@@smitezer3240 hhmmm i dont think so. its on netflix, out in the public. it does not really bother me at all and besides, Castlevania is not mine, I just work for the show. :) thanks for the concern thou.
A couple things I want to point out here: a) Dracula allowed himself to be killed. b) He hadn't fed in years and was depressed. Not focused nor militarily minded. c) He didn't use his demon/monster form. d) He was pulling his punches against Alucard and could have disposed of him, along with Trevor and Sypha very quickly. e) He was betrayed and basically lost his entire army. He also went so far as to exile his last line of defense. f) It was a 3v1. They also trapped his castle. All things taken into consideration..approaching Vlad's castle at a neutral point + a full army + healthy and fed + monster form + no suicide or pulled punches..this infers that this rendition of Dracula is completely and utterly unstoppable. The premise of this show, over the course of 2 seasons... all that work and team up, would have led to certain death regardless... This show is a gem.
a)That`s what tends to happen in most of The Games. b)The historical Vlad was almost always depressed but it didn`t make him less of an effective warrior. c)We saw glimpses of it in the intro and it would go against the point of the Series` central paradox of very humanized misanthropic characters on both sides of Dracula`s war, indeed the only non-misanthropes initially are Sypha, the other Speakers,Alucard and Lisa. d)True. e) That also happened to the real Vlad multiple times, indeed his own baby brother Radu sold him out to the Ottoman Empire!Weirdly,Vlad`s considered a national hero by the Romanians whilst Radu is similarly remembered by the Turks! f)That`s also how most of The Games went!
In fairness every video game has that same premise. The Belmong at the beginning of the game stood 0 chance of winning and it was only theough the upgraded weapons, stats and equipment gained by fighting through the castle that allows them to stand toe to toe with Dracula
The brilliance of this episode is that in manages to somehow make you care about the protagonists and the antagonists at the same time. Dracula has clearly gone mad with his hatred of humanity, but at the same time we see that, given the proper circumstances, he saves a human (Isaac) from death when he could have simply saved himself. Further, the circumstances and abilities of the characters remains consistent throughout, making the fights exciting. No amount of friendship is going to make Trevor's punches hurt Dracula, but a clever use of his skills and weapons can at least weaken him. Further, none of the three can take Dracula 1v1, but when united can push him back and force him to be on the defensive. I liked that the resolution was more of them weakening him until he could see what he has become instead of them just overpowering him. It is fitting that his quest for suicide ends in what was basically suicide by son. Speaking of which, I think regardless of whether or not "Dracula" is resurrected, the father of Alucard died right here.
That's actually the main point of each Dracula iteration they are different because during resurrection they forget part of their previous memories and personalities so they act and respond in different manners each time for example the Dracula of Symphony of the Night is Heaven and Earth different in attitude and personality to this one due to having been reborn 5 times by then so each version has a different set of values. Here we see Dracula at his most human unwilling to kill his son by the time SotN rolled around Alucard was more or less just a distant memory and he has no qualms with trying to murder him.
Well, I have an hypothesis that, in case of being correct, explains why after SOTN we still see Mathias coming back. As we know, at the end of SOTN he cries and wants Lisa and the entire world to forgive him, hinting that he could finally rest in peace. So my point is that the REAL Mathias Cronqvist tested finally in peace on 1797 A.C, but, when he was near the heavens, his soul became divided in two parts, the lightside, which is the one who rested in peace and the darkside, who doesn't fights for avenging Lisa anymore, HE FIGHTS JUST FOR THE MOTIVES THAT WE SAW IN DRACULA BEFORE SOTN AND RONDO: HE IS TRULY EVIL NOW, and, in consequence, wants really to destroy the world.
@@AaronDarkus In other words, there was no real Matthias Cronqvist or Gabriel Belmont! Those were placeholder names because the developers weren`t allowed to straight-up say the vampire antagonist was Vlad the Impaler due to the Romanian government regarding the man as a national hero for holding off the Turks and Boyars(And of course they like to ignore the fact he impaled hundreds of thousands of his own countrymen for the most minor offenses!)

