When you're on a stone floor cell, already cold, and someone throws ice water on you. The sensation is like being set on fire and then you just shiver afterward. Don't ask how I know.
Interesting that fellow Forgemaster Issac told Hector last season that he prefers the coldness of the stone in Dracula's castle becuz he grew up slaving in sum the hottest climates on earth
In the Castlevania lore, it isn't the first time a religious faction/organization has taken up in worshiping Dracula. The best example of this that I can think of is in Castlevania: Order of Ecclasia where Dracula's return is foretold by humanity's desire of wanting him to return.
you also got the priest shaft from richter belmonts time ( forgot the title ), it is also mentioned in symphony of the night where shaft is the second last hidden boss if I recall.
Hector is my favorite Castlevania character, not because he's the best, but because of the memories I have watching my dad playing Castlevania: Curse of Darkness.
@@Dangsm This is clearly a prequel to Curse of Darkness. He was plenty pissed and wrathful in the game. All of this is probably why. Not gonna spoil anything for people who hasn't binged yet, but...I'll just say Hector's gonna be hell when he gets revenge.
@@TimedRevolver Its obvious they are going or Cure of Darkness, but it seems like it would be really different considering all the changes. I'm still sad that it seems Julia won't exist in this, unless they give her a different origin.
@@Dangsm I agree, and as someone familiar with Curse of Darkness, I applaud this series for making me genuinely interested in Isaac as a character in comparison to him from the games. If that's the trade off for a slower burn to Hector's development, I'll take it. That said, they _really_ bitch out Hector at every turn. I would say dude can't catch a break, but he's such a sap that somehow falls for pretty much everything.
I've only seen the first ep but it's interesting that nobody knows exactly who slayed Dracula but they know he's dead from vamp word-of-mouth and ironically, a fanatical order of *Priory monks* that legit believed in his cause want the _'vampire murderers'_ punished
@6:33 *"whining **_bag of 💩"_* - Hector got played so completely by Carmilla that his current plight is sympathetic even tho he tried to wipe out humanity
Hector's "humane genocide" still genocide besides it really didn't matter what he wanted cuz the delusion that had him believing Dracula would stop at "culling" is what allowed Carmilla to con and exploit him
If you guys haven't played Curse of Darkness, you need to. Last season and this one reference events from that game. Saint Germain plays a big role in it, too. Also, it's Sigh-pha, not Sif-fa.
For me only the finale battle did. That one could have been shorter, otherwise they were jumping around between stories enough that it never got boring, even Alucard's story worked more as a nice breather.
swanpride Too bad Alucard’s story basically had no point to it other then making him mad. It sucks cuz he’s my favorite character of the franchise. For the show specifically it’s Dracula.
I don't know, man, I feel like this is her first romantic relationship and she's insecure af about whether she's good enough in bed. Offhand remarks getting to her is kinda understandable lol.
With everything that's happened to Hector, I wonder exactly where the story is going with him. I feel that Hector and Isaac are going to be opposite sides of the spectrum. Isaac is on the march to eradicate humanity while Hector will go down the path to exterminate vampires completely. That's just my headcanon for now, I could be wrong.
Binged this in one day. Story is engaging but the animation was a step down in the fight scenes. It didn't reach the heights of ep 6 and 7 of season 2 imo.
these vampires don't know how to take care of their humans, unless that's a very warm cell he should be dead from hypotermia, that or atravation in like 2 to 12 days also, vampire squirrel...
You can definitely tell there was a drop in budget for this season. Either that or they "Rushed it". There's a lot of choppy/lost animation. I think they had a choice of either 100% smooth with a decrease in visual appeal, or consistent visuals at the cost of smooth animation.
Good job, better then some of the other reaction video's. Who am i but a Miserable Pile of Secrets to call you on making the intro Too long before the show starts .................
Personally not a big fan of Trevor and Sypha suddenly being a thing. I'm fine with it being a thing but the way it's just suddenly a thing is what bothers me. I hate when characters are suddenly together, I want to see the act of them getting together for the first time. Show me the journey! Don't skip straight to the destination. Other than that I'm really enjoying the season so far.
During the entirety of season 2 we got little hints here and there that Sypha really liked Trevor. Then in the epilogue of season 2 she was basically asking him out. The series gave them a month, it makes sense that their relationship has progressed that much within a month. Romance isn't really what the story is mostly about, they can't really afford to spend time building their relationship in a gradual manner, I mean, look at the amount of episodes we get each season. First season had only 3? Then we had 8 for S2 and now we have 10? Gradual romantic subplots are for shows that could afford 20-ish episodes per season unless the story is specifically focused on romance.
@@chickenbiskit3620 I disagree. There were no hints, that's just two ppl being friends and you don't need 20 episodes to build romance. Not only can it be done in one season but it can also be developed over multiple seasons, this is season 3 afterall. I don't think anyone is suggesting that they make it into a drama solely focused on their relationship but it felt like it came out of nowhere.
I 100% saw it coming. I wanted it but now it's just a thing without seeing it happen. If season 2 simply showed a kiss at the end then all my problems, gone.
Not to spoil things, but I think this is gonna be the other kind of story: Girl and boy like to bang so they hook up and realize that they have different worldviews. There are signs that Trevor and her may not last...

Take also notes from Castlevania: Chronicles, Rondo Of Blood and it's remake; Dracula X Chronicles.

Godbrand in the last season made it painfully clear that vampires do indeed have bowel movements

Get everyone to react to this please!!!
This season is depressing. Can't wait to watch you guys react to it.
I just finished castlevania can't wait to hear what they have to say about this season.
Godbrand used to complain about pig's blood giving him the shits, so it's safe to assume they do defecate.
Hector in that cell was very reminiscent of Griffith
Hector is basically having a vacation here compared to Griffith's dungeon time.
Just binged it! Holy moly, so much to dig into with this season.
Man season 3 came out of nowhere for me I’m excited
Trevors face when hes beer gets frozen, realization, saddness, acceptance
Man RIP Hector
And Trevor’s using Dracula’s cloak right?
Hector is alive
If you think back to season 2 Rick, Godbrand did mention that pig's blood gives him the shits. So yes, vampires do produce waste
I thought Rick played or watched the witcher. Striga is a name from Slavic folklore and she's always female
This season was a ride. I wouldn’t say it was as good as the previous two, but still enjoyable.
It was a damn slow one but man did it pay the fuck off lol
I would say that it felt like season 1, a lot of set up for the next season.
It was soooo slow like there were some really good moments but many scenes just dragged on for so long.
