again. 🙂 Your leave-in conditioner is the holy grail hair care product I have been searching for. It works beautifully in my hair. Wishing you stratospheric success with your hair care line. Excitedly awaiting new product offerings. Congratulations Whitney!!

    • @ogeo.8966
      @ogeo.8966 4 роки тому +1

      @@cyndi-bh2of I think it's because of the protein. I read on a comment on another video that protein treatments are strengthening so while they may work for people with straight, wavy or curlier textures, kinkier naturals need to be careful because it may make the hair brittle. I've seen on a lot of videos that it's best to follow up with a moisturising deep conditioner. If your son's hair is still that way, you can try using a moisturising deep conditioner often until the protein-moisture balance is restored.

    Wow! Out of all your video I've watched over the years I have never seen this one 😊. The deep conditioner is literally the same recipe my mom used on my hair when I was a little girl (minus the honey) before I got perms. I used to HATE that egg mayo conditioner cuz it smelled like potato salad on my head but my hair was down my back. Momma knew what she was doing and now I think I will go back to this. 😊😊😊😘😘😘

  • @TheLightShines

    Always come back to this recipe...I alter it depending on my hair needs used 5 big scoops of mayo, olive oil, molasses (didn't wanna use honey), and 1 large egg. Shampooed and did the ACV rinse and applied this in an applicator bottle all over my hair and let it sit for 1 hour. When I rinsed it out my curls were soft, smooth and defined.
    Another time I used mayo, banana, egg, molasses, olive oil it revived my curls.
    Never fails.

    This deep conditioner and shampoo tip was realllly good for my hair. I always veered away from putting apple cider vinegar in my hair because I didn't think it would work but it actually worked pretty well and defined all of my curls and didn't kink it up like I thought it would, but actually made my hair look longer than it usually does. The deep conditioner felt really good on my hair and I definitely recommend for people who are looking to define their curls without leaving your hair looking too frizzy.

    I tried this the other night when I commented and my hair is very soft and already stronger, less breakage already! I will be continuing this regimen! Thanks for sharing! I did not have any apple cidar vinegar so I skipped that step and added a little olive oil but the results were amazing!

      I'm wondering does hair grow down as it gets longer? My hair is a lot but not long and grows in an afro and I HATE afro hair I can never see my length and it's a pain to style and trim. Help with this question? also what things can I do to make my hair grow down?

      Xiu Mitchell as hair gets longer it gets heavier because there's more hair. The heaviness of the hair causes it to hang down

    My hair is literally that length right now. I did the big chop last November, and the length hasn't changed that considerably. My hair is really dry, and gets matted/knots on the daily. I honestly don't know what to do, what products to buy, and what techniques to follow. Is there any advice you can give someone going through the struggle? Thank you!

      Hey so obviously I think a lot of it depends on what type of hair you have, for instance I'm Pakistani so my hair may be different to yours but for me I managed to grow my hair from shoulder length to past the bottom of my back in 2 years. cut out any shampoos with sls parabens and nasty chemicals. Do this vinegar rinse once a fortnight just to remove and excess residue. Also what helps keep my hair super soft is add 10 drops of Rosemary oil to 400mls of water. Put that in a spray bottle and spray onto damp hair and let your hair air dry. I swear this is a miracle treatment! Your hair will be lovely and soft and super shiny :) don't forget though diet plays a huge part in hair. Drink lots of water and juice some vegetables if you can. Good luck with your hair growth journey x

      +Taylor Thornton And I'm going to assume you are probably type 4 hair, so if you don't want to deal with dry hair every morning, try wearing protective styles like braids cornrows or twists. (with your hair or synthetic hair)

    I wanted to come back and thank you. I began my transition about 7 months ago, about a month ago my hair was falling out where the permed and natural hair meet. so I used this mixture two days ago and my hair feels revitalized, especially the natural hair ;at first my natural hair was just crinkly, I couldn't really see the difference but after using this like you said my natural hair was more defined and I could actually see the difference..so thank you so much

    that's actually a great idea it sounds like you would basically be making mayonnaise and then deep conditioning with it. I don't see why that couldn't work remember your just doing whats best for your hair so if it works for you and you get great results then keep doing it. The deep conditioner that i do the most is olive oil coconut oil and honey, I tried the egg and mayo combo twice and didn't like how my hair felt but pretty much everyone else I know loves it. I might revisit it later though