Also even though they are renewed for another season I really hope we get to eventually see the tales of Simon and richter (basically I want to see them do the OG castlevania, simons quest, rondo of blood and symphony of the night)
What I love about this show is that Dracula isn't just painted as some monster. He has feelings and he knows pain. This episode had me crying so hard for him and Alucard.
Idk, Vampire Killer would've been a bit too hype and fast paced whereas Bloody Tears has that cinematic and emotionally triumphant quality to it that fits the setting of a final battle. Vampire Killer would be better for a more fast paced mid season fight with less emotion riding on it. Maybe next season we'll get to hear it.
Maaan this episode! The trio really work well together considering they all met not too long ago. Great dynamic. At first, I was thrilled at the Drac/Alucard fight (and it was excellent), but when Drac started pounding Alucard’s head against the floor that’s when I was like “Dude that’s your son.” You would think nobody will expect Dracula to have paternal feelings and all that, but because we see that he truly loved his wife I thought he valued his son just the same. Glad that was the case, and he realized what was doing, and we got that emotional scene. Excited for the discussion next episode, especially on that ending scene.
Never played Castlevania (not a video game guy) but I usually like media that adapts Dracula and Werewolves and such. This show is great!! It has zero nostalgia for me, and still loved the adaptation. Looking forward to a new season. Also, I hope the rumors of the same team working on a Berserk adaptation is true. There is a great story there... and Berserk fans have to be the most patient people on the planet. Even if it takes years, I really want a faithful adaptation of Berserk.
To be fair, the Castlevania don't usually feature complex stories, this is especially tru for the old games. They have a lot of great lore, but the stories aren't super deep. It's all about the gameplay. These two seasons are supposed to be an daptation of Dracula's Curse, but since that game's story is so simple they had to introduce elements from Symphony of the Night and Curse of Darkness. You definitely get the most out of it if you're a fan (I flipped my shit when Bloody Tears started playing during the battle against the generals), but there's some benefit to being unfamiliar. Like a particular twist involving Dracula that happens in the second to last game, Aria of Sorrow. There's some good plots, like Order of Eclessia, that don't even deal with the Belmonts and actually feature some emotional storytelling. Sorry for rambling, but I just wanted to say there's a lot material to work with. We don't know how far they'll go with the story, but I hope they at least adapt Aria of Sorrow!
Wise Wolf Tony You are right. A Berserk adaptation is tricky. But I think part of the reason is because of how animation artists are treated in Japan. From what I know they dont get paid well and are force to work long hours. Studio animations here are different, so many studios could take on the project given the right price. Thats why Castlevania has given me hope. They seem to be playing the long game. They had no issues with setting up storylines that will pay off in the next season. Thats what Berserk needs -A studio thats not afraid of releasing good quality seasons every year or so. But then again it might just be wishful thinking from me. I love the 90s anime, but I too would love for them to continue animating past the Golden Age Arc. My most anticipated has always been Falcon of the Millennium Empire 😭😭😭 It would be a dream to see it properly animated.
This episode, between the opening battle and the fight with Dracula as well as the incredibly tearjerking way the fight eventually ends, might be my favorite moment in anime EVER. And I've watched at least several thousand hours of anime. I can't remember a time when a piece of entertainment, anime or otherwise, literally made me WEEP. Not just cry, I was WEEPING like tears streaming down my face in those final moments where Dracula comes to his senses. It's an incredible series from start to finish, but this entire episode is so impressive in so many ways, it never gets old, and it can't be praised enough.
It's finally time. Also yes guys season 3 is confirmed and is being made as we speak. Which if it follows the events of the games it should take place during Curse of Darkness. Which is where Issac seeks to resurrect dracula while at the same time building his own army and Hector seeks redemption.
this is probably the best action animation to come out of the last decade, and the fact that it's a love letter to Castlevania fans is just icing on the cake.
Jesus, Alucard really was right wasn't he? Rewatching this it is so obvious that Dracula wanted to die. He had SO many opportunities to kill each of the three during that fight and that is after having starved himself for over a year. Even then, he still had to just stand there and let his son stake him. I also don't think it was an accident that he ended up alone with his son in his childhood room. I think, on some level, Dracula knew that was the only way he could let go.
