I have a philodendron painted lady cutting in water for 2 months now. No idea why it's being so slow, but it hasn't died. I loved the green tradescantia 💚
I’m not sure for indoor plants if this is as much of an issue, but if you intend to set the plants outside in the full sun you have to keep them in the shade for a couple weeks before setting them out in the full sun. I did an experiment a few weeks ago with some figs I ordered online where I set some directly in the sun after transplanting and others I set in the shade. The results - the figs set in the sun lost all of their leaves while the figs in the shade lost only a couple leaves and are doing well. 🤷♂️
Can this process be used for succulents especially echeverias? Thank you for this wonderful video you surely know how to take care of these beautiful plants.
Love the video Lucia! One question though, I'm also trying to make my marble queen potos look more lush! The thing is, I see you put a little bit of water before adding the propagations, but what about the next time you water the whole plant? Do I also add just a bit of water to make it moist or should I bottom water it the same like you would normally do?
This is the point where my rooted cuttings fail. Here is my question...If newly rooted cuttings need to be kept moist for 1-2 weeks to get acclimated to soil, wouldn't that be over-watering the mother plant for 2 weeks? How do you get around causing root rot to the established mother plant? It doesn't work well for me to add the rooted cuttings. I will appreciate suggestions from anyone on this thread if Lucia is busy:-). 🙂💚
It is true, that’s exactly what happens. But there are other UA-camr who talk about how to go on. You have to do a little search on them. One thing I remember is, that the cuttings are first moved to a separate pot of soil or mineral mixture (I forgot which one) and when they are rooting and growing new leaves in there then they are put back to the mother plant for example, or you put them generally into mineral substance. But go and watch other UA-camrs!!
Hi! I have not good experiences with transplanting from water to the mother plant especially when the mother plant has to dry out before watering. They are OK in the water and they die in the pot. What's your experience with this? Now I am thinking of put the water propagations first in a small pot and keep the soil Moist and slowly cut off the water, and then put them with the mother plant. (I am talking for ceropegia cutting)
Just what I needed as I have been propagating my golden pothos but not sure what to do next! My cuttings are much bigger than yours so I hope they will work ok....
Hi there, it's said you must keep the new transplanted cuttings moist all times, if you plant it with the mother won't you ruin it by watering so often?
that’s a great question ! I think it depends on the plant, but i try to keep moist (not wet) that’s the key ☺️! it has been ok with mine :) which one are you repotting?
@@PlantsandLucia Thanks for answering! 😊 I would like to use this method to fill my golden pothos pot and end up with a lush, bushy plant. Mine is still small , but there are few growing in the pot so I think it'll be a leggy slender plant. Thanks again 😘
I'm trying instead of going straight to soil instead going to perlite then soil. I just put them into perlite today so in maybe a few weeks from now pull the transitioning cuttings out of the perlite with the perlite stuck to the roots into the soil with a lot of perlite mixed in. What do you think? If I rember I will update this comment in a few weeks. Thanks.
Do you have a picture? You should be able to move her to soil and should be able to cut the roots a little if you do that.. but maybe send a picture of yours and we can see your options 💚
Hi! Great question :) We should try to keep the soil moist to make sure the plant doesn't feel the change so much, but don't water too often to prevent that the soil is super wet, that can cause root rot.
Hola te acabo de descubrir ,creo que eres española? No entiendo el inglés tal vez pudieras subtitular los vídeos en español? Me encantaría poder entenderte🥰💚

Oh my goodness, you had that old fashion semi static thing going on with music while you were putting the pothos in the soil and I panicked thinking you had gnats BAD!!... Ahh, corona brain!!
hahaha yes !!! Thankfully we don’t have so many gnats as it looks with that effect 😅 ooh they are so annoying ! sending lots of positive energy to you in these times, dear friend !

I really enjoyed your passion and explanation!

It's so informative and you're so beautiful!!!! Thank you for the video!
Thank you 💚💚💚
Oh that is interesting because I propagated a golden potos but direct to soil, ahaha. I hope that its roots grow.
Hola ! it usually does root in soil as well 🥰 keep us posted 🌿❤️!
Lucia do you pot the plants into the mother plants to make them look fuller?
Yes ! It really looks beautiful 🥰 do you pot them back with the mother plants as well ?
Plants and Lucia no, I’ve never thought about it until I seen your vid! I think I may try it. Thank for the idea!!! 🥰
Those pothos look really healthy. Mine got dry and damaged a while ago. I put them outside for a few weeks. Is starting to get cold though
Hi! Do you have Instagram ? Maybe send a picture and we can figure it out together 🙃🌿
que tipo de Tradescantia es esa planta que estas propagando??🥰🍃🍃🍃🍃🍃🍃🍃

haha that's perfect! We are on the same wavelength 😊

You're plants are so beautiful! You have a new subscriber here
What is that root holder thing?
My pothos roots aren’t that long like yours, but the leave is much smaller (it has new leaves), do you think my transplant will be okay?
Hmm do you have IG by any chance ? Maybe you can send a picture and we can see :-)
Great info!! Thank you
Yaaaay so happy you liked it ❤️🙃
Awe! You seem so sweet!
I think I water propagated my monstera too long, the roots are over grown... should I keep them in water or is it okay to move to soil?
Do you have a picture? You should be able to move her to soil and should be able to cut the roots a little if you do that.. but maybe send a picture of yours and we can see your options 💚
Should ı water it like a normal plant or more freguant

@@PlantsandLucia thank you
Beautifully but the most important part missing: mixing soil for each plant.
Wow
Can I move my pothos in soil to water not a cutting but the entire plant?
Hi! hmm I wouldn't do that because it may be too shocking for the whole plant
@@PlantsandLucia ok thanks
