I would really love to see what you think of Mistborn. I know it looks very intimidating, it is a big book. When I read it, the longest book I had read at the time was Order of the Phoenix 😂, so I was afraid it would be too much. But honestly, Brandon Sanderson's writing is so easy to get into, even for me it was, and I don't read half of the amount of books you read. So, soon after starting you just kinda forget about the number of pages because you're so deep into de story and the characters.
I have this app called My Library where I can keep track of all the books I actually own (great way to keep track of series) I currently own 97 fiction books that I have not yet read, and 31 non-fiction books. 128 all together.
Watching your videos makes me feel better about having a TBR pile, I only have a couple reader friends, and the rest judges me for it, so I love feeling like I am not alone. At the moment I am looking at somewhere around 40 to 50 books.

I've had decades more time to collect them, and yes sometimes I think I should read more of the books from my shelves (but I have such a wonderful library!!!), but then again, even if they do nothing but make me happy by looking at them, and as my husband says, they make wonderful insulation against the heat of summer and the cold of winter. So, there you go. Feel no guilt.
so I had Dance of Thieves on my tbr for over a year and just last month I picked it up. And OH MY GODDD! I loved it!!!! The romance was sooooo good! ughhhhh my heart♥️

Loved this video. I have 30 on my physical TBR, but I only started to get into reading in February 2019. When I haul books, I always scan them with the Goodreads app, and add them to a TBR shelf. That way I always know exactly what books I own that I haven't read yet.
I feel you Hailey. I have 86 unread books on my bookshelf. The amount of books I need to read to get through them all is more than that though because I only have parts of series. I've been trying to read every book on my bookshelf for over 6 years. But, it doesn't help that I am always tempted by new books and am a slow reader. (I can only read up to around 45 books a year and that's only if I spend like all of my free time reading, which I can't always do because of work.)

Romanov and The War Outside are both great. I cried while reading both. Reading Monica Hesse's Girl in the Blue Coat made me go out and by The War Outside and now I want to read all of her books.

Mistborn is definitely worth it. I put it off for so long because if its size, and finally picked it up for the last Tome Topple challenge. So good. I have to read the final book in the series and plan to in February. I haven’t heard a lot on Booktube about There Will Come A Darkness but I did enjoy it. I’d give it 3.75 stars.

You have to read carry on by Rainbow Rowell! It's actually so good. I wasn't into it at first but I just finished it this morning as my big book and fantasy book of the month and it's actually so good and sweet 💕💕
Every time I got around to reading Carry On I had read multiple fantasy books and just was not in the mood to read another fantasy so it is still on my tbr.
Wow, I think your unread books total amounts to the entirety of my physical collection. I slowed down on buying books in the last year, so at last count, my physical TBR is only 11 books. My digital TBR is about 35 though. And I've started visiting my local library more and more which draws my attention away from books I already own. It's really helping stem my impulse buying issue. I was genuinely shocked when you showed Leviathan by Scott Westerfeld. That was one of my favorite books series I read back when I was in high school... Wow, that was six years ago. And don't feel guilty about potentially un-hauling Carry On. I finally read it last November after years of it sitting on my shelf. And I found it majorly disappointing. If you don't like it within the first 50 pages, it's unlikely you'll enjoy the rest.
Some books I enjoyed were Summer of Salt, The Wicked Deep, Sherwood and The Light Between Worlds! I’d totally love to see a Twisted Tales video! Those books have been on my radar for awhile, but I have yet to read one!!
I loved Starry Eyes and Alex, Approximately. They both held my attention until the very end. You should also look into reading Just Friends by Tiffany Pitcock. I read that at the end of 2019 and it is one of my favorites now.

I have thousands (tons, literally, according to the moving company) of unread books. Just sitting here in my dining room, without even standing up, I can see at least 200 (I quit counting at 130) unread books. My underground lair and my studio are both lined with double-stacked bookshelves, and an entire bay of our garage is full of boxes of books. That should make you feel better.

Hey hailey I have a little idea that might help. Why don’t you try once u get a new book shelf to make a rainbow tbr to put in your bedroom. That way you have the rainbow aesthetic and it right there once u wake up and you’ll be able to decrease if not complete ur tbr this year. BUT in my defense, at least 30-40 of them were free (ARCS from book festivals, unwanted books, etc) The others are all either thrift store or clearance section books. I am apparently very good at acquiring books on the cheap XD And since you get a lot of books from publishers, it's actually not that surprising you have so many!
I had 209 unread books at the beginning of January, not including nonfiction (I couldn't be bothered to count those). I read 19 of them in January but I also acquired probably 10 new ones so I still have more than you.
Seeing some of the popular hyped books that are unread makes me feel so much better that I haven't read a few of them either: Skyward, Girls of Paper and Fire, Mistborn etc. I don't actually know how many unread books I have, especially now I've done a bit of an unhaul, but it is probably somewhere over 130 and I at least want to read half of them this year!
I like to write down all the books I own in the beginning of the year, so my tbr of 2019, in my bullet journal. That way I can actually see how many books I read that I didn't buy brand new. Shockingly last year I read 83 books but only 4 (!) of those were from my tbr of 2018 list......