The reason vampires can’t see their reflection in mirrors is because old mirrors were made with silver, and silver is a weakness for vampires in most lore, but newer mirrors are not made with silver, so if the mirrors in Dracula’s castle didn’t have silver he could see his reflection
Remember, this was Dracula when he was holding back, he hadn’t felt in a month or two and he was severely depressed. Dracula at his full capabilities would have killed them all with a single backhand.
Adi Shankar, the show runner, has said he would love to bring Soma Cruz into the show. Maybe season 3 or 4 will have a time jump and that’s how they will bring Dracula back.
Season 3 will cover the conclusion of Isaac and Hector's story, Im guessing after that season 4 will cover Simon's story, S5 covers Rondo of Blood, S6 Symphony of the Night and S7 would cover Soma's story since he is the official end of Dracula's curse. Essentially a greatest hits of the most popular Castlevania stories. Maybe we could get an extra season covering Leon Belmont's story from Lament of Innocence since it was during his life that Mathias became Dracul Vlad Tepes and started the Dracula curse.
this show takes place before the events of Castlevania 1 on the Nes so if I had to guess the final episode of the series or the next season may involve Simon Belmont in some shape or form. again this is just me guessing.
Hey, little tidbit: mirrors used to be backed with silver. That's why vampires had no reflection in it. Not the case anymore. So vampires would have a reflection in modern mirrors.

Trevor is voiced by thorin oakenshield and Dracula is voiced by dwalin.
The way trevor braces back to back with sypha you can already tell the Belmont's bloodline will continue lol
the only reaction / review who recognized Bloody Tears!
The death of D had me in tears. "I'm killing our boy...". damn Netflix. So dark. 10/10 season
Yes! Bloody Tears was awesome! But I feel Vampire killer would be more fitting
Fun fact the reason for the vampires having no reflection in a mirror thing is because mirrors used to be made with silver.
We can only hope and pray that Berserk gets the show it deserves
This episode is a very good example of how to show team work.
This episode alone makes the entire series perfection. The song made me so damn happy. Finally a show true to form, so good guys so damn good!
It's finally time.
Also yes guys season 3 is confirmed and is being made as we speak. Which if it follows the events of the games it should take place during Curse of Darkness. Which is where Issac seeks to resurrect dracula while at the same time building his own army and Hector seeks redemption.
I loved the fact that Dracula wasn't even fazed by Belmont punching him. 6:23
6:25 - "You must be the Belmont. Only a Belmont would think *punching a vampire* was a good idea."
this is probably the best action animation to come out of the last decade, and the fact that it's a love letter to Castlevania fans is just icing on the cake.
Here we go boys!
You two especially makes me love this even more! I’m here for Rick the story and the Soundtrack… you’re in there somewhere Aaron.. promise!
Great rendition of Castlevania imo.
One of the best fight scenes from a animated show ever. Been cosplaying since 2015. Working on a Trevor Belmont cosplay for 2020 Indiana Comic Con.
They better release this version of Bloody Tears eventually!
Rewatching the series now to prep for season 4. Forgot how epic this music is 🤘🏿💞
The reason vampires can’t see their reflection in mirrors is because old mirrors were made with silver, and silver is a weakness for vampires in most lore, but newer mirrors are not made with silver, so if the mirrors in Dracula’s castle didn’t have silver he could see his reflection
Remember, this was Dracula when he was holding back, he hadn’t felt in a month or two and he was severely depressed. Dracula at his full capabilities would have killed them all with a single backhand.
Graham McTavish knocked that line out of the ballpark. I mean, damn...
This was by far the best episode of both seasons. Great reaction guys.
Another excellent thing about this episode is the sound design! It's so powerful and forceful sounding!
this show takes place before the events of Castlevania 1 on the Nes so if I had to guess the final episode of the series or the next season may involve Simon Belmont in some shape or form. again this is just me guessing.
