As a man, it’s taught that it’s feminine to take care of your hair, or have long hair at all, so I haven’t exactly been able to ask me female peers on hair advice, thank you for this.
I deep condition once a week alternating between moisture and protein deep conditioners. I use them after I shampoo and I add oil on top of them. This helps me moisturize my scalp and prevent dandruff. Overtime I have noticed extreme hair thickness and great length retention and healthy hair in general. I definitely buy my deep conditioner because I hate DIYs.
I have nationally straight hair and I want to be a hair stylist but they only teach us about straight hair and I love your channel because I have to teach myself how to work with natural hair and this is very informative thank you 💖💖
Yaaay! ☺️💕 I absolutely love hearing about how the two of you can enjoy and learn from these together! I’ll keep making content for both of you to enjoy!
Tbh I don’t even think I ever deep conditioned. Like I’ve always been confused because there are so many conditioners, such as leave in, rinse, and deep. So I never really thought deep conditioning was this important. The conditioner I use is the ORS replenishing orange one and I put it all over my head and finish showering then rinse it off, that’s like 7-15 minutes. My hair is low porosity and it would kinda dry out easily through out the week and I guess it’s because I don’t deep condition, my wash day is tomorrow so I’m leaving that conditioner in for an hour. I feel like it’ll leave my hair more moisturized for days. And I’m gonna have to buy because I’m Haitian and my mom would spazz on me if she found out I been using her expensive honey, eggs, and olive oil😂. Thanks for the video again it helped a lot ❤️!
This is why I specifically made this video - I had realized so many naturals and people with hair period didn’t understand the importance of deep conditioning and/or didn’t know the difference between a deep conditioner, leave in conditioner, protein conditioner, etc. I’m glad that after watching this it has not only clarified that difference, but you also now know the importance of a deep conditioner on your easy day! Hopefully things have went well since you left this comment 💕 Wishing you the best of luck on your journey 😊
“Period. It just is.” I’ve watched this so many times trying to relearn how to take care of my hair 🥲 so helpful and straight forward while entertaining.
Awesomeness! You definitely broke it down Sis.👍:) I am a former buyer of all things haircare, but am schooling myself to become a DIY'r from here on. So through years of Dominican styling techniques my hair is screaming No More! please stop it you're going against the grain (natural kink) and health of our roots. Defiance has taken the form of damage, breakage, shedding and dryness. Which all 4 on the list are seemingly trying to one up the other.:) The Natural Hair Care Industry is booming and don't come cheap, and this Sistah ain't got Beyonce's Bag.💰 With that said I've been gleaning from Natural heads, such as yourself:) and other UA-camrs to salvage and care for what's left. A big Thanx on the tutorial, which is so on point. I'm a visual learner, and your graphic game, along w/your cuing is amazing. This would be fun to watch if I wasn't looking for Hair knowledge.😉💚😀
Thank you for your support, and I’m happy to hear you’ve stuck out your natural journey even though it sounds like it’s been anything but easy sometimes. I deep condition only when I do my wash shampoo wash day I'm going to use my conditioner as a deep conditioner a CO wash and a detangler and a leave in conditioner it's so moisturizing the conditioner I'm talking about is renpure advanced almond milk and Shea butter clarify and shine conditioner it's so moisturizing it gives me the best slip it makes my curly hair super soft and super moisturize and soft 🥰🥰🥰🙌🏽🙌🏽 you got to try it out and it has no silicones and it is plant-based 🥰🥰😁😁🥰🥰👍🏾👍🏾

I've finally started deep conditioning within the last few weeks. I have dreads but I need something for the new growth. Anywho, I should have _been_ used deep conditioner. My hair is thick and sucks up moisture like a sponge. I got one that needs to be rinsed out, and one that I apply in the morning/ every other morning. The difference is astounding. My hair is so soft and shiny that I had to look up a UA-cam video to see how it works. When I go get my hair retwists, my hairdresser puts me in for a deep conditioner every other appointment. Hopefully, I can cut that out and save some money now.
Thank You Now I know. I had locs for 10 years. I’m 15 now and i recently took out my love without knowing anything about natural hair🤦🏽♀️. I lost a lot of length to breakage but I know more than I did😌. Once again thank you for clearing that up for me 😌.

Thank you for the video. 😊 The instructions with the product was sadly lacking. Ours is so very stiff. My mother cannot adjust it herself so it has to be returned. 😢
Thank you for your support! 😊💕 & yes, great process to do - especially while transitioning to help keep those moisture levels up and prevent some breakage!
This was cool and very informative. I have a better understanding of moisture vs. protein conditioning. I'm a DIY. It's cheaper. I appreciate it. Thank you.
Amazing, Question: How do you know which deep conditioner is moisturising or protein? And for DIY how do you make your own deep conditioner either a moisturising one or a protein boost?
Wait, so do you have to wear a shower cap while you leave it in? And how do you heat your hair at home? Is it necessary to literally sit under a blowdryer for 30 mins?
Ever since we’ve been in quarantine, I’ve been deep conditioning every week. I’m so proud of myself.