Oh my goodness I really really urge you to read the Graceling trilogy by Kristin Cashore. It's the most amazing concept with incredible worldbuilding and the plot is just... *chef's kiss*
Children of Virtue and Vengeance is not upto the mark but I insist that you read Puddin' it's as good as Murphy's Dumplin' Plus, you came off better than I'd expected. (Thought it'd be about 300 or something....) Good job

coz you asked i have done a quick count. 90 something on the one bookcase. 13 on my draws, 50 under the bed about 10 in the living room, 4 ebooks and at a guess 70+ hiding in the loft. i have a buying problem and a no time to read problem. thou honestly i dont plan to read all of them and need to do a critical clear out.
Definitely don't feel bad! Yours and my number is pretty much the same. I thankfully had to stop buying books to... you know... afford food and ridiculous stuff like that, so the number isn't going up. My newfound love for the library isn't helping me though, so I always end up stuck around 140 no matter what I do

Hailey you should do a video where you turn around all of the ones you haven't read and then throughout the year you read them and you're allowed to turn them round to the colourful side. 👍 Or even just do it for the start of tnis year and again at the mid point and end of the year or something then see how you're progressing 👍
I literally just counted all of my books last night that I have unread so this was just perfect timing, I have a total of 82 unread books: 40 of them are fiction/history, 35 are classics/reading/writing books, and 7 are unread on my Kindle. I feel pretty good about that number especially since over 40 of those are classics, reading, writing, and reference books I plan to read throughout the next number of years.
I heard that the Darkest Magic books by Morgan Rhodes won't ever be finished. Something about the publisher... You can also read more about the status on goodreads. I plan on unhauling them because I don't want to read a series that will never be finished. :(

I like to write down all the books I own in the beginning of the year, so my tbr of 2019, in my bullet journal. That way I can actually see how many books I read that I didn't buy brand new. Shockingly last year I read 83 books but only 4 (!) of those were from my tbr of 2018 list......
Ahh saw a few of my favs in this, I'm excited for you to get to them!! I want to try something similar where I really focus on reading the books I own. You got this!

Must do Archenemies! Ugh. I love that trilogy. Seafire is good but the sequel (the name has escaped me) is better. The Flatshare became an instant favorite after I read it last year. Your TBR is sooo similar to mine. I don’t have them but they’re on my goodreads TBR
Oh my goodness I really really urge you to read the Graceling trilogy by Kristin Cashore. It's the most amazing concept with incredible worldbuilding and the plot is just... *chef's kiss*

If you're having trouble with Carry On then I really recommend the audiobook as the voices are amazing and were what got me through it.
coz you asked i have done a quick count. 90 something on the one bookcase. 13 on my draws, 50 under the bed about 10 in the living room, 4 ebooks and at a guess 70+ hiding in the loft. i have a buying problem and a no time to read problem. thou honestly i dont plan to read all of them and need to do a critical clear out.
Definitely don't feel bad! Yours and my number is pretty much the same. I thankfully had to stop buying books to... you know... afford food and ridiculous stuff like that, so the number isn't going up. My newfound love for the library isn't helping me though, so I always end up stuck around 140 no matter what I do

Hailey you should do a video where you turn around all of the ones you haven't read and then throughout the year you read them and you're allowed to turn them round to the colourful side. 👍 Or even just do it for the start of tnis year and again at the mid point and end of the year or something then see how you're progressing 👍
I have about 40 unread books, and I am working my way through them!
I literally just counted all of my books last night that I have unread so this was just perfect timing, I have a total of 82 unread books: 40 of them are fiction/history, 35 are classics/reading/writing books, and 7 are unread on my Kindle. I feel pretty good about that number especially since over 40 of those are classics, reading, writing, and reference books I plan to read throughout the next number of years.
I heard that the Darkest Magic books by Morgan Rhodes won't ever be finished. Something about the publisher... You can also read more about the status on goodreads. I plan on unhauling them because I don't want to read a series that will never be finished. :(
About 80% of the books I own are unread!! My exact count is 109.... What a doozy.