The music is so god damn beautiful
castlevania is quickly becoming one of my favorite animes of all time. This is the best episode for sure.
I mean, it's not an anime but I agree. It's a great show
I love the whip physics in this thing
The Morningstar whip holds the soul of Dracula's first love
Not Dracula's first love but the soul of Leon Belmont's first love
Leon's betrothed
he will be back in 100 years if the show is like the game or follows the lore
*...WELL BLOODY HELL!! I HAVE TEARS IN MY EYES!!*
Yea new season was already confirmed
I would assume Dracula has found a way to get mirrors that work on vampires for his personal home.
Dracula and Alucard deserves a hug
😭🥺
season 3 has been confirmed
Hey, little tidbit: mirrors used to be backed with silver. That's why vampires had no reflection in it. Not the case anymore. So vampires would have a reflection in modern mirrors.
I usually don't like making other show references but did Trevor's Morningstar remind anybody of Hisagi's Kazeshini from Bleach?
Hey guys love watching your videos, keep it up! You guys should finish watching the hellsing abridged series they recently uploaded the last two episodes.
This episode WAS AMAZING. When Bloody Tears came on>>>>>>>>>>>>
Lmao that song at the end is SO 90's
This episode had me crying!
Sypha is finally an anime girl who’s not useless *Naruto flashbacks *
Alucard was ready to kill the monster that was once his father,
but in its last moments, the monster became his father again.
I keep forgetting her name but the "Magician Speaker" she's so over powered it's insane lol
Ohhhh it's been tough keeping my mouth shut about this episode while I've been watching you guys react 😂 this episode was Castlvania PERFECTION! 👌
Loved the reaction as always.
Bloody God damn tears!
Gaming adaption done right we need more game to anime adaptions A.S A.P
Funny that a net flix original set the bar so high in terms of script writing, animation, fight choreography, etc etc. Really puts Japanese anime to shame. Compare castlevania to DBsuper
steven it also shows that game adaptations can be done well.
3:55 god mode activated
Best Episode on the show by far for me. 🙏
Most people forget that Dracula didn't drink blood before the fight
Beauty of an episode ... gr8 reaction
WHERE'S BLACK MIRROR
I was so excited for white bear....
I got married earlier today with my wife and her /my kid
congrats
Thanks
Congratulating man
I heard Castlevania crew is working on new Berserk adaptation for Netflix.I hope it is true...
KoRReaktor I believe the director said he would like to but I don’t think it’s confirmed, however I do believe they are rebooting another anime adaptation
KoRReaktor If you care it’s a devil may cry adaptation not a reboot of an anime
1:36 if you're just here for Bloody Tears
When Dracula is so OP he has to let someone kill him.
Sypha is surprisingly strong I think she might be the strongest of the party
Bloody tears was fuckin awesome.
I am no longer Castellation, I am Santa Barbara fucking! (What a rotten end)
In what do you guys work at? Like I can imagine you make enough money of UA-cam nowadays but did you all work at a store and turned one of the rooms into what we see in the videos? because thats the vibe I get from you guys or was it just a friday night thing that everyone used to meet in one of your houses?
This episode's action was 10/10. Combining aspects from Avatar, Dragon Ball, and a little bit of Bleach. Seriously, good music that fits perfectly with the fight just increases the enjoyment tenfold.
Sypha is so fucking badass YIKES
During a lot of these reviews the reviewers recognize Bloody Tears so late?!😂😂😂
HOW THE FUCK ARE YOU TWO NOT CRYING????
No one beat Dracula he just said I'm done
Idk if there's another season, but the creator is making a Devil May Cry Netflix series that's gonna be connected/in the same universe as Castlevania. Hope y'all do that one as well!!
Not same universe. Same multiverse.
@@ashleyjohnson9651 Multiverse means possibility for crossovers through multidimensional travel but each universe is not aware of the other until said event happens, universe means they can directly and easily meet and reference each other since they exist in the same world.
@@ashleyjohnson9651 In the same universe means it takes place in the same world, like most of the GTA games for example. Multiverse is like DC comics where they can travel between worlds.
