My entire country is on Corona lock-down for the next 2-4 (maybe more) weeks, so I'm binging your hauls/unhauls/recommendations to see if there's anything interesting I should hurry and buy before the bookstores close 😂
I've recently just unhauled 6 huge boxes of books. I now have all my books in one main room with some extras in a couple of other places. I discovered that I have in excess of 650 unread books. I will read these books before I purchase anymore. This figure is only my physical collection. I have many more as ebooks.
I can imagine the students in Hailey's old high school waiting for her unhaul uploads to see which books are coming to them soon :)) and maybe calling dibs on some in the comments or in a facebook group lol
"Destruction is your mission." Oh my god get that printed on a tiny vest for him HAHAHA Also, yay for an unhaul! I had 205 books and now I have 50 (of course I read a tonne too). So therapeutic to get rid of everything you've changed your mind on. I hope you feel so much lighter and happier with your tbr! :D
The rest of the story by sarah dessen is such a good read! I recommend you read it. It is a perfect summer book! Sarah dessen is one of my favorite authors! And I absolutely loved The Rest of the Story by her!
Andy Lee I use to have so many Sarah Dessen books when I was in high school. She was my favorite. I would always get a book when I went to Walmart with my mom or grandparents
Dress Codes for Small Towns is so so so good! It is about so many good things and does all of them well! Sexuality, friendships, relationships, identity, faith, community... so much goodness!
I loved Reverie so much! It was such a unique story it's definitely worth a try. I also loved the rest of the story by Sarah dessen! I got an arc unsolicited and didn't think it would be my thing at all as I'm not huge on contemporary romance usually but it was really good.
Aww just finished Reverie and absolutely loved it! Never read anything like it. The plot was very much focused on escaping to other worlds (reading/daydreaming) in a very literal way and what that actually means.
We Rule the Night is not particularly a fantasy like any other. It was slow, but amazing and is actually inspired by a real life event and strong women and it was one of my favourite reads last year! Definitely give it a go because it is NOT like any other fantasy I promise you that!
I don't usually watch unhauls but I watched this one to see whether or not your were unhauling Timekeeper (which is one of my favourite books ever). But you didn't so there's still a possibility you can expose people to it in future! I was, however, given another reason to not watch unhauls. So many of my most anticipated TBR books disappeared into that box lmao.
Merciful Crow was absolutely amazing! The writing is really pretty, the plot was interesting, and the romance was one of the few I’ve actually enjoyed.
It's still nice to be getting rid of books because since Christmas, I've been giving books to the charity shops because people need it to more than I do xxx
The Smoke Thieves was a book I picked up on a whim because there was an offer and I really wanted something else, it really took me by surprise and I was hooked! It ended up being a 5 star read for me. I'd give that one a try!
Muskaan Gupta they’re just fun to watch, in my opinion. hearing other people’s opinions about books that aren’t necessarily from a review. it’s the same with unpopular opinion videos
I recently did a book unhaul for varying reasons and my copy of The Order of Darkness ended up in that pile too. It was one I temporarily DNFed a couple of years ago because I wanted a break from it and I've never picked it back up since. I did enjoy what I read but it clearly didn't have that much of an impact on me to continue reading it. If I did want to try it again I think I have a Kindle copy too so having the huge brick of a physical edition wasn't worth the shelf space.
I don't usually read romance, but I really liked I Believe In A Thing Called Love and I think it's so much better than To All The Boys I've Loved Before (I'm comparing them because the main character in both of them is Korean). I'd recommend it but I know you've got a ton to read!
After the fire is one of the best books I have ever read so if you ever get a chance to read it even if you don’t have a copy still it is absolutely amazing
Thank you, Hailey!! I've been trying to find that Juliet book forever but I could never remember the author's name! Finally I can add it to my Goodreads! :D
After The Fire is what got me back into reading! it's such an incredible book. It's very well written and the story is incredible and based off the Waco tragedy. I highly recommend it and it's one of my favorite books
The Storm Crow was SO good when I read it! It was a lot of fun! The world-building was great, the magic system was really cool as well, I highly recommend you give it a try, if you haven't already!
I really liked After the Fire!! I picked it up at Barnes and Nobel totally on a whim and read it last year, it was my first 5 star of the year!! Highly recommend it!!
I adored the Mad Women Upstairs. One of my top reads in 2019. The characters are really dimensional and the plot just drew me in. It was hard to put down because I had to know what was going to happen. I highly recommend giving it a go before unhauling it.
I greatly enjoyed the Stolen Songbird, I am definitely planning to pick up the next two books. There was no insta love and relationship progress pretty naturally, also there is some mystery about the curse. I love author‘s writing and her new series the Bridge Kingdom is absolutely amazing.
I know what you mean about bridge of clay. I adored the book thief and was looking forward to reading bridge of clay, but I found it confusing. I only read a few chapters, because I was so lost. I couldn’t even tell where the character’s were or tell them apart. I might try to read it again, but I’m not sure. The writing felt all over the place.
I actually REALLY loved dress codes for small towns. I read it last summer and it was great. Tbh the only thing I can remember not liking was the fact my copy was missing half a page? Which isn’t the books fault
I really liked I believe in a thing called love by Maureen Goo. It’s my favorite book of her. It’s a cute contemporary read so I think you may like it too. 🤔
Hey girl! I love your videos and your personality. You seem so bubbly and I feel like we would totally get along. I hope you're going to BookCon this year, I'd be pretty excited to meet you 😅 it'll be my first year there and in NYC so I'm excited. Fingers crossed it doesn't get cancelled!!
You asked for perfect is a Great Book and I feel like not enough people know about it. Personally, since I was going through the same thing at the time, I feel like the high school anxiety rep was great and you get a new perspective on how these overachieving students go about their day and what they really do and how it affects their lives and mental health and especially their social lives. I thought the romance was also really cute in this book and I think it’s a really easy book to read, it won’t take you a while and Idk I thought I’d try 😅
I enjoyed "Dear Haiti, Love Alaine" a lot! It bit off a bit more than it could chew at times, opening up themes that were never satisfyingly wrapped up, but ultimately it was very fun and adventurous. The narration was especially outstanding; the main character, Alaine, is snarky and smart and well-developed.
When I saw you put the screenplay of Fantastic Beasts in the box I felt like crying. I only have the Crimes of Grindelwald one and while I get they’re obviously not for everyone... it’s kinda like nooooooooo!😂
What you said about reaching a point that all ya fantasy starts to blend in and sound the same... I felt that! Potentially with most YA. Yeah the Smoke Thieves was very 3/5 for me, I'll give the sequel a chance, but wouldn't convince you to hold on to it...
We Rule The Night is about girl fighter pilots and I think is *loosely* based on a true story about Russian pilots. Also, I saw Dear Martin in the box, but I don’t think you mentioned it BUT if you liked THUG I think it’s comparable, and I actually liked it a little better.
I did this over 2 years ago and I still need to give them away:D I totally get what you mean with the Alice in Wonderland copies because I'm the same with The Mortal Instruments:D:D
I personally really enjoyed Dress Codes for Small Towns and Merciful Crows... but I'm honestly not sure if you would. I think your tastes are a bit different from mine... Great video! Unhauling is so cathartic :)
Oh, I really liked Dress Codes for Small Towns! It's a really wholesome story about a group of friends trying to save this town fare. It's low stakes and sort of coming-of-age. I gave it 4 stars
You only had one book that I have and that is "Hope you get the message" which i honestly got because of the hype. However the other books you mentioned I had no desire to read them. But great video
*imagine having enough books to open up a whole ass library*
That is my goal
JaszieAngel honestly same
Master Oogway i could neva

Yea
Can’t relate
(With 23 books i own……and soon i’ll b getting rid of 9 of em😟😟)
Why are unhauls so satisfying
Andrea Samayoa right
It's so cool that you made a library for your old high school. I would have loved something like that at mine.

Dhor16 Why do you sound like you have personal experience with this😂 jk
I really liked The Merciful Crow, it has an original premise and solid writing. Heard good things about Reverie but I haven't read it myself
yrynoy i loved it!! so good!!! try it hehe
Merciful Crow was really good! I almost didn’t give it a chance but my sister convinced me, and I am very happy she did.
You, your bookshelf, your book recommendations, your book haul, your book un-haul, basically your aura is so comforting love your channel ❤️
“You already have a million copies of this” Hailey: “I have 95.” That just made me 😂

I loved the merciful crow! At first I was meh but then I kept thinking about it. A very unique magic system!
I read After The Fire in 2018 and it became my favorite book of all time and nothing has topped it yet. It's so gripping and a really quick read!
I loved Reverie so much! It was such a unique story it's definitely worth a try. I also loved the rest of the story by Sarah dessen! I got an arc unsolicited and didn't think it would be my thing at all as I'm not huge on contemporary romance usually but it was really good.
